Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

MeMom- I am pretty sure you feel the same way my mom feels about my girls (and Luke).

Red Robin is a fun place to celebrate... I would not be shocked if we end up there this Thursday for a birthday too!

She is getting so big... both of them!

Yea for more pictures. Back to POP and the first bus pic--- they are to cute!

My precious 3 year old is in her bed crashed for the night. She officially turned three at 6:49 this evening. We were eating at Subway after church with several friends and when the clock turned to 6:48 we all shouted "Happy Birthday." She fell asleep on the way home since she didn't get a nap today. I just took her straight out of her carseat and put her in the bed. I just sat there for a moment and watched her sleeping. All you mommies out there know and understand that feeling of awesomeness as you reminisce about where your child has been and where they are now. I think back to all those firsts Brooklynn and I went through together - our first night at home with all the excitement of things to come, our 6 weeks of hanging out on the Disboards together, first food, holidays, teeth, crawling, walking, that first Disney trip and the many that have followed. As I sat on Brooklynn's bed tonight and watched her sleep I thanked God that He had blessed me with that precious little girl. It is an awesome responsibility to know that I have been entrusted with that precious little life. I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

MeMom, thanks for the great POP start!! I do love those play-doh animals :thumbsup2

Jill, your reminiscing of the day Brooklyn was born brought a tear to my eye. We went to a picnic last night with an 8 day old and I was reminded that my growing boys were once that small and precious...it's easy to forget!

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!!!

Love the pictures of the airport. I hope someday to fly in for a trip. We always drive 2 days to get there and while I really love doing that, I want to take a trip that only takes about 2 hrs. to fly.

When I saw the picture of the beautiful sky over the Hippy Dippy pool it makes me remember all the times I've seen that in person. Can't way to see it again.

Sorry to hear about your needed surgery Memom, but glad to know you now know what's wrong and how to take care of it and that it's not more serious than it is!!

Looking forward to more of the report and pictures!!!

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!

We are driving to Memphis on Tuesday and staying there overnight. Patrick and my sister are going to Dollywood tomorrow. I think the plan right now is to stop in Nashville on the way back to P.F. on Wednesday, but I don't believe we are going to the mall....we will probably just do some quick sight-seeing so I probably won't be seeing you...but there is some good news...Our October Trips overlap! We are going the 13-18! We have breakfast with Cinderella on the 17 and we don't fly home until 5:30 on the 18, so hopefully we can meet then! We haven't really planned our days yet...I have one week of work left when we get back from Tenn. so then I can really start the planning :rotfl:

Thanks so much for sharing Brooklynn's birthday dinner with us! When I saw lady liberty behind you I thought of Miss Piggy.....
John's burger looked very interesting, I might have to try one of those. Brooklynn's Dr. kit cracked me up, I remember having one but not nearly as fancy! I'll bet she will give Bella the once over with it.....

Loved the picture of Brooklynn looking at the ME. What a feeling it is to get on that bus! The POP pictures are great, I have never seen that resort and now I feel like I was right there with you. The pictures of the pictures in the rooms made me think of all the Disney classics that I saw when they were new!;)

Can't wait for more!

Aw Happy Birthday Brookie! :dance3: Looks like she had a fun day.

That horse at Red Robin reminds me of the horse from Mary Poppins that is you see in line for the Great Movie Ride!

The pictures from Pop Century were great. I can't wait to return in September.

Miss Bella looked like a pro checking in to the Disney resort, and what would a trip report be without Brooklynn in a water shot.

I also seem to take a lot of pictures in the airports on the way down -- you are not alone. ;)

I got so excited looking at the pictures on the ME and at Pop. It's such a great feeling when you are finally there. I also really love that Pop is the first stop on the ME.

I can't remember if I told you, but our flight to Orlando in February is supposed to leave Boston at 7 AM and get to Orlando around 10:15! I don't think we've ever had such an early flight before and we're so excited to have a whole extra afternoon there.

I was away this weekend...catching up...

It's official - the girls' only trip in October is on!!!!!

We will be arriving on Saturday, October 17th and leaving on Wednesday, October 21st. We are going to the Halloween party Tuesday night.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! :dance3: I'm so glad to read that it worked out!!

MeMom, I'm sorry to read that you will be needing surgery! :sad2: But at least there is an end to the pain in sight. I hope the pain meds and all will help you through the October trip.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYNN!!!!!!!

What does your Disney brain think of when you see this?

Brooklynns3rdBD002.jpg

Two things come to my mind, so we'll share and compare.

Oooh, Red Robin. An excellent choice. Yum. Looks like a wonderful little party. I laughed at your comment about all the pieces decorating the living room floor....glad we aren't the only household like that! ;)

The horse - two things for me as well...Cinderella's Carousel and Mary Poppins! :thumbsup2

Bella napped while we ate.

:yay: You've arrived!

I looooooooove those first two pictures. I can almost smell Disney World from them. Ahhhhh :cloud9: Doesn't it always feel so wonderful when first arriving again?

The picture of Bella sleeping is beyond adorable.

This is SO sweet. I have these same feeling swirling within me as Henry's second birthday rapidly approaches. It's so wonderful, exciting, and amazing.

Probably so, and it is a wonderful feeling!

Have fun with your birthday celebration! You'll share pictures, right?

Now that the pictures have been all loaded, we should have regular updates. Jill thinks it can be done in nine weeks - before we leave for the October trip. It probably can, but I'll probably be skipping through some parts.

That it is.
The next year will bring more smiles and laughter, along with huge growth in so many areas. She'll be sassier and sweeter than ever at this time next year!

Now that we've covered every decade, we'll have to narrow it down and cover every building. :)

You've had some fun family time in the last couple of weeks, haven't you?

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!!!

We've been lucky to get good prices on flights, and it is so nice to be there in under two hours.

I'm supposed to wear a knee brace, but it's annoying. It makes my pants leg ride up, so I doubt I'm going to be very good at putting it on.

Great update MeMom!! The POP pictures sure got me excited for our 1st stay there in Sept.!!!!

I hope you enjoy it. It is certainly not as cool as a deluxe, but it has its own special fun feel.

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!

We'll work on coordinating our plans so that we can cross paths. It shouldn't be too hard to meet up for a DIS hello and a picture.

I got doctored several times before I left yesterday afternoon. I'm happy to report my blood pressure is good and my heart is still 'beeping'!

My kids always like to look at the pictures on the walls at Pop, because they grew up watching all of those movies.

Aw Happy Birthday Brookie! :dance3: Looks like she had a fun day.

That horse at Red Robin reminds me of the horse from Mary Poppins that is you see in line for the Great Movie Ride!

That Mary Poppins horse and Cinderella's Carrousel came immediately to mind.

The pictures from Pop Century were great. I can't wait to return in September.

Miss Bella looked like a pro checking in to the Disney resort, and what would a trip report be without Brooklynn in a water shot.

And September is almost here!

Brooklynn loves her pool time!

It is great to get there early and get started on your day. You can get a few things in and still get back to the room for an early enough bedtime so that you aren't exhausted the first full day.

In October, there are no 6 a.m. flights, so we'll be doing one around 8.

I was away this weekend...catching up...

We were just saying yesterday how fun it's going to meet you guys on NYE!

Disney World does have its certain wonderful smells. Whenever I am at a mall and smell chocolate chip cookies, it takes me all the way to Main Street.

I'm glad other Disney brains could think clearly about the horse, even though we were in a Universal affiliated place!

We talked to Brooklynn about picking up her My Little Pony pieces after playing with them, because Bella will be scooting around very, very soon, and she puts everything in her mouth.

Bella didn't let the flight or any of the lugging her around affect her at all. She just went with the flow and slept wherever she happened to be. She's pretty laid back, so we'll hope that personality sticks! :thumbsup2

********************************

Today is our first full day with kids. It's going to seem long for everyone. I predict an early bedtime tonight. :)

Have a Magnificent Monday, all!

We went to Red Robin on Saturday as well but for lunch! I had the bacon cheeseburger. I am like Jill...I only like minimal stuff on my cheeseburger (lettuce and tomato) DH had the bbq one...I thought that was gross looking too!! Caleb has his first little bit of cheeseburger and a french fry dipped in ketchup. He did not like the ketchup much!! Later that night he also tried green and black olives and he actually ate them without a funny face!!

Hope you had a great birthday Brooklyn!! I too am getting real sad that my little one will be 1 in about 5 weeks!! :sad2: I can't believe it has been almost a year since he was born!

Hope you have a great first day back with students!!

Enjoy your first back to school day with the kids, MeMom! :)

Brooklyn's b-day dinner looked like such fun. Glad you got to spend time with your girls!! :goodvibes

Yeah for arriving at Pop. I am giggling to myself b/c I had an instant flash of recognition and a sigh of happiness at seeing the airport. Yes, the airport.

The Play Doh building is terrific! And yes, I think your giraffe looked exactly like that! :thumbsup2

Nine weeks until you go back, you say? How fun to have this TR to tide all of us over!! :upsidedow

I've never heard of Red Robin before now, it looks like a fun place and there seems to be yummy food. I googled it and there's one in Myrtle Beach so I may have to give it a try.

I love all of Brooklynns gifts. Lexi got the My Little Pony box at DTD too! It was so fun trying to stuff all the pieces in that we could. She was so thrilled to have all the outfits for the different princesses. So cute!

I personally really enjoyed the airport pics, and wouldn't mind seeing all 5100 pics...

Awww, POP is awesome looking!

The pics at the pool of the girls are great, they are just enjoying the time. Bella looks like a sleeping doll. :cutie:

Good luck on your first full day! :goodvibes

Looks like Brooklynn got some great goodies for her birthday!

Love the pictures of Pop...my memories came rushing back...what a wonderful feeling! :lovestruc

Jill- what wonderful thoughts of Brooklynn's first years. You made me cry!

MeMom-have a fun full day of school! I have a dr. appt. this morning to re-check my ankle then on to school to (hopefully) finish my room! Fingers crossed because the meetings start tomorrow!

Yeah, it has begun! I LOVED that picture of Bella lounging by the pool. What a life! Speaking of Bella.............. we got an adorable Chihuahua puppy for my DD who has been begging for one for 2 years now. Well, we let her name the dog. She thought about it forever, and then told us that she couldn't decide between Belle or Tinkerbell, so she would name her Bella. I couldn't help but snicker at that. But as sweet as she is, our Bella is nowhere near as cute as yours! :)

I may have asked you this before, but my short term memory loss is returning right now................. what's the difference between a preferred and standard room at POP (distance wise). I noticed you said you had a lake view in the 60's which is the same thing I have requested. It looks to me like there is no difference in distance between pref. and stand. b/c you have to come out of the same elevator area no matter which side you are on. Right? Or am I confused?:confused3 I just can't see by the map I have how the pref. rooms are any closer to the check in building for them to be like $20 a night more.

Ahhh, I am so excited to be staying at Pop again!! Thank you for the pictures. I love the 60's poster with The Sword in the Stone. Makes me want to stay in that section now!

Bella looks so adorable checking into Pop.

Have a wonderful first day with Students!

Hi MeMom and Jill! So excited to be aboard for another TR. I love how much Brooklynn loves Bella! There are so many other things that I wanted to comment on, but I haven't had the chance. Right now I'm at a loss!

But I do want to say thanks for sharing those pictures of your classroom, MeMom! It gives me the courage to be a little bolder in my plans for my classroom this September! I love penguins and Disney so I was more open with having penguins all over the room. My room door had my name and classes in Waltograph, but other than that, I was pretty low-key with Disney stuff. That'll change this year because I know if I have more, I'll be happy every morning when I step in the classroom!

I like how you had certain characters to designate certain areas or bulletin boards in the room. I already know that I want to have a small section of my wall dedicated to "Things that are Against the Law" (has to do with my name) or something of that sort. It'll be mistakes that the kids make in writing (ex. mixing up the your/you're or saying should of and not should have). Once I point them out, I'll put them on that section of the wall and the kids don't have an excuse to say that they didn't know! Haha, you know, because the hundreds of times I correct it on their paper doesn't mean anything. Anyway, with your classroom pictures, I'm going to think of what Disney character I can use to put there. Maybe Woody because he's a sheriff? Hmm ...

Thanks for the ideas! I really appreciate them! Looking forward to more of the TR and more pics of the lovely family. God bless!

Happy "late" Birthday to Brooklynn!

Hooray for the girls trip in October! :woohoo:
We will be arriving on the 21st-the day yall are leaving! :sad1:

Glad to hear you know what is wrong with your knee. Hopefully it won't give you too many problems between now and the surgery!
