Bronchitis as I suspected and no one has

I had bronchitis for the first time in my life this month. I took a z-pac and finished it on December 13. I feel much better but I am still coughing stuff up at least once a day. Sorry to be gross but is that normal? I know that the cough can last for weeks but I figured these fits would've ended by now

During my worst case of bronchitis, I was coughing for MONTHS. My coworkers were all concerned I was dying, but the docs all assured me it was very normal - it's a lingering illness - even if you FEEL great, you can SOUND horrible for a long, long time.

is it promethazine (phenergan) with codeine?

My Dr put me on this several years ago when I had pneumonia. It was the only thing that helped the symptoms.(along with the antibiotics, of course)
You do need to be able to rest and sleep while on it though.

Forgot to add that I had such a bad attack on the way home from work (on the bus) that I got off early and had my niece come get me. I was mortified.

I see you live pretty nearby me. My Granddaughter had a pretty bad asthma attack from this infection and it is going around. Most importantly, please don't smoke! I haven't had bronchitis since I quit 11 years ago and I used to get it for months every winter.

Hi! I have never smoked, thankfully.

Still having coughing fts if I don't take the cough med every 4 hrs. I've had MANY MANY cases of bronchitis since I was a kid, but I still have no patience with it.

Yes - drink that water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm drinking tons....I am so thirsty and my throat so dry and irritated.
