Hi,
If anyone (like myself) lives in an area where you are unable to get broadband, then I have just found out that if you visit www.bt.com/broadband , you can register your interest. It shows you the amount of people that they need before starting the 'works' to upgrade your local telephone line, and the amount of people that they have got. When it reaches a certain 'trigger level' they will be ready to come and update.
Apparently, where I live there are now enough people who have registered their interest and we should be back to broadband by August 20th! (Can't wait to get rid of the dial-up sound! (well, and the slow speed.))
Sorry if you already knew this - hope this helps otherwise.
Richard.
