ROFR Thread April to June 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Nice deal. At these prices I'm starting to get tempted, but I'm still very concerned about the inability to book elsewhere. Specifically, in the event you need to cancel last minute. How good is RR availability for last minute short trips?
We typically book well in advance but I have occasionally scouted short lead time bookings and could see some things that would work. We now have 600 RIV points, between 2-150 point direct contracts and a 200 and 100 point resale. This gives us a decent amount of flexibility to try other resorts and also plenty of points to stay at our favorite…Riviera

Not extended?
NOPE. It was too hard to find a 50 point OCT UY...I know, I know, I swore I wouldn't do it, but the price was right! We sold off too many two years ago, but hey, we did really well since DVC bought several OKW's back at a premium.

DH and I are getting up there in age, so we still have 2057's for our son and DIL LOL!

:rolleyes1

I was mostly curious if they are done with the “ROFR to flip to 2057” plan—at $75 seems like a decent opportunity for Disney.

West Coast to Hawaii is a 3 hour time difference…. but it’s MUCH worse flying to FL and having it be 3 hours the other way!
I get it, but As an east coaster, my view…. Aulani every 3 years roll points, can’t beat the price. One week… Renting a condo for 8 this year and it’s $2k a night on Ko Olina.

But saying something is primarily west coast resort of could be sold as a west coast drop down product doesn’t mean that no one from the east cost will buy it.

Looks like some good grand villa points. 👍

If didn't have ADD I probably would've employed the same strategy instead of buying 3 home resorts with plans to add another 2 🙃

The Alaska/Hawaiian merger has cut the flights from Portland. The ability to use the Alaska Companion Fare on Hawaiian starting later this year should help to alleviate that.

I don’t know when you are going, but if it’s for the summer then Hawaii SHOULD be more than the Devil’s breath of Florida!
Going to Aulani in September! I did see the Companion Fare will be later this year, so that is a positive for a future Hawaii trip.

Definitely, it was but they passed on it. Two-three years ago, they were buying back OKW...how times change! We began regretting overselling, so are just happy to have enough points for our stays.

We have another construction project starting soon, so DH is saved by that fact! :rotfl2:
