It's great to hear that others are getting all packed for Panama! I'm almost done, just working on final swimsuit selections! I buy suits like most women buy shoes....obsesively! I am bringing 14 swimsuits....HA! I spend most of my days on the Magic near the pool, so I'll use them all for certain.
It's tough to pack for so many days at sea. I wonder what the temps will be like after sunset....anyone know?

OMG....14 suits!!! Wow...I am bringing 3 or 4 and wondering if I have too many!! More power to ya!!!

I have laid out most stuff but have not actually put anything in the suitcase yet....hope that hurricane will not affect anyone of our Disers leaving next week...

Dee -- thankfully - no one in our house really believes in the packing fairy, but they do have a firm belief in the following:

Dish Washer fairy - leave dirty cups in sick - magically they are cleaned and left in drainer.

Laundry Fairy - put clothes in washing machine - then they are magical dried & folded.

Pixie dust for everyone having traveling issues. Weather it's due to hurricanes or airport issues, we're all pulling for you! We've had some health scares with the father of one of the cruisers in my gang. I know how frustrating these last-minute snags can be.

I also wanted to mention that I think the ship's water is quite good. I wouldn't bring tons of bottled water. Leave room in the suitcase for your pirate costume instead!

Is anyone else at work "pretending" to look busy like me?!

I don't know how I can make it 7 more days. I should look for a support group....oh wait, that's what the boards are for!

Did anyone notice that DCL now officially lists our cruise as having NO availability?

DD got her airplane reading yesterday. Still waiting for her to get her packing started or her room cleaned. Her excuse last night was, "But I still want to wear some of the stuff." My response was, "And the last time you wore the formals was the last cruise! I told you that I wanted them a week ago!" Mean momma.

DD got her airplane reading yesterday. Still waiting for her to get her packing started or her room cleaned. Her excuse last night was, "But I still want to wear some of the stuff." I think the "drop dead" date for adding PAX has now passed. Security concerns keep them fromm booking rooms this close to sailing. AThe airlines can easily add you to the "Full body search, open all your luggage and show us what you have" list by adding SSSS to your boarding pass. Unfortunately, the cruise industry doesn't have that luxury. It will be nice if there are some available cabins, some people want to upgrade at the port, and they might get to!

I'm not sure if that's the whole reason why you can't book this trip online. I just tried booking the 4 day leaving Sunday online and it still showed room, but our cruise does not.

I heard great news this afternoon. It looks like Hurricane Irene is going to stay out to sea so my company is not cancelling my vacation. I really do get to go on the cruise I and my family have been anxiously awaiting for a year now. We hope to meet many of you on board.

Yesterday DCL online was showing one cat 11 and one cat 9 open. Last night and today there is nothing, but the 4 day is still showing booking available. I suspect we are totally full!

Also, I have all your room numbers...Since we have a date, time and hopefully a place..I won't be calling you unless something has gone wrong. Potential problem is a meeting place. If you don't hear from me it is a go

Well BA flights have started again, and we're confirmed for our scheduled flight tomorrow morning. Just finished the packing and going to bed, to get up at 3am in order that we get to the airport in plenty of time to queue up (the queues are likely to be horrendous).

All being well we'll be in LA about this time tomorrow.

Most are pics that I have taken on my previous Magic cruises and ones that I thought represent Bringing the Magic Home!!! I know I always feel at home once back onboard!!
