I got word (thank you Ken!) that Rachel will be our cruise director and they over estimated the number of kids on the ship. Right now there is about 700 kids.

Hi all -

At the last minute DH & I were able to get on this cruise last week This will be our 3rd time on the Magic and we're really looking forward to the trip. We'll be easy to spot, as DH is in a wheelchair due to polio as a child.

Welcome, welcome, welcome Jane and Rocky. So happy the Magic found room for you. We have a friend in TX that had polio as a child as well. They live in Kilgore but frequent Houston a lot because of family.

OK, I'm impressed....you're already weighing suitcases. I'm still on the "collecting" phase. 3 suitcases on the bedroom floor with stuff in and on top--depending on which phase of the trip they belong in. Oh well.....I can't totallly pack till after Sunday morning. The church sandals will double as the cruise sandles/formal shoes.

I do have one plan--my carry on will be no where near 40 pounds. I will weigh the suitcases at home, but if I get to the airport and am a little over, I'll take a pair of shoes out of the suitcase and put it in the carry on! I'm concerned that my scale may not match Delta's.

Hey everyone traveling from the Central or Eastern time zone. Here's a tip for getting used to the time change quicker. We learned the hard way.

Regardless of what time you have to get up to fly to CA, stay up as late as you can the first day. Even if you are exhausted, stay up a little longer. The first time we went to CA, we we're so tired we went to bed at 8:00. Got up the next morning at 4:00 wide awake. The next day was the same thing, tired again early, but we forced ourself to stay awake.

This year, we stayed up the first night until midnight, even though we were up at the equivalent of 2:00 a.m. PDT! We slept in somewhat and felt great the next day! Until the next night when Donna just wanted to

Well almost done packing except for the last items that cant go in till the bitter end. Suitcases are going to be close for weight restrictions at 50lbs. So far the weighed ones are comming in at 44, 46.5, 38.5 and my moms at 61.5 OOPS! I still have one more to pack and weigh. Yikes how the heck are we going to fit all these in a minivan?????

Glad everyone is getting things wrapped up. Not long now 193hours for us!

I must say I am very impressed by all you guys that are mostly packed already....I still need to wear a lot of what I am bringing so I still have to wait until next week to finish all the laundry and then get packing!!!!

I guess I could go to work in my bathrobe...maybe they won't mind in the law office!!! LOL At least that way I could really get down to packing!!!

We have the cases packed but there are a few things still to go. Like two pairs of Capri pants for me that a girl friend is making. She works best under pressure, but...

I hope everything is finally done and set to go. Only today and three days more of work and I'm finished for three weeks! Yeah

I am laughing at the comment about weighing each suitcase. I weigh, remove, shift, repack, weigh...I only hope SW scales agree with mine.

I'm not joking, I was told I had to cancel my trip.

Last night Lindsay told me she can't wait to go on our trip but we have to cancel the trip. One of her friends is having a princess party. And apparently a princess party is much more important than going on the Mickey boat. I told her we don't even have an invitation to a party. She saids, but I'm still going so we can't go on the trip. Of course I then had to rush home and tell everyone in chat. So yes, we are still going on the trip, and no we do not have our docs yet.

I am however canceling the excursions I posted. Parasailing, banana boat, and See and Sea. So if anyone is interested in them I can give the details and let you know when I'm canceling them. Need to check with Howard once more and verify he's fine with canceling them.

I think she is just trying to get even with me for my lovely poem I sent her today. It took me a matter of minutes but the smile on her face was worth it I didn't think I would be able to find a word to rhyme with lower, but I did!! Now I have to work on my countdown mail for her for tomorrow!
