Well when I left work yesterday, my boss and I had a little chat! Had to make sure that he understood that those pink dots on the calendar were there because I was going for 3 weeks! Luckily I haven't put up any others so it looks like that is all i'm taking this year!

Also, did happen to mention that I will be going away at the same time next year! But for not as long!

He can't say I don't give him enough notice!

Dee, we changed our flights. We're leaving on Aer Lingus, now. 5:40 out of JFK, I think. Yes, it is sucking up a lot of my vacation $$. Oh well, less for the kids to inheirit.

I'm still not sure about excursions, except for Barcelona. I hope we get some good travel reports from the May group.

Anybody else doing Aer Lingus on the 17th?

Festa Mayor de Sants

The Festa Mayor de Sants takes place in the Montjuic district of Barcelona, with the 12 main streets putting on their own street parties and a host of activities.
During the fiesta, mornings and afternoons are dedicated soley to residents of the district, with individual streets organising their own entertainment, inlcuding concerts and sporting events. When night falls, the rest of the city is invited to take part in the celebrations, which include music, parades, and a baile de gigantes, or dance of the giants.


Feast of the Assumption in Gràcia
When: 15 - 21 Aug 2007 (annual)
Cost:Free
The whole Barcelona neighbourhood of Gràcia hits the streets on 15 August to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. The streets are filled with rainbow-coloured decorations and live music and street entertainment kick off the week-long Festa Major celebrations.

Since there is no wheelchair excursions I thought these might be fun and of course the required visit to Ramblas to see the living statues. asst. performers and shopping.

I am however worried about crowds since I am the pusher of said wheelchair. Hopefully we actually get to see some of it.

Well, since I'm breaking the bank on this trip! I decided to try to phone for Chef's Table for our Saturday Night Dinner for our return back to FLA! Then when I got up this morning, forgot!

I decided, I'll phone once I get into work! Well I guess we were meant to go! They had availability!

This will be the late Birthday gift to myself!
