Our connecting flight is schduled for 11:00am. I've been thinking about pushing it back to the next one. (I think that on is 3ish) Just because of the delays. I've noticed they have not been getting to Madrid until @12:30ish. I guess we'll have to see how things go.

Well, luckily the ship doesn't sail until Sunday. So we do have that cushion. There are some flights that leave madrid @4ish that would put us in Barcelona about 5:30. I figure we will get to the ship later than I would like, but we get there at least!

Dee, there are flights almost every hour from Madrid to Barcelona....and while I don't want to arrive late in the day at the ship, we do have the cushion of not leaving until Sunday.
If we were sailing on Saturday, I would have left the USA on Thursday night to arrive on Friday - I am NOT missing that ship!

Jennifer and Dee, after the New Year, I think I will start checking wth the airline regularly to see if they start to 'add back' the 2 flights (6:30 and 11pm)
I suspect that based on demand, they may only have one flight listed now but as that starts to fill up, they add the second, later flight.

I started tracking these 2 flights last May or June and all summer they had 2 flights every Friday - the early one seemed to sell out first. Demand to go to Spain is not as high in the off season, hence the one flight every Friday.

I am new to this thread. I am kap158(for those of you who know Reenieny I am her sister) I am usually on the Crusin" Castaway 8/19/06 thread. I just booked the 8/18/07 repo back to Florida the other day for myself only.

This is going to be an adventure for myself!!! I love anything Disney and I am looking forward to this trip. Can you please add me to your list of cruisers. I recognized some names as I was going down the list:

I was on the 8/19 cruise too I didn't post anywhere - since it was a surprise I was going.

We have a couple of other solo travelers on the cruise - Are you going to Paris first ? or straight to Barcelona ?

When you were on the 8/19 cruise did you notice any people in the lime green t-Shirts, leis and anything else lime green? Well that was the "Cruisin' Castaways". We originally were on the 8/04 "HURRICANE FRANCES " cruise to nowhere! We had an extra 3 days of cruising. We were the first to visit Costa Maya, Mexico and Galveston,TX with final desembarking in FT Lauderdale, FL. since Port Canaveral was closed due to the hurricane damage. The Disney Magic and Wonder were docked side by side. I am interested in NY in the t-shirts, magnets and anything else commemorating this "special cruise.

Can you add me to you list of cruisers? I am in a Cat 10.

It must be the Holiday time as it is very quiet here.

We just came back from the 11/11/06 Dbl Dip Cruise and while on board we played a game called DIStag. I do not know if anyone is familiar with this and would like to do it on this cruise. It was a lot of fun and I got to see more of the ship then I have ever done before, not to mention so excercise so I could work off those Venetian Dreams from Palo. We also got some neat stuff from around the world as people put items in that were from their area. The cost is only about 1-2.00 depending on what you do. Some folks probably spent more, but it is not necessary. Some items that were in the bags were tattos for pirate night, stickers, candy, post cards from their home state ot town, pencils, pens, glow sticks, Maple leaf pin, picture frame and pirate necklace. We all have limited weight and space with this being international so maybe we could limit it to post cards, pens pencil that are from our area.

Can you guys let me know what you think of this idea and if anyone is interested.

Just got the good word------upgraded to cat#3!!!! my prayers were answered! we will be in 8100 (handicap) but also on wait list for "regular" cat3. someone must have thrown some pixie dust my way!
