How does one go about transporting a case of water and a case of beer on board? Does it need to be packaged or just tagged with stateroom number?
Thanks in advance!

We normally just pack it in a soft sided cooler and bring it onboard as carry on, with no ice; you can get that when you take it to your room and then the host/hostess will get the ice for you ...... Andy

I packed mine in a medium sized carry-on with wheels......as I emptied the bag it was perfect for those "extras" we had to bring back.

We packed ours in a hard cooler with wheels as a carry on. We then used it to carry our dirty clothes on the way home.

We recently sailed and I too was concerned about the quality of the water onboard and I was surprised at just how good it was. It tastes like bottled water. If you do decide to bring some onboard, take a taste test yourself.

On this past cruise, I packed our soda and water in large plastic zip loc bags and then placed them in our soft sided cooler. I then put a luggage tag on it and checked it in with the rest of our luggage. The porter had no problems taking it and it arrived safely to our rooms. I did the zip loc bags just in case something got punctured so nobody's suitcases got wet!

I agree with the above poster. Bringing bottled water is honestly a waste of time. Bring an insulated sport bottle and refill it with the ice provided in your room and water right from the tap. It is NOT tap water per say.

All water on the ship is provided from sea water by a process called reverse osmosis. They do not pump any water onboard from land anywhere. This is the same process those high end undersink water filters use at home. It is extremely pure and not loaded with chemicals like your home tap water probably is. It is comparable to most bottled waters.

Actually that's not completely accurate. My DC, TinkerBellMom, took the galley tour on our 1/24 Eastern and they explained that all of the water was sea water treated by reverse osmosis EXCEPT for the drinking water. The water they serve at dinner, in the beverage bars etc. is loaded onto the ships in tanks.

I had 2 twelve packs of Coke in my luggage.

One of the cans broke and made a little mess in that bag......
