Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

I have been meaning to post these for a while but never got around to it. DH and I had a photoshoot at GF back in September and only paid $25 back then. I definitely enjoyed it but would not have paid $70 for it! We were happy with the pics, but part of the enjoyment was feeling like it was such a great deal! Anyway, here are a few of our favs:

Does anyone else have info on packages offered now with the higher price? I think we're going to book for our trip in may regardless, but would love to hear what they are offering now with the higher price. If they really do give you the CD with all your pictures, plus a few extra prints, the price doesn't seem too bad...

I would also like to hear about the new packages. We are going April and I was really looking forward to the photo shoot but the price has scared me off.

Can someone please tell me where to find AKL photos session pictures? I have looked all of this thread, but haven't seen any! Thanks so much!

How do I post photos??? We did a photoshoot back in September and I would love to show off some photos!!!!

We did a photo shoot for my DS's 3rd bday less than two weeks ago at the Wilderness Lodge. I had the $25 rate, which they did honor, but there was some drama. At first they gave me the $75 rate and I went to pay and I was like no it's not that much and I went back and they re-read the email and was like oh they have stopped doing that rate, so we got rid of our cards that had the upc code on it. But it was really no biggy. They went on with the shoot and then found the upc code from another location and all was fine.

The photographer was great and she took 110 pictures. However, there were a few pictures that were blurry, several that were too light (problem with the sun), a few where my son was looking away, one or two that were too dark and one or two with red-eye. But those types of pictures happen, that is why you take so many. However, these issues are what I expect when I take pictures of my son, not when a professional does it. All in all it was worth the $25, since we also got pictures of all 3 of us, which is hard to do. However, I don't think I would pay $75 and I know I wouldn't pay the full price of $150 or whatever it is. I know that I could have taken pictures very close to the quality of the pictures they took. That is why I wouldn't pay more.

But we did get some good pictures. Here are just a few.

In this one you can see some of the issues with the sun. This one looks good, but we have some pictures where my son looks really washed out. I have been able to fix them a little bit with photoshop, but I shouldn't have to do that to professional pictures.

And to compare, here is one I took myself last November at the Poly of my DS. I swirled part of his shirt where his name was.

Thanks *KeepMovingForward*. I think so too, but of course I'm a little bit prejudice.

I called last week to find out about our May trip. I have an email that states we get the $25 Grand Floridian session. They told me to bring the email along and they have to honor it. Anyone else done this lately?

Oh gosh, fingers crossed that they will honor it!!! We'll be booking one in May too.

I just booked mine for May 2nd at the Poly for 8:30am with our character breakfast at 9:15am at Ohana. I told the lady that I had already purchased the prepaid photopass CD and it states 25.00 on it. She told me they don't offer that price any longer so I had to explain that when I purchased it back in November there was nothing telling me it had a 30-60 day expiry(can't remember which one) and that it wouldn't be valid for my trip. They told me to hold on to my emails and to call them 2 weeks before my vacation and have it re-set so it will be valid. She said 'Oh bring your papers with the $25.00 offer on it and we will proceed from there"

I knew I should pre-ordered my photopass, then called to have it renewed

I would have loved to get our family pics taken in Disney, but for $75, without any actual prints, no thanks

It looks like some people are still getting the $25 offer? Is this correct? I got it last year after the price went up because it was listed on my email, however when ordering just now, I did not get the offer. Can anyone explain what the status is? I just dont have the time (does anyone) to read all 127 pages of this post ;)
thanks :goodvibes:
pink ;)

So has anyone heard anything else on the new options they are suppose to be offering?

The guy asked when I called if I knew what "package" I wanted to book - the shoot with the CD, the shoot with prints, I think that's all he said? I told him I preordered the CD (part of a share) and he said Oh, OK, and the bring the email.. etc. I guess there must be some package with a set number of prints you get. No idea how much that is. And I guess the "with the CD" one is the $200 one folks have referenced before I think.
