Too bad that other tall building obscures the view of certain Sydney landmarks.

I enjoy seeing all the air conditioning equipment on the top of buildings. I got to go on the top of a couple roofs to work with them as an intern, way back when.

What was worse it I was in a building retrofit and there were open windows. I stuck to the interior walls. It was unsettling feeling a breeze come from outside through a big hole in the wall.

Not that they are the cheapest fruit over here. But are they expensive there because a lot of cherries grown on your side of the sea go to Japan?

Cherries are just coming into season here. You can get them at about $10 per kilo (about $4.50 per lb). They won't get too much cheaper than that....maybe as low as $7 per kilo.

I don't know if they go to Japan....it's just having picked cherries at the weekend, it is rather labour intensive. You don't really want to damage the riser where the cherries spring from as that's going to impact next year's crop. So it's fairly gentle, easy as it goes, task.

Now I am! :rotfl: Ahhh I am so jealous! Cherries! Wow! Sometimes I really wish I lived in a warmer climate.

Happy to swap with you. Melbourne is also hot and humid today. It was 33 C, which is in the 90's...and humid.

MIL's in the morning, sister's in the aftrenoon, FIL's in the evening. It was a busy day. Someone got me sick again. With just 3 days before we are to leave for WDW, I am hoping it is nothing serious. Glad yours was nice as well.

Keep well and get better soon. Enjoy your trip.

From someone who doesn't have much family, treasure it while you can. We are spending Christmas (hopefully) with a friend in Las Vegas since all my family will be somewhere that's too cold from Fran to travel to.

As someone who has a lot of family, its a bitter sweet experience. Mum does Christmas Eve dinner at her place. We usually end up with 20 adults and about 10 kids. And that's just 'us' and first cousins. I love it; but really....by the end of the night, I've had it.

I agree with Alison. As someone with no extended family, those with family should cherish that. I understand wanting one year 'off' and the misaligning would be a good option. But as 'frustrating' as it might be...I wish ever so much that I had more than my parents and brother :sad1:

Hope you feel better soon

A year 'off' is always great! :thumbsup2

Just had a long lunch with workmates and am now home... (yes PIO...the posted time is correct :lmao: )
Now...
I need to sort things out

So hot and humid today. Hate this weather. Just want to lie flat as a a pancake with the AC on.....

Nice view from the top. Lunch must have been good if you went home so early.

Back home again.

It isn't December yet and I already feel so over this ho hum season. Why is it that everyone wants to catch up just before Christmas and New Year....and then go back to 'ignore' for the rest of the year???

Have you seen Kitty, Bobbi and Meriweather's post count????

:lmao:

Seriously, given my December schedule, I doubt I'd even break 100 if it weren't for the games board!

You're up late.

Owwwww
Back now aching as well as hip. :(
I guess it's lucky I didn't join the military precision early deployment to WDW. I'm hobbling around like an old woman just from rushing around the city and up and down stairs....
Of course it was reaching for something rather than walking round that triggered the back the join the party.....

It's a bit of a psychological thing the catch up. I guess they can at least say...last year...instead of two years ago...

Lunch was good actually. Managed to not be on the table with the big bosses. :lmao:
Lots of discussion and banter. I'd shut everything down and logged out of files so there was no need for me to go back so....no point me going back for two hours. We are still waiting for info etc to change things.

Owwww
