Can someone please tell me if tea is available at counter service places at breakfast, especially ASMo food court and BW bakery? If so, what brand is it? I usually drink Twinings English breakfast, and I can bring my own if hot water is available. Thanks

If you have a particular taste I would say bring your own. Its most likely Nestea plain old Orange pekoe in a bag. Which oddly enough sounds fancy but really isn't.

. . . Nestea plain old Orange pekoe in a bag . . .

1) Just a clarification.
2) Nestle is a brand (WDW uses Nestle black tea).
3) Orange Pekoe (aka, OP) is a leaf cut, not a taste.
4) Tea bags use the cut,
. . . then the "dust" or "fannings" (tiny bits and pieces) from the leaf cut
. . . a good, dependable quality tea
. . . used for teas from Sri Lanka or south India

I would bring your own, especially if you have particular one you prefer. I'm VERY particular about my tea, and bring my own. What I've found in the food court is just ugh to me.

BW should have a choice in a teabox. At least both BCV & SSR do and BW is in the same level of resort. They have a variety of Twinnings teas.

Tea is absolutely available at BW bakery. They definitely have Twinings English breakfast. Twinings sponsors the tea shop in the UK in Epcot so you can always pick up a box of tea bags there. I usually travel with some of my own tea bags because I don't love the tea options at Disney (I prefer to drink Red Rose).

If the tea bags aren't out by the hot water, ask at the register. They used to leave them out but I noticed that they don't do that any more.

Luckily you'll have a choice of Twinings almost eeeeeeverywhere in the world, it's where I fell in love with their English Breakfast, and it's all I drink now. I definitely bring my own for the room or a morning quick service, but most sit-downs had a huge box of Twinings to choose from (and usually let you take a few) :thumbsup2

I bring my own because I like a cup in the room before heading out for the day. But if you plan to do that, you'll want an immersion heater or access to a microwave. Do not plan on using the coffee maker for your hot water - blech!!

I bring my own tea bags, sugar, glass mug and spoon. And I use bottled water instead of the tap water in the room.

They do, however, serve Twinings products at Disney and if you haven't taken a look at the tea store in the UK at Epcot, you should. They have a great selection of Twinings products.

Thanks guys for the replies. If I bring my own tea will I be charged for the cup of hot water?

Yea didn't want to get into this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_pekoe#Grade_terminology

Until I saw the Goods Eats episode EA1D04 "True Brew II: Mr. Tea" I always wondered why it didn't taste orangie.

It takes great restraint to walk into the Twinings tea shop and not declare, "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot." in my best Captain Picard voice.

I would ask at whichever counter you are at. I would lean towards say no as you can get a cup of iced water for free but I've never asked for a hot cup of water.

I love tea and have no problem at WDW. They have Twinings as other have said. I had earl grey every morning when we stayed at FQ this past June/July. By all means bring your own or what I do most trips is to stop into the tea store at the UK in Epcot and buy some. I also had tea every night after dinner in the sit down restaurants we went to. Never had a problem finding something I liked. I hope you have a great trip!

Enjoy The Magic!!

I bring salada tea everywhere I go:rotfl2::rotfl2:I know what a geek!! Last year I did get free hot water at CSR every morning. Not sure if that is standard practice or not. Good luck and have a great time.:wizard:

I always bring my own so they way when they ask you if you want a refill you can say yes and use a fresh bag without having to pay for a second cup of tea. :)

As I recall the Value resorts only offer Nestea tea bags, and the moderate and deluxe resorts have Twinings. Last time we stayed a POR they only had Twinings English Breakfast Decaf bags out along with Nestea!!!!

It can be hit or miss with what is out and what is available at each resort. I also carry some of my own Twinings tea and use our refillable mug for hot water each morning.

May I also suggest that the Irish Breakfast tea is worth a try.

Dan

Time to get a cup of Price of Wales.

Pop Century had Twinings English Breakfast tea in the tea basket by the hot water/coffee dispensers.

Even if you bring your own tea bag, yes, you will have to pay for a cup - they do not give out free cups at food courts. People would just ask for an empty cup and then go fill it at the soda machine.

That is resort level specific info. Deluxe and DVC resorts don't operate like that.
