Breakfast On The Last Day?

The 2 times we have cruised we have had late seating so we have always gone to breakfast in the dining room on our final day. However we think we want to go with early dining on our next cruise and we arent sure we will want to make it to the dining room so early on that last morning.
So, Im wondering what exactly is served at the breakfast at the buffet. I know its not the usual daily buffet, but a limited selection...but how limited?

We went to Topsiders and got a plate of the donuts, some pastries, some fresh fruit, and brought it back to the stateroom as the kids were just waking up - then we ate, grabbed our stuff, and headed out. The first part of the buffet looked exactly like all other days, but I didn't go any further than the donuts so I don't know about the waffles and omlette stations...

There is no hot food at Topsiders on the last morning. Only fattening donuts, cereals, fruit, bagels, etc. Unless the hot coffee counts! Gotta have that coffee!!!!
We did Topsiders and no complaints!

Not sure which ship you're going to be on, and if they have different things for breakfast on the last morning...but we were on the Wonder 4-night cruise last month and at Beach Blanket buffet they DID have scrambled eggs and bacon, plus fruit, croissants, bagels, pastries, etc. I can't remember if they had sausage. We had "early seating" and didn't go to the restaurant the last morning, went to the buffet about 7:30 and were able to get off the ship right after.

Thanks for all the replies...but Im stillc onfused over the hot food. Maybe they have it sometimes and not others?

It looks like we are going to be on the Wonder 4 day, since all signs point to the Magic moving when we want to sail. :(

Both times I was on a 3-day cruise, they had limited hot food (scrambled eggs S& bacon). Normally, your choice of hot foods is more varied -- hash browns, biscuits & gravy, sausage, a special egg dish .... I was very surprised (and happy) to see the bacon and eggs the last morning! But I'm always happy to see bacon and eggs ....:hyper:

On our 4 day druise last June, they also had bacon and eggs, but that was about all for the hot food. - Mike

Thanks for all the info. It makes getting early seating a little easier knowing we can still have a decent breakfast the last day even if we skip the dining room.

What if you don't want to eat breakfast and just want to go directly to MK? What's the earliest you can get off the ship?

Are you taking 3, 4 or 7 day cruise? (I think there is even a difference between the eastern and Western cruises af far as what time they normally get into the port - but not sure). When we were on the 4 day cruise, we left around 8:30 AM from the ship but others were even in front of us. We are taking the Western cruise in May and hope to catch our flight by 11:15 with American. I think it will help us that we can check our bags and get our boarding passses at the port and then hope the DCL bus makes it to the airport in time. - Mike

IDK why but from our experience and what I have read the Magic doesn't serve anything hot on the last day but the Wonder does. That created a problem for us since there was nothing there my DS would eat. I ran down to the dining room where our servers were, since our entire table was up at Topsiders so I knew they would only have one, and they were very quick to get a covered plate of pancakes for the kids. We had chosen to go to Topsiders so that we would have more of a chance to visit with our friends that morning instead of being rushed out of the dining room.
