Hi! Just wondering what you bring to eat for Bkfst in a studio? We are tired of poptarts and granola bars! :confused3 Would love some ideas for a more healthy/hearty breakfast!:cool1: Thanks for sharing any tips/ideas!:rotfl:

Those little cereal boxes are convenient - the one serving size. Also, fruit salad is tasty. We also like the frozen breakfast sandwhiches with croisannt, sausage, egg and cheese.

There's also bagels. (last studio stay I was on the DDP and on the last day :confused3 I figured out the used to let you buy a sleve of bagles for a single snack credit)
With the toaster and mini frezer you might be able to fit a hot-pocket type breakfast sandwich or a few eggos..

Bagels, english muffins, cereal, waffles, fruit, instant oatmeal, yogurt popcorn::

I've picked up bagels at Panera Bread on the way to the airport....I made lots of friends at the airport, on the shuttle, at MCO, at the ME desk. They were delicious!

This time, I'm gonna try something else. I'm thinking the breakfast sandwiches, as someone posted above. I'm also thinking about ordering some fruit from Schwan's, maybe take a thing on OJ (their frozen). I'm also debating on making breakfast burritos, freezing them, and transporting them down. I've done this at hime b4, so I know they freeze well. DH takes them to work all the time....pops them in the microwave, and calls it a warm breakast.

We drink the Chocolate low carb drinks. We bring a case with us, we drive.

We've brought the pre-cooked bacon (crisp it in the microwave); EggBeaters (cook in a paper bowl); bagels & cream cheese; yogurt, fruit, and granola bars for yogurt parfaits; Parmalat milk and instant oatmeal; frozen egg, bacon & cheese sandwiches on English muffins; orange juice and coffee. You could easily include frozen waffles or pancakes that go in the toaster.

I pack everything perishable in a small cooler taped closed with duct tape. I freeze everything that freezes well (Egg Beaters, bacon, juice, ready-made breakfast sandwiches) and put in a few "blue" ice packs. It all comes through fine. If we can't check in when we arrive, Bell Services holds it for us. We have a delicious and relatively inexpensive breakfast every day.

I think breakfast is one of the easier meals in a studio....

Coffee, milk, juice to start...

Then you can:

--make scrambled eggs in the microwave,
--you can microwave bacon,
--you can get frozen pancakes and waffles for the toaster,
---you can make a from scratch bfast sandwich by toasting a bagel or English Muffin, cooking a scrambled egg in a greased bowl at 80 percent for 2 minutes. Sprinkle some cheese on top to melt, and put a little mayo on the bagel and you've got your own Egg McMuffin.
-- you can do microwave grits or other hot cereal

And that's not counting the usual cereal!

Lots of fruit, yogurt, cheese, cereal, toast, english muffins, bagels. We don't eat many eggs and rarely eat breakfast meat, so breakfast for us is no problem in a studio or any other hotel room.

On trips when I had a car, I had bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruit and tea for breakfast. On the trips when I didn't have a car and packed everything in my suitcase, I had McCann's Instant Oatmeal, a cup of applesauce or a 5.5 ounce can of V8, a piece of string cheese and tea for breakfast. I definitely ate better when I had to pack my food!

Great ideas! Breakfast is the only meal we consistently eat in our room and I was so fed up with South Beach bars by the time we left.

We have our groceries delivered by Wego shop so we usually have:

Frozen breakfast sandwiches (egg, cheese, ham/sausage on an english muffin or biscut), we microwave them.

Uncrustables PB&J sandwiches.

Bagles with cream cheese or butter

Fruit

Orange Juice and milk (Dh has chocolate milk)

Yogurt with granola bars crushed and sprinkled on top.

Oatmeal

Muffins

Frozen breakfast pizzas

We like to have a bigger breakfast in our room to hold us over till later in the day. It helps to keep us away from too many wonderful Disney snacks!!

No need for that. With the exception of decent fruit, the DVC grocery area has pretty much everything you need for breakfast. Granted, some of the prices are high, but others are reasonable, and it's definitely cheaper than eating out.

Thanks for all the great ideas! Is there a Walmart Super Center close by? Or can I buy most things at BCV???:rotfl:

Are you my wife? Seriously... you must be... except for the duct tape... used for something else.......

DH & I usually stay in studios. We bring our electric skillet with us. (We drive down.) We fix scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. We have also brought along muffins and cereal.
