DH and I ate breakfast this morning at Olivia's.
Just milk (me) and juice (DH) to drink. (Drank Starbuck's on the way over.
)
We started off sharing an appy -- Fresh Strawberries and Cream.
yummmmm.... And a larger portion than we expected. We did not even finish what we had. Very yummy. And what was unusual, and GOOD, was the dish had thinly sliced, fresh strawberries heaped on the bottom of the dish, then coated with a little brown sugar, and then lots of whipped cream topping.
Never thought of using brown sugar. And we both liked the brown sugar much better than regular sugar. Will have to do that at home from here on.
I just ordered Olivia's Breakfast - Two eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast (or biscuit), with bacon (from choices of sausage or ham).
The bacon was just the typical Disney thin/see through bacon.
The potatoes were good and different. Almost like a little cream/gravy added.
Had good flavor and not typical fried potatoes.
The reason why we chose Olivia's was so DH could order the Banana Bread French Toast. (Topped with Bahamian Banana Rum Butter Sauce and vanilla whipped cream.) This dish comes with a choice between bacon, sausage or ham.
DH was a little leery because when he thinks of banana bread, he thinks of a heavy, dense bread.
However, he said it was really light and fluffy.
He really liked it.
Although he did say it his breakfast was too sweet, between the orange juice, french toast and strawberries/cream.
Overall, another thumbs up meal report from Olivia's. We have been always very happy with food and service there. Olivia's has turned out to be a nice little gem for us. We have not needed ADRs (so far) when dining there.
