Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

YM hopefully your DS won't have too many problems playing football. Does he wear a brace when it's bothering him?

We didn't make it fishing much to Maddie's disappointment. When we finished putting up the support poles on the porch we were going to quickly change the seal around the garage door. Well as you know a small project always turns into a disaster especially with this house. :sad2: As we started tearing trim off we discovered when they put in the siding they did not seal a piece that should have been so water was seeping in behind the siding. The wood was all wet, moldy and rotten, not to mention infested with these springtail bugs. :headache: So to make a looooooong story short we ended up tearing up the front of the garage which is still all tore up and we didn't make it fishing.:guilty: Poor DH didn't have a great father's day.:sad2: I'm not aloud to go in search of home projects ever again because they always involve way more time and money and are never easy fixes.:rolleyes1

Oh and to top off all that we got notice last week that we are being dropped from our homeowners ins. Get this....we asked too many questions about what was in our coverage, not because of too many claims. Our ins. agent is trying to get it reinstated, but we are not hopeful. He said the underwriters have just started doing this and dropping people even if they never had claims just questions on their coverage because they claim if you have a question about coverage you are more likely to file a claim. :confused3 So now we are black listed on the report that insurance companies look at and not sure what we are going to do. We have till the end of July to figure something out.

Well better run! I have a ton of laundry to catch up on.:laundy: Have a Marvelous Monday!

Good morning, all!

YM:: I'll keep my fingers crossed that your Ds's knee is A-OK for football.
Our weekend games were pretty bad....lost all three of them.:guilty: Nathan did learn to appreciate his team a whole lot more.:rolleyes1

Lesa:: OMG!! I can't believe you are being dropped for asking too many questions!! Heaven forbid that you ever file a claim!!
Sorry to hear that your project turned into so much work.:flower3:

Gary's regular doctor changed his meds. The dr. did admit that some people just can tolerate the med he was taking. I did notice his blood sugar was up a little this morning, but hopefully things will get better for him. He is keeping the appt. with the endocrinoligist on 7/2, however.

We were discussing our dining plans for Disneyland; or lack of them actually. We enjoyed Chef Mickey's and I told the guys we might like to go to Goofy's Kitchen, but decided to save my money for the next time we go to WDW. I'M GOING TO EAT IN THE CASTLE!!!princess:
So.....let's have breakfast in the castle this morning.

I hope you all have a Totally Royal Tuesday!!

30 days!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Pozey:: HAPPY FATHER"S DAY!!
Are you and the kiddos going to spend Sunday touring St. Louis, or did you head home?

Thank you Donna!!

I am disappointed I wasn't able to meet up with anyone during my short stay in St. Louis.

We didn't do much touring in St. Louis this past weekend. But we did have time the previous weekend when I took them to meet their mom.

We went up in the Arch, did some sightseeing, went to Union Station and had dinner at the Hard Rock. And we spent 2 1/2 hours at City Museum. That place is incredible. We could have stayed there 10 hours!

DS's knee is holding up ok. The Dr basically left it where he could play football but he let us know that the conservative Dr's said no and the pro sport Dr's said yes. We are going to let him play but have cautioned him that he may have to stop if the knee bothers him. It's frustrating.:headache:

I hope his knee holds up through the season!! What position is he playing?

Good morning, everyone!!

Still not a lot happening here.
I think Nathan may have swimmer's ear; yesterday he complained of feeling dizzy and his head feeling heavy. I put a couple of drops of rubbing alcohol in each ear. If he is still having problems this morning, will probably take him to the dr. later today.

Gary is doing fantastic with his new meds. He says he hasn't felt this good in three months. I'm crossing my fingers that this continues!!
I think he is actually getting excited for our Disneyland trip and was a little concerned (as was I) that we were going to have to cancel.

Thank you Donna!!

Sounds like you had a good time in St. Louis. Isn't the City Museum awesome!! Nathan tood his 3rd grade field trip there...nobody wanted to leave. We have been intending to make it back so that Gary could see it, but haven't just yet.

Linda:: Would love to see a pic of the new hair cut. I'm sure it looks great on you!!

A great big "HI" to everyone!!!

I think it's time for a little Tonga Toast!! Let's go to Kona and grab our table!!

Konab3.jpg

I hope you all have a Thoroughly Awesome Thursday!!:donald::mickeyjum:goofy:

Hey Pozey....thanks so do I. This is one of those times I wish I had a crystal ball to make sure we are making the right decision. :confused3 How did the boys do at their swim meet?

Hi Lesa...rats...sorry you didn't make it fishing. Are the bugs any better after getting all that rotted wood replaced? Thanks, DS doesn't have any brace or support for his knee. It's an area of bone that is burised and not wanting to heal and the Dr said a brace wouldn't help.

Donna...thanks for the tonga toast...I'm stuffed.;) That is very good news about Gary's new medicine! Good that he is keeping the appt with the specialist. I sure hope Nathan's ear feels better. Keep us posted. :flower3:

This week is flying by as usual...hope everyone is staying cool.:beach:

hey kids---

I am at work right now and am being no-showed for a facial. Anyone care to partake?? I'll even throw in peel or a brow wax.;)
It's hard because I have been busting my booty trying to make goals this month in order to level-jump (spa business lingo:goodvibes). I think I have everything, so I'm not too worried. My meeting is next week, so I'll see if I did it, but according to my tracking and numbers, I've got it.:cheer2:

It's been a rough week-----Monday night I was in a car accident. Donna----not the summer for white Mazdas.:headache:
I was at a stop light--about five cars back and a white SUV decided he (she) was not going to stop and plowed into me. I saw it coming so I braced myself and am paying for it this week --especially in my hands and forearms because I must have had a death grip on the steering wheel. He (she) then took off with my back bumper as a hood ornament. They sped up a one way street with only one witness who was doing yard work who saw the type of car but not the license plate number. So, they got away.:sad2: City police didn't come until 45 minutes later (I called 911 twice--the second time them telling me that they were really busy right now. Umm----okay??????:scared1:)
When everything was said and done I tried to "joke" with the cop saying that I didn't know whether I should go after the person-----his response-----ya ready for this one??-------"That wouldn't have been a half bad idea-----depends on your personality".:sad2::eek::sad2::eek::sad2::eek::sad2::eek::sad2::eek:

REALLY???????---great advice, huh??

anyway----it is what it is (my new motto in life;))
I'm lucky I wasn't hurt worse and my car is being fixed (insurance co. has been great so far)

Donna---I'm so glad Gary is feeling better with his new meds.
How are you doing in this heat??

Lesa--cancelled for questions?? I've never heard of such a thing. I have a client who is an agent----I'm going to ask her the next time I see her. Good luck getting it straightened out.

Pozey--sounds like you got to see alot in St. Louis. I'm sorry a meet didn't happen----the summer has been so busy with my friend's wedding and it being father's day with family in town----just crazy.
I've never been to the City Museum----I hear all of the time how awesome it is.

YM---hey.
did you finish 15 yet?? Did Lula and Carl get back together??:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I should go do some paperwork-----as Donna would say TGIF!!!!!!

hAVE A GOOD fRIDAY ALL!!!!---------------(what kind of typing is that????)

2x I can't believe that cops told you it wouldn't have been a bad idea to go after the person! :scared1: If they are crazy enough to take off after an accident they are crazy enough to do who knows what for following them. I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt! I agree "Life is what it is"! It seems lately that when we settle one major mess another one happens. I no sooner got the window mess settled now I'm on to the insurance.:headache: I always learn a new lesson, with the insurance I learned never to call and ask questions on our coverage. Only call if the house burned down or gets washed away in a flood! But then we'd probably be right where we are now anyway.;) I have to keep telling myself I have to look for the good things that have happened because the crappy things keep coming our way....I'm looking under every rock now as we speak!:lmao::rotfl2: I suspect we are owed some seriously good luck....hopefully soon!!! Maybe we should play the lottery!

We got the garage almost finished. The heat has made it a little difficult as we have a blacktop driveway and the heat just radiates off of it. I did most of the caulking last night. It looks like crap as the heat and humidity made the caulk tacky and hard to work with but at least the water won't get through.

Well that boy hasn't contacted Britt again....but he has been texting her "friend". I'm not sure if he is trying to get to Britt because she won't answer his texts or if he has now moved onto the friend, but I am still keeping a close eye on her. I also don't totally trust her "friend" as she has serious issues of her own. She is the one that said she wished she had what Britt had. She hates that she has to let me know everywhere she is and even when she leaves her friends house for a walk, but I still don't trust him to totally stay away from her.

Good morning, everyone!!:sunny:

Yep, it's sunny and hot, but today is supposed to be a little cooler, just in the high 80's. I think my car registered 97 yesterday!!:scared1::scared::faint:

2x2s:: That's poopy that you had a client that didn't show.
Yikes!! Sorry to hear you wer rear-ended and they got away with your bumper, too!! Maybe our white Mazdas have had their share of scrapes now and that will be the end. I know I'm really paranoid about backing our of a parking space now.
Oh, no!! I can't believe the cop told you to go after the person!! Were you packing your weapon that day??:cool2:
Did you get any of the high winds they were predicting last night? We were worried about it hitting here, but guess it stayed north of us.

Lesa:: Did you play the lottery yesterday? If you did, I hope you won big, you deserve it!!:woohoo::woohoo:
Good for you for keeping a close eye on Britt.:thumbsup2

YourMajesty:: Hey, time does fly by; even if it's hot and humid.
Nathan's ear is just fine as far as I know. I'm not too sure he just wasn't wanting to go to ball practice on Wednesday.:rolleyes1mOh well, he got a dose of rubbing alcohol in his ear as a preventative measure.
I'm not so sure that Gary is going to keep the appt. with the specialist. I just wish he would for a little extra knowledge, plus there are so many issues and complications with diabetes.

This past week at work was pretty rough, but hopefully this week will be just a little cooler and less humid.

How about a little breakfast buffet this morning?

Breakfast-Buffet_3.gif

I hope you all have a Sunny and Glorious Sunday!!:flower3:

Well I thought I had something to say, but I guess I don't! :lmao: I typed it all out and it went poof! :confused3

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's a beautiful day here, just a little windy. We were going to take Maddie fishing but I think it's a tad too windy. Poor thing got a fishing pole for her birthday back in Sept. and has not been able to use it yet. I think Britt is heading to the beach with some friends on a boy hunt.

Donna...nope! didn't play the lottery. I figure I'll keep my dollar because I'd probably lose anyway!;) I hope Gary decides to keep his appointment to the specialist. Why is it men never like to go to the Drs?

Have a great rest of the weekend all!:flower3:

Hello all!

Oh my gosh 2x2! I hope you are feeling ok! I can't believe that cop, that is absurd.

YM...your poor son. Does he have to wear a brace to play? Matt wore one his freshman year. During practice he had a partial ACL tear. Had to sit out for a while ( way too long in his opinion ) then wear the brace. He was told to wear it all yearm for basketball and baseball but point blank refused!! Said it was so uncomfortable. It never seemed to stay in place. After every play I would see him trying to adjust it. Hopefully your son will do great.

Donna...thank you for the lovely breakfasts! I hope Gary keeps his appointment. It can't hurt and he may learn something. How is Nathan's summer going? Is he playing basketball all summer? Are you getting excited about your trip? Just over 3 weeks now:cool1::thumbsup2 I can't wait to go to WDW:woohoo:

Lesa...you poor things have nothing but trouble with your house. Sounds like Britt is really growing up. Did she catch any boys yesterday? It's going to be wierd being in Disney without you guys.

I am going to have a garage sale this week.:scared1: I hate them but I have way to much cr...stuff in this house and we can use the money in Disney. I just can't seem to get organized. Lesa, want to come help me:idea: You were the queen of garage sales!!

Matt has been keeping busy, playing football and basketball. Last week he worked at a basketball camp at the high school. Nick worked a lot at the auditorium at the high school. A lot of the dance studios in the area rent it out for their recitals. Nick was mainly backstage helping with the props, doing the curtain, etc. He had a ball esp. when it was some of the older girls. He got some phone numbers:thumbsup2 Last week they had their year end party and the woman in charge told him some of the girls were saying that the boy backstage was really hot! He is a little full of himself right now:laughing: Bree has been working at Victoria Secret. She isn't getting as many hours as she wants and needs but she will have to wait until we come home to try and get another job. They don't want to hire you when you are going out of town for 2 weeks! She has been busy with our Lilly. Zach has been gone since May 19th. Lilly goes to his parents a couple of times a week and sleeps there Sunday nights. Sunday evening is when Zach is allowed to call. If you ask her where Daddy is she puts her arms up like she is making muscles and says "Daddy's in the army" His mom is trying to teach her to salute:)

I can't wait to take her to DW. DznyFan...is there some way to find out where E is working? I would LOVE to have a pic of the 2 of them!!!

OK I have put off working on this sale too long...

Have a great day!!

Hello and good morning!:sunny:

I had a long post all ready and lost it. I should have learned by now to NEVER hit the refresh button.:scared:

I think it's time for some French toast this mornig. Care to join me?

My advice to you......if your buyer looks like Mr. Depp....STAY!!!!:teeth:

Michele:: It sounds like Nick was a pretty popular guy over the weekend!! WAT TO GO, NICK!!!
Yes, Nathan is playing ball most of the summer. The Nationals actually end on July 21st. I think what is really getting to him are the 3-day-in-a-row practices. He had a really good practice and made a three pointer yesterday; hopefully that will boost his confidence.:thumbsup2
Lilly is going to have such a great time at WDW this year! I can't wait to see pics of all the smiling faces.princess:pirate:

OK, guys, I'm getting pretty nervous about our Disneyland trip. When I bookd through Getawaytoday Vacations, I thought having a kitchen for us would be the top priority. Well, I went into Google/maps last night and scanned the street area of our hotel. It is a ways down on Harbor Blvd and I'm not really inpressed. At the time I could have booked Paradise Pier(Disney) at about the same price, now there arent't any rooms available at a Disney hotel for our time frame. I did opt for the trip insurance and could cancel completely and book through Disney. (They DO have rooms.) Unfortunately, Paradise Pier doesn't have any standard rooms left and it is cheaper to book the Disneyland hotel, but still would be about $800 more than I am paying now. I keep telling myself that we probably won't be in our room that much, but am used to the flexibiliy of Nathan and I taking off by ourselves if Gary gets tired.
I think I've put myself in a fine pickle now.:rolleyes1 I guess I should quit worrying, but that just isn't my nature.:sad2:

Please forgive the long vent; I just needed to get that off my mind.
Oh, yeah, my clothes dryer died last night, too. I don't need this right now!!

Meet me at the Grand Floridian Cafe this morning.....I'll race you!!
