Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Linda she and her roommate can go to housing and put in a request to move, and pay a fee. I believe they are going to go talk to the people they need to talk to.
I thought it was a little funny when on the move in day all the apartment mates were all about NOT labeling each person's food... I thought that's a recipe for disaster because if you've got one person who bought say ice cream, or cereal, (or soda) for themselves and then all of a sudden what they bought themselves has mysteriously disappeared - not to mention who knows what all the new houseguests are doing when they're over (rummaging through the fridge?) I've seen that crap too many times at work! I want some ice cream, but I don't have any! Ooooh! But there's a pint of mint chocolate chip in the freezer! Awesome!
She was SO ticked off that she's 'reposessing' her coffee maker (she brought the coffee maker and the coffee) because she can't drink it in the mornings and she's tired of the crap. She says "A and I are putting the coffee maker in our room! We can't drink it anyway!"

Hi, everyone!!:wave2:

It's just dropped about 15 degrees outside in the last half hour. I think the cold front is coming through. YEECH!! I was planning on grilling out some steaks tonight, now it has to rain!!:headache:

Linda:: Yes, Nathan is getting pretty tall. 2x2s mistook him for a player about a head shorter than he is.
Did you get to see Mall Cop? We have it reserved through Netflix, but may take a while to get it.

DznyFan:: It's a shame that E got stuck with some inconsiderate roommates!! I would be steaming if my Diet Pepsi was gone when I wanted one, not to mention the late night partying!!:scared:
That is great that E gets to be Jasmine!!:woohoo: Call me a dummy, but who is Carl? I'm probably going to get my DisLicense revoked for asking that question.

2x2s:: I hope your mom is doing well after her foot surgery.
Did you get any of the monsoon that Gary got in Chesterfield?
I almost cried; I had a minor fender bender in the WalMart parking lot this afternoon. I've only had my car for 2 months!!:scared: I must admit that mine looked better than hers. ooops...:rolleyes1

Talk to you all later and have a great rest of the day!!

Dznyfan...I don't blame her a bit, I'd "reposses" it too, esp. if she can't use it! That is so sad they have to be like that, I would never touch someone elses stuff w/o asking first. We had a guy at work that would leave cases of Mt. Dew in the fridge... my co-worker would help himself to it all the time, the guy said we could, but even STILL...I didn't buy it, I'm not touching it:sad2:
we'll send her some pixy dust they can move...and w/o fee. that is crazy, make you pay b/c your roommates are thieves, geesh!!
lots of luck to her!!:hug::cheer2:

oh Donna!! I'm so sorry about your little accident:scared::guilty: heck, I bought my car in Oct. and I'm still anal about avoiding any scratches or dings! 2 months ago? what did you get? Sorry, I don't remember...:guilty: I'm sure Toyota, was it a Highlander? Anyway, I'm so sorry about the accident!!
And the steaks...I love steak on the grill!

that is too funny...he sure has grown!! That is like Kenny, when it started getting warm out,the neighbor across the street asked his wife who was in our yard b/c he was too tall to be Kenny:rotfl:of coarse...it was Kenny!
Yeah, we watched it last night. It wasn't too bad. Good, not great. If I'd seen it in the theater, I wouldn't have bought the dvd ;)... plus just after seeing UP..and it was so great.. well, you'll have that!

Carl is the grouchy old man in Up:lmao:the "Public Menace"...reminds me of Mike:rotfl2:I should buy that t-shirt for Mike...they have cute "up" merchandise on disneyshopping.com not that I visit that site often or anything:rolleyes1:laughing: I'm going to have to buy Kenny that talking Dug:rotfl:

2x..I sure hope all is well w/your mom!!:cheer2:

I hope everyone has a great evening!

I think the NET test went pretty well this morning YAY...now to start my English final in the morning:headache: not so "yay"

Good morning crew:banana::cool1: I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!! I'm so glad I have the net test behind me:woohoo: it wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be, but the truth will be in the results:rolleyes1:laughing: I should get them in a few weeks:scared: Thankfully, you can take it as many times as you'd like to improve your score (to move higher on the list to get into clinicals ;) )...

Lesa, I thought of Britt this morning...I thought..."I look good today, I HAVE to go to school":lmao::rotfl2: I hope all is well

This morning is the start of the English final.:headache: writing about celebrities, heroes, and the media:woohoo:this should be interesting!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Come and eat when you get a chance!!!

Hi Linda...thanks for the beautiful breakfast! I hope all goes well with your test results. Did it cool off any in Ohio? We had very cool weather today. Good luck with you English final. You sound so busy.

Hmmmm Donna...Nathan is so close to my height I would call it even. I round up to 5'2".:rolleyes1 Sorry about your new car...what kind of car did you get? I hate parking lots...I'm surprised I only have two dents in my fender.:rolleyes1

Hi Lesa...is everything Ok with Brit? I hope her tumbling is still improving...falling on her head sounds painful and not good for the neck.:scared1:

DznyFan...goodness, that is a late curfew when they expect some students to be at work at 6am...poor E! I was just telling DH about her and princess Jasmine! I'm glad that she is having a blast...I hope the roommate situation improves. Are you allowed to post pictures?:)

Hey 2xs sounds like next year you will be ready for March Madness!:lmao: How is your mom doing...hope everything went well.:flower3:

It's summer break here and we are having fun. DS is still having knee problems...I'll find out more later this week. Hope everyone is doing well!:)

Good morning!!

Linda:: Thanks for the wonderful breakfast! It looks like heaven.:cloud9:
I hope your English final went well.:teacher:
Ok, now I know who Carl is!! Can't wait to see the movie!!

YourMajesty:: I hope you get a positive report on your DS's knee.
It turned off pretty chilly here yesterday. I think it was about 63 degrees and almost 90 the day before.:scared:

I bought a new Mazda5 a couple of months ago. We actually traded in Gary's truck and kept the Highlander.
It looks like this one...

5971_cc0640_001_34K.jpg

I actually used my knee to pop the side fender panel back in place and rubbed off the silver paint from the other car. My car actually has just one tiny nick on the bumper. I think I'm just going to get some touch-up paint from the dealer and call it fixed. The other car looked much worse.:confused3

Nathan's last day of school was yesterday and he got all A's!! We're so proud of him.

I thought I posted breakfast yesterday morning. I was eating fresh strawberries, so that is what I picked. I guess I forgot to actually hit the Submit button.:upsidedow
So....here are your fresh strawberries.

I hope you all have a Thrilling Thursday!!:flower3:

good morning, and thanks for breakfast, Donna!

Congratulations to Nathan on straight A's! That is awesome!

YM - sorry to hear about the continuing knee problems. Are the boys glad school is over? Any big plans for the summer? I can post photos, and I will - I have a few that were taken by friends. There is no photography allowed back stage and of course we haven't seen her on set yet. I'll have lots of pictures after July!

louis3.jpg

We went and saw UP last night - oh my gosh, what a great movie! Loved the story, loved the characters, and even my dog is in that movie! E said that Dug is Moose, and yes - most definitely!

TGIF!!!:banana::banana:

Happy Friday, all!!

DznyFan:: I love the pic of Louie/E!! She looks so happy!!:goodvibes
I take it you are making another trip in July? Can't wait to see more pictures!!

We are heading to Decatur, Il this weekend for another tournament. I noticed the first game the boys play is with the team that beat us in Springfield. ( The one with their own Refs.) I hope we beat them, but I have to admit they were a pretty good team.

Had better get to moving; still need to bring up a suitcase from the basement.

I hope you all have a super weekend!!:dance3::dance3:

I've set up a little continental breakfast this morning. You all can come have a bite when you get the chance.:goodvibes

I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday!!:cloud9:

hey all!!!

Happy Saturday!!

I am at my mom and dad's this weekend and baking all day. I have a going-away party tomorrow night for a girl I work with and I was asked to bring desserts and since my kitchen is off-limits for showing, I am borrowing my mom's.:rolleyes1 I am making chocolate truffles, baklava (the host is making Greek-style appetizers) and lemon and strawberry creme puffs. (I made up the filling:rolleyes1, so I hope they turn out----I did a trial run the other night and it was pretty good).

anyway, thank you for all who asked about my mom. She did fine with the surgery, but evidetally it is pretty painful (more than her hip replacements, she said:scared:), but of course she is pushing it and doesn't show her pain. I have been running back and forth between my house and hers and took her to work Thursday and today, so I've seen alot of St. Louis lately.;)

Linda---I forgot to congratulate you and your mom on her recent marriage. That is wonderful!!!! Kenny looked adorable, as usual. I also meant to tell you that my nephew (3 1/2) was intrigued by Kenny's pics of his baking and soccer playing. He was sitting next to me when I was reading while in Florida. He really wanted to know who that little boy was. He thought it looked like him.:rotfl2:

YM---have you seen a new book from Janet Ev.?? I picked it up at Target and read it already. It is called -----trying to remember-----shoot, can't remember. Anyway, it is evidentally one of her first, before Plum and she writes a forward explaining that these were some of her first writings-----light hearted little romances. This first one was re-released and is at Target. I'll have to remember what the name is. It is funny to see her style coming out in it---calling people "pips", etc.:lmao:
Hope DS is doing okay. Let me know.
I had a blonde moment with March Madness---then ding, ding, ding---I got it. haha

Donna---omg, I am so sorry you had a fender bender in your new car!!! Isn't that always the way it goes.:headache:
congrats to Nathan on his A's!!!!! smart and talented!!
I meant to tell you that I thought Gary looked great!!! I'm sorry he is having trouble with his meds, though.
Good luck to Nathan and his games------be hard on those refs.:rolleyes1

DznyFan---how cool that E. is a true Disney character!!!! I would LOVE to see her!!!! (but, darn, no trips planned)----how long will she be in the program?? and she'll be a Princess?? please keep us posted with pics!!!

Lesa---hope everything is okay with Britt. How's Maddie doing??

Hi Michele, Pozey and Maureen!!!!

I forgot to say that I also saw "UP" last weekend. I loved it!!! It definitely had it's sad moments and I've been reading alot of negative reviews because of the issues it deals with, but I thought it was so touching!!! I loved Dug and Dog!!!! ("I hid under your porch because I love you")---makes me want to get a dog so badly.

No luck on the house yet-----send the DUST and cross those fingers and toes.:3dglasses

gotta get back to my baking.:dance3:

Thought I'd stop by and say hello on this cold and rainy June day. I'd really like to see some warm weather for more than 2 days.

2x sorry to hear about your house not selling yet. I know it's got to be frustrating having to try to keep it show ready at a moments notice. My neighbor has had their house up for sale for several months now. She has 3 boys under the age of 8. I hear lots of yelling from their house before they have a showing. :scared: :lmao: My fingers, toes, and eyes are crossed that you'll get an offer soon! I'm glad you mom came through the surgery ok. Sorry she is still in such pain.

Dznyfan that is so awesome that E is a princess. That really stinks about her roommates. When I worked at Cedar Point so many moons ago...I lived in their housing that was basically apartments. There were 4 rooms and 3-4 people per room. It was the same situation, if you wanted didn't want someone to take something of yours you had to keep it in a locked box in your room. I also had my own small fridge next to my bed to keep my food in.

Britt is done with school, her last exam was Thursday. She went yesterday up to Wisconsin with her girlfriend for her dance competition. Her friend does Irish dancing.

Maddie still has till Tuesday. :headache: I really wish they would change the way they do the snow days. They add them to the end of the year, but those extra days are always find something to do days. Yesterday it was a day at the park, the day before that it was board game day. Monday I guess is all day recess, then Tuesday they go for 1 hour. :sad2:

Britt is doing OK. Our crisis with her was with a boy. I do believe I mentioned a few weeks back about her wanting to go to the movies with a boy. Well on the Friday of Memorial Weekend she went to the battle of the bands at school with her friends and he was there. He asked Britt to "go" with him. The next day I got a funny feeling with how she was acting so I started reading her texts. To make a very long story short....they started with one of her friends telling her that he had been busted and almost locked up for bringing drugs to school. Then there were some from him telling her he loved her and she was his everything. :scared1: I didn’t want her to know I read the texts so I started the twenty questions, and she finally told me everything. We made her break up with him, in fact we were prepared to call the school to make sure he stayed far away from her and if needed, we would have gotten a restraining order. Thank goodness she has continued to be open and honest with me. She had friends telling her to go behind our backs and go out with him that we would never know, and how could she break up with him as they would kill to have what she had. She told them no, she wouldn't lie to us. Thank goodeness her other friends have been pretty proctective of her and try to keep her far away from him. She has continued to tell me of any texts he has sent, thank goodness he finally told her he needed to get her out of his head, and hasn't text her since. I am thankful that I read her texts and got her to open up to me because I do not think she would have come to me other wise. He was very obsessive, and I just got the feeling if it was able to go on any longer it would have turned into controlling.:sad2: She did have few weak moments where she told me she was going to go out with him anyway which turned me into a raging lunatic. So fingers crossed that we are totally done with this! Thank goodness this was at the end of the school year. I think it would become more of an issue if she continued to see him at school.:sad2:

Hi Donna...thanks for the breakfast! We are still waiting on the Dr to see which direction to go with the knee. The injury is still there as I knew by the fact that it still hurts. Sorry to hear about your new Mazda5 but it sounds like you should be in the body shop business!:rotfl: That's a neat looking car...are you pleased with it? Congrats to Nathan for his straight A's...we pay out the big bucks for a perfect year of A's!:woohoo: Good luck at the tournament...don't get too crazy...we don't want any fights.

Hey DznyFan... DS is pretty bummed about the knee...I sort of prepared him by telling him if it still hurt it may not be well. We really don't have many plans for the summer. Yep, the boys are loving the summer break. We may do a little camping? I think we are looking at a Disney trip in November...will E still be there? Great picture...when was that taken? Also, can you say which show she will be in? I'm excited for pictures...take lots of them! Any improvements with the roommates? Glad you enjoyed UP...I really want to see that soon. I'll be watching for Moose.;)

Hi 2x2s...your desserts sound great. I would have been happy to taste them for you.;) Glad you hear you mom did well. Wow, I know she is tough...sorry that it has been so painful for her. :flower3: I haven't read any of Janet's re-released romance novels but my sister gave me a couple to read! I am reading a romance novel (which I rarely read) but it is by Johanna Lindsey. It's pretty good. I'm looking forward to Finger Lickn' Fifteen later this month!:woohoo: I'll keep you posted on DS. Hmmm...there thought you had become an avid basketball fan...humph!;) Here is a little pixie dust for you on the house!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Hi Lesa...hope you get your warm weather soon.:sunny: I guess Maddie is getting excited for the end of school. That schedule didn't sound to rigorous.:rolleyes1 Goodness...that is a frightening story about Britt. I'm glad she is confiding and following the rules. I'm glad it's summer too...hopefully that boy will a distant memory before school starts.:scared1:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good morning ladies.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone.

Hope a wonderful weekend was had by all. We had a pretty good weekend around the pozey household. We went to see Night at the Museum 2 on IMAX Saturday. It was pretty good. Pretty much just like the first.

Yesterday we spent all day in the pool. I made homemade Fettuccine Alfredo for dinner.

Colton spent all last week at swim camp down at the University of Texas. Funny story...I received a text from him as he was sitting in the airport waiting on his flight. He said "I have some news for you, but can't tell you now. I have to wait to tell you in person."

hmmm....so that had me wondering the entire time. Actually, I think I knew, but wasn't 100% certain.

So, when he got back, I asked what his news was. He said it is his goal to now attend the University of Texas for college. And for a graduate of University of Oklahoma, that's a tough pill to swallow. :-) Actually, it's not. UT is THE premier college swim team in the US, and I want what is best for all my children. If that's where he wants to go, then I will do whatever I can to help him get what he wants.

His swim team started swimming twice a day everyday this morning. They swim from 6:00 - 8:30 in the mornings and then 3:30 - 6:00 in the afternoon. Which means I drop him off at 6:00 and am at work by 6:15. UGH!

just had to pop in and say hello and hope all is well.

LOTS of pixy dust that your house sells soon my dear 2x:hug:

I'll have to check in more later...now its back to the books, sorry...its finals week and I have had my nose in the books constantly! Thank goodness I'll have a break before my STNA class starts June 30!!

Have a wonderful week!! I'll check in and catch up soon:hug::grouphug:

Good evening, everyone!!

I hope you are all doing well; I know it's a busy time of year.

2x2s:: I'm still sending the pixie dust and sending some special house-selling good wishes for your house!! You NEED to get in that new villa, girl!!:woohoo:
I hope your mom is taking it easy and not pushing herself too much. Tell her I said to behave!!:teeth:
How did the desserst turn out? I'm sure they were delicious!!

Lesa:: I certainly hope that Britt is totally finished with that boy you described!! There is something to be said for turning into a raging lunatic at times!!
Is Maddie out of school now and enjoying her summer?:yay:

YourMajesty:: Oh my, I can't believe that Janet's #15 will be out soon!! I never have finished my reading, I guess my body is telling me to just rest my eyes on the couch instead.:rolleyes1:cloud9:
Crossing my fingers that your Ds's knee gets to feeling better soon!
Yes, I'm happy with the Mazda5, it has the third row seat option for some extra passengers. It gets pretty good gas mileage, too.:thumbsup2

Pozey:: Sounds like Colton has already picked out his college. At least Texas is right next door to Oklahoma, right?;) He sure is getting to spend a lot of time at swim practice.
How are Courtney and Chase doing?
Got any fettuccine alfredo left? You can send it my way!!:woohoo:

Linda:: Is finals week about to a close? I know you did great! Bet you're ready for a rest; maybe a trip to Cedar Point is in order!!

Nathan's team had a good weekend of games....once again they won 4 and lost 1. We're pretty proud of them. I almost feel lost; no away games scheduled until the 4th of July weekend.:upsidedow

Hope you all have a great evening!!

Happy Friday!!!:dance3::dance3:

Not much has happend since last night, so guess I'll go straight to the breakfast food. What could be better than Mickey Waffles and some fresh fruit? :cloud9:

Good morning, everyone!!:sunny:

We didn't do a whole lot yesterday. After having my morning breakfast and coffee, I decided to go out and finish trimming the yard. Gary mowed on Thurs., so the trimming was mine and Nathan's job. I had Nathan sweep off the patio and front porch.....I think he was happy doing that. It took a while to get the feeling back in my left arm; I think I overdid it.:rolleyes1

We decided to take a drive to where Gary grew up and ate at O'Charley's. They have a wheatberry bread that Gary was able to subsitute for the white bun and he was a happy camper. I try to explain to him that he can still eat regular food, but needs to make adjustments and choices.
I had the Chicken Parmesan sandwich with fries, but didn't eat all the ciabbata roll or my fries.
I have managed to lose about 13 lbs. since Gary has been diagnosed. My goal was going to be 20 lbs. by vacation time.....not sure if I'm going to make that one.:scared:

Linda:: Glad you checked in and CONGRATS ON THE A's!!:woohoo::cheer2::dance3:
I'm so happy to hear that Mike and his son made up!! That is wonderful!!
I keep looking at that trip ticker of mine too!! 39 days from today!!:yay:
Wouldn't an early fall trip to see E be a blast!! I can dream, right?:cloud9:

Well, had better get to moving. I'm going shopping with my sister and niece today. I think Miss Cassie must have some money burning a whole in her pocket. I may try to brave the overpowering smell of cologne and see if Holister has any neat t-shirts for Nathan. It would be nice for him to have a couple for vacation.
I need new bermuda shorts, because most of the ones I bought last year are too big for me now!! I'm not complaining.;)

How about a little Pirate cereal this morning?

Good morning!

Linda congrats on your grades! :yay: That is great news about Mike and his son! I hope Kenny is having a fun summer so far. Yes I have been fortunate that Britt has chosen to stay honest with me over this boy. He did text her twice in the last week, both times she called me right away and told me, and she didn't text him back. One of her friends told her they had talked to him since school has been out and they said the way he talked about her was pretty creepy.:sad2:

Donna I hope you had fun shopping with your sister and niece! Congrats on losing weight! It is always nice when your pants are too big! Unfortunately I am not having that problem at the moment!!!:sad2: I think someone has been drying them on hot!:thumbsup2

YM I hope your DS knee is feeling better soon!:guilty: Poor kid!

We went and saw UP yesterday. I spent the first 15 minutes of it crying! :sad1: What a way to start a kids movie!!:rolleyes1

I hope everyone has better plans than us for the summer. We are going to Wisconsin Dells for a weekend and then probably Six Flags (UGH, defiantly not Cedar Point!), and that's about it. The girls have tumbling all summer, then cheer starts up.:cheer2: The makings of a pretty boring summer!!! Hopefully it will get above 70* soon so we can throw in going to the beach a couple of times.
