EPIC with a cast

HI all - I'm traveling to EPIC with someone in an ankle/below knee cast....their doctor has cleared them to ride whatever they like. However I know some rides say not to ride with 'unhealed fractures' (or language similar). I was wondering if team members will actively ask my companion if they have a fracture and prevent them from riding? Or is it more like the 'don't ride if you have heart problems' warning where it's really up to an individual to decide themselves if they can ride? Thank you so much for any insight you can provide!
