I am PATIENTLY waiting for 2010 Unofficial Guide. I ordered it from Borders with a gift card and I ordered last Monday and it's not going to be delivered until the 10th! I should have just gone to the store. BAH!

No aliens and definitely no Universal. If I were organized enough to pack early I would surely be unpacking it again and again to check on things. But sadly I have developed a bit of a habit of packing the night before!

I know exactly what you are saying about the "lull". I just posted on LL's thread that I sat down to copy my ADR's on one sheet for my planning book. I wanted everything nice and neat and pretty. Well....when I opened my planning book, I had already done it. I beat myself to doing my one last detail. I can't tweek any more ADR's, but I did manage to rebook my rental car at a lower rate. Then a found an on-airport rental car agency with a very good rate, so I booked that too. Now I have three rental car reservations, so I can cancel two! How's that for busy work!

On the other hand, I have a bagillion things to do at home. My kids soccer and school schedule is pretty booked, I volunteered to work at the Octoberfest (well, actually its a soccer obligation), and my marching band has 5 more nights of practice, a judged parade, plus a 911 ceremony. I wonder how I will get all that done and be ready to leave in 2 weeks.

I'm just gonna roll with it!

I can totally relate to the highs and lows of the pre-trip countdown. I hate when real life gets in the way of all the pre-trip excitement and planning! Many times it is not until I actually set foot in the airport that I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and allow myself to feel some excitement.

RE the UG 2010, it is out already?? Well, I guess it makes sense, I can't keep track of time, and my 2009 is seriously worn, not even a year old... I also can now "officially" tell you "yes" -- I put my little update on my PTR! So I have to go check out your itinerary too, because I have so little time to come up with a plan ... BUT slushies are ALWAYS available!!!

I just went to put together the *almost final* version of the itinerary. I’m not feeling good about it. Why? Not sure. May relate to the lull/blahs I’ve been experiencing recently. I thought I had lots planned but now when I look at it I’m not sure. UGH. I hate the doubts.

Well, let’s see what you think. Here’s the latest version of the itinerary. It’s changed, umm, quite a few times since first put together. And I still have two weeks so who knows how much more it will change. I know I have at least one more meet to fit in there now that Happydog is planning a trip! And I need to firm up some meets with some other DIS’ers!

Arrival Day- Thursday 9/24
If all goes well flight should land ~10am and am hoping to get to the hotel and checked in by no later than noon.

Online check-in : yeah or nay? I’m hesitant b/c I have the split reservation and would like it if I don’t have to switch rooms. Not that it would be the end of the world.

Lunch: Beaches ‘n Cream or head to MK and lunch at the Plaza? I’m really torn here. I’ll have a cheeseburger at either of them but just not sure if I want the leisurely approach of BnC or whether I want to get myself to the Castle. I was really hoping to try Plaza and this is the only ADR I’ve been able to get.

Afternoon: lazy exploring- see what I feel like. Either MK, Epcot WS or maybe even Downtown Disney

Adventurer’s Club dinner at 6pm? I think? DisneyDeeva, Heather or Lynn – any details on the dinner? I haven’t seen anything. Hoping to meet up with some folks beforehand (and maybe after).

We are doing AK on Saturday... possibly MK for spectro (only time to see it) that night. Monday we are going to DHS in the am, then MK in the evening, b/c EMH evening at Epcot will make it a zoo I think... Tuesday am Epcot, F & W, PM will be MNSSHP, Wednesday am Epcot... so I think we'll find a way to toast slushies for sure! Sounds like you ladies have some great choices so far! I will know more once I get my ADRs all squared away... which is starting to shape up!!!

Your itinerary looks great, and you can add and subtract as you want to. It might be fun to add some evening time hanging out in the Grand Floridian lobby listening to the band. With F&W it seems like there is even more reason to be flexible and have time to wander at leisure.

Perhaps I could meet up with you and Jen at Big Bad Voodoo Daddy! I was also thinking of pool time on the 25th. I am super excited about Stormalong Bay. I am a big lazy river fan. I think I'll get some swim noodles or a clear inner tube based on what I've read on the Y&BC thread.

I haven't heard anything more about the AC Dinner either. I wrote to my MouseFan agent and I'll let you know when I hear back. I am also not impressed with my experience using a TA, although my agent at least was able to link my reservations. I know people have agents they love and feel they get great service from, but I definitely wouldn't seek services from MouseFan again based on this trip.

Ahh... the Beach Club smell! Do you know I found a thread about that? Apparently there is a home fragrance system you can order for I think maybe ~$60 a month and use the same fragrance they use.

We'd love to see you at Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and you're welcome to join us at R&C for dinner if you'd like. ADR at 7pm.

Pool time on the 25th sounds good too. I hadn't thought about a noodle. Hmmm....

I am glad we aren't the only ones having trouble with this travel agency! Well, not glad you are having trouble, but you know... Our agent has been so hard to get a hold of! I wrote her two weeks ago to get some particulars about the Adventurer's Club (whether there will be tickets or a checkin list at the event, what we will be eating, so on.) and couldn't get any answers. I'm going to send another email on Wednesday. Let me know if you guys hear anything!!
