Break out the bubbly and warn the waiters...she's coming back!

I am such the black sheep of this group. I don't care for Vera and I don't watch Grey's...ever.

Christine believe when I tell you that you won't be able to tear yourself away from the entertainment at AC....especially if that Vera is full of nips.

And yes I did see Mr Dane on home video....I watched the cut version, did you watch the uncut 12 minute version???

I suddenly feel a bit better about postponing my trip.

Hmmm. What to do. Because then you have the problem because you'll be there for two Thursdays right? Eeek!

I think I'd just tape them honestly. I promise I won't text you with any OMGs, can you believe it? ;)

Ugh! Yes, 2 Thursdays! I didn't even think about the 2nd one! I'm going to have to add cleaning out the DVR to my to-do list so it can hold all this!

Thanks for not torturing me with texts. ;)

Christine, I had not realized that the 24th is the GA Season Premiere...and I dare to call myself a fan. I did a quick check of the Facebook Fanpage for EAW - it says the dinner starts at 6:00. I'm sure the dinner portion of the evening will be over by 9:00 for the premiere.

Where is the nearest television? Can I join you? Does Raglan Road have a television? What about Paradiso 37? I'm staying at POR - that might be as close as I can muster.

I'm positive that the WDW Radio gang will be having some sort of "after the event" event but I don't have any details yet. Lou is too busy planning for the August Meet-of-the-Month and the D23 Expo. Even if I slipped out for a couple hours to watch GA, I'm sure that I could catch up with the gang later in the evening.

I'd love company. I'm sure we can find a TV somewhere. I think there is a tv at RR but there's also live music so not sure about that combo.

There's a facebook page? I just joined FB a week or so ago and am still figuring it out. I'll have to see if I can find it.

That is a quandry, Christine! I have been having a hard time dealing with the idea that I will be missing the second episode of the season until I get home -- the season premiere would really throw me into a tizzy -- especially after what I have been reading about it. :rolleyes1

So glad you guys don't think I'm nuts for worrying about this! :goodvibes

You know what's so hilarious about this post...the fact that just today I was thinking that thank goodness I don't leave until Friday the 25th because that way I don't miss the Season premiere of CSI NY or Grey's Anatomy...:rotfl2: I cannot wait for the start of those shows!! I do have DVR so I'll be able to catch up with the second eppys...however I'm sure you will be able to catch up with it on abc.com and it will do for what you have LOL!!!

However this is quite the quandry you have yourself in LOL!! Just kidding we both know you will have an amazing time at the AC Dinner!

 that is funny. As soon as I read it in TV Guide, I felt it in the pit of my stomach. I'll be in Disney. I may not be able to watch. :scared:

But you're right abc.com is a good option. They'd better post it immediately!

Ummm I would like a PM about what exactly you have been reading out LOL I want to know LOL!!!

Me too!

 You always make me laugh, Jen. Sometimes I have to go peek at spoilerfix.com. It talks about what is going to happen during the season premiere. Let's just say it made me teary-eyed just reading about it.

Thanks for the site recommendation - can't wait to go check it out!

HELLO!!! YES !! I'm back! catching up now!!! I am thrilled for you, really!!! OH I wish I wasn't sure!! :guilty: BUT stranger things have happened!

I am finishing my TR this week, gotta turn to my new PTR!!! FOUR months today!!

I will start my PTR with a mini-TR of my trip to the WEST coast!!! :thumbsup2

having fun reading all your quips!

Welcome back! I'm all for "strange" things happening. :rolleyes1 I can't wait for your mini TR and PTR!!

That's ok, Heidi. We'll still keep you. :) I am looking forward to seeing the Adventurer's Club! I only saw the censored version. I don't know what they were thinking filming that. Well, I guess they weren't thinking... that's the point. Apparently he's a lot more like his McSteamy/McSleezy character than I thought!

Hey C! I love your list.....made me feel all excited and sentimental right along with you!!!! It was just PERFECT!!!!

Thank GOD we have Tivo to catch all our shows...even if it will be a week or two later....we are good about not listening to the buzz or chatter. I hope you find a way to watch...my bet is that it will work best watching it in your room on the computer!!! BTW....what is this video of Mr. Dane that you and Heidi speak of?!?!?!

Christine, you totally rock! Your latest list is spectacular and reading it I had ooohs and aaahs and tears. Sweet!

I'm sorry that the Adventurer's Club event is in conflict with the premiere of your much awaited show. I'm sure a strategy can be worked out!

Heidi, at the risk of being lynched along with you, I'll admit, I don't watch Grey's Anatomy either.

Actually, DH and I just joined the rest of the world by upgrading our cable package and getting a DVR. :lmao: It ended up being less than we were paying for our current service, what a great promotion.

Anyway, Christine, I'd be happy to record it for you. Then, of course you'd have to come to my house to watch it. ;)

I'm not a Grey's watcher either...I've never seen an episode! BUT, I understand your situation - I had a similar one with the premier of LOST back in January. I cut from the park as quickly as I could and we enjoyed it in our villa; however, I think watching it later on abc.com would be just as good-it will be new for you! AND then you won't miss out on all the fun at the dinner, I'm sure it will be a complete blast!!

Hey! I was just checking in to see if you were still going to Adventurer's weekend! I've been away from the DIS so long! I can't believe it is 3 weeks from today.:cool1:

Grey's Lover here and that is a quandry! Hope you can find a good spot to watch that night. It should be a really good one with the whole George thing. Poor George. :sad2:

We haven't seen Christine in so long that I'm a little worried, but it is nice to see you!

Thanks, Jen! Tivo has totally changed my life. I couldn't live without it. I agree - think the abc.com option is the best. I don't want to miss out on fun WDW time with DIS friends! I assume you've heard more about the video by now but he and his wife had some -ahem- fun with one of her girlfriends sans clothing. :rolleyes1

You don't watch Grey's? :scared1: Is now an ok time to admit I haven't seen all the Pirates movies?

I remember reading about your fun night in watching Lost! I will surely have to watch at some point online. Thank goodness for abc.com!!

I know... I've been delinquent!

Hey! I was just checking in to see if you were still going to Adventurer's weekend! I've been away from the DIS so long! I can't believe it is 3 weeks from today.:cool1:

Hi Lynn! I've been thinking about you and Chuck! Hope you're both well. I can't believe the trip is so close either!!

Grey's Lover here and that is a quandry! Hope you can find a good spot to watch that night. It should be a really good one with the whole George thing. Poor George. :sad2:

Oh dear, poor George. It's going to be so sad. I'm sure we can either find a place to watch or watch later on abc.com. I will also tape at home just to be safe.

We haven't seen Christine in so long that I'm a little worried, but it is nice to see you!

Sorry to worry you- stupid life getting in the way. :sad2:

Hey! I just noticed it has been a bit since her last post. Come back, Christine! I just got here!

I'm back!

Dear readers,

I must apologize for the prolonged absence. What the heck have I been doing? :confused3 I don’t really know.

Work has been really, really busy. Which is helping the time fly by – :woohoo: I’m in the teens, baby! :woohoo: – but is not terribly conducive to DIS’ing.

Summer has finally arrived in Connecticut – just in time for Labor Day Weekend.

And I’m in that kind of pre-trip lull state. Do you know what I mean? The period during which there isn't much to do in the way of pre trip planning - your daily schedules and ADRs are completed. But there is at boat load of real life stuff to do at home and at work and you wonder how on earth you will ever get it all done? And I don't especially want to do ANY of it. And even worse I am starting to get some guilty feelings about going at all. It's going to be a fairly busy time at work. And I'm taking almost a week and a half off! Which right now sounds like both heaven and hell to me. Not that I'd dream of canceling but right now I'm in that place where you can't imagine it all working out. Do any of you know that place??

On the trip planning front, my Magical Express documents came. Without the luggage tags. :headache: This trip is somewhat more complicated b/c I have a split reservation. 1 night (arrival night) thru the travel agency so I can attend the special Adventurer's Club dinner and the rest from my bounceback reservation. I have to say I am underwhelmed with the agency. On the one hand I totally get that my one night reservation is hardly making them big bucks (or maybe even any bucks) and they need to direct their energy to their big spenders. But on the other hand, how great an opportunity would this have been to show me how great working with an agency is? Instead my agent is kind of tough to get in touch with and although she says she added my flight info, ME didn't have it. She said she tried to link my two reservations together but Disney doesn’t let you do that. That doesn’t sound right to me so I’m going to try calling later today. I called Magical Express and got my flight info added and the tag has arrived. Interesting that they only send one tag per person now.

Let’s see… what else have I been doing? I have been reading the 2010 Unofficial Guide. In the theme parks section there are some interesting rumors and tidbits from Jim Hill that I don’t remember seeing before. I’ll share them below in white so you can skip them if you don’t want spoilers. Scroll over with your mouse if you want to read! :thumbsup2

Captain Barbosa is now a face character in MK indicating – according to Mr. Hill- that he’ll be back in POC 4 the movie.

Big Thunder due for rehab possibly incorporating things from the upcoming Jerry Bruckheimer Lone Ranger movie. Movie being released summer 2013.

There is an issue with nuisance gators in the water around Tom Sawyer’s Island. WDW calls the folks from Gator Land to handle.

Thinking about putting a ride photo element into Haunted Mansion in the graveyard sequence.

Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – a new dark ride in Fantasyland set for early 2012. Will feature both “Kiss the Girl” and “Under the Sea.” Described as “epic in scale.”

Snow White ride rumored to be going away in the Fantasyland re-do.

Re-do in the works for Peter Pan b/c Americans larger sized posteriors nowadays are having trouble fitting in the ride vehicles.

Flattening Toon Town and re-doing to better reflect style of Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney etc. 2013.

Disney’s movie The Earth will replace Circle of Life in 2011- which is the year of WDW’s 40th anniversary

Real progress in adding a country to world showcase (talking to Russia, Spain and Australia) but now with economy timing pushed back maybe to WDW’s 45th or 50th anniversary.

New movie in 2012- King of Elves – characters likely to be added into Norway. Apparently there is a new department at Disney whose job is to figure out where in the parks to place characters… how cool!

Looking into replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug movie with a movie that explains what Animal Kingdom is all about.

Great Movie Ride re-do in late 2011/early 2012. Rumored that mummy tomb and Alien scenes will go away.

Thinking about a special edition Muppet’s Christmas Carol to play instead of the regular Muppets 3D at holiday time.

Adding Cars stuff to Lights Motors Action. Thinking of taking out Backlot Tour’s Catastrophe Canyon to expand Pixar Place and put in the Cars themed area California Adventure has in summer 2012.

One Man’s Dream to go to California Adventure at end of 2012.

How’s that for some tips? We’ll have to see how many come true!

So what else. I have a few things I need to get done. Odds and ends to buy. Transfer my Disney Visa $. I've literally been saving pennies and need to go cash in using that machine at the grocery store. Speaking of grocery need to place my order with garden grocer. Still would like to do a special iron on t-shirt for Halloween but not sure if I'll get to it? Oh and I need to get the Photopass info out!

Anywho... I guess that's all for now. I've missed you guys. Hope to pop on a bit more often over the next 18 DAYS and then of course there will be the TR and *possibly* some live updates.

Thanks for sticking with me! :upsidedow

Well Hey there!

I have enjoyed reading all your lists!! LL and her list making is infectious... When are your dates "exactly" ? I can go back and look... just asking ...
;)

JUST ASKING??? There is no such thing as "just asking" Ms. Happy. Spill it! I'll be there Sept 24 thru Oct 3rd. Please tell me we'll see you there!!!

Oh my gosh, I am so in the same place as you! Sort of meh, right? :lmao:

Here's a big ole theraputic :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: for both of us.

Hi, Christine! I have missed you!!! :goodvibes

I know all about that lull waiting for the trip!

What a shame about the travel agency! :headache:

Interesting rumors -- I hope the ones I like come true, and the others don't.

Thanks for the update as well as the rumors! :)

Those rumors make me :yay: and a little bit of :hyper: with a dash of :faint:

I am PATIENTLY waiting for 2010 Unofficial Guide. I ordered it from Borders with a gift card and I ordered last Monday and it's not going to be delivered until the 10th! :scared1: I should have just gone to the store. BAH!

I hate that pre-trip planning lull. It stinks. It makes you doubt yourself and just doesn't feel good. I hope it goes away soon and the excitement sets in! :thumbsup2
