Break out the bubbly and warn the waiters...she's coming back!

Good news.....I know first hand that World of Disney does package delivery to your resort. And a couple years ago I had used it at Basin as well. And there are lockers down by Capt Jacks......:rolleyes1.....can you tell that I like to shop?

 Christine! I LOVE your list! I wanted to responded to each and every single thing listed but decided I'd be here until tomorrow doing it!

I'm sure the next 38 days will fly by.....

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one....

who stares at that hairy pirate leg every time I go on POTC. Quite frankly, it's not a Disney trip until I see that leg. Do you ever notice how much dirt is on it? It changes. It's so funny.

Yes.

I'm aware that I have issues. pirate:

Christine - I :lovestruc your list!

#29 - B & C cheeseburger... did you know they now have it at Hurricane Hanna's too?

#9 - Bringing kids to WDW someday... My older DD sent me an email today that made me cry. It was a list of her own; thank-yous to me for many things. Near the top was "Thank you for Disney." She will turn 31 in October. We started taking her to WDW when she was 3 years old.

Thanks, Elin! :goodvibes I heard that about the burger at Hurricane Hanna's. Have you tried it? Is it as good? Or does the BnC atmosphere add to the taste? Maybe I'll just have to try one in each location!

Your daughter sounds lovely. I owe my parents a note like that! Sounds like you did a great job raising her and instilling the Disney love!! :goodvibes

Awww, C! Your list is fabulous.

I got a little teary at a few points.

Thanks. I got a little teary thinking about how excited I am for this trip. That's the magic of Disney, I guess. :wizard:

What an absolutely magnificent list, C!!!

Do you know I used to memorize Birnbaum as a kid, too??? I think that is why I always think happy thoughts when I smell it -- it reminds me of being a kid again!

Thanks so much, CP! Sounds like we were destined to be friends! I will have to tell my parents that I found someone else who read and memorized Birnbaum as a kid. They thought I was a freak! :lmao:

Great list! Love #16 and #20 in particular. It is sooo fun talking to people in Disney/hearing their reactions. And Soarin...I just love everything about that ride! 4 days until I get to ride it! :goodvibes

4 days... so jealous! Can't wait to hear all about it! Don't you just meet the greatest people at Disney (and by extension on the DIS)?? Love it! Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great list C!!! It really brought a smile to my face and made for a perfect ending to my day!!! I really can't wait to find out from you where the best cheeseburger on property is....of course I also can't wait to go to Les Chefs and funny its not about the food for me either LOL!!!!! I especially enjoyed #1!!

Have a great week C!!!!

Thanks, Jen. Since I have yet to meet a cheeseburger and fries I haven't liked this will be an interesting challenge! But I am looking forward to fulfilling it. And having some other yummies in between burgers. ;)

C - I love, love, love your list. So much thought and detail went into those 39 things. It doesn't hurt that alcohol made the list several times as well! :rotfl: Your trip is really shaping up nicely. My trip is officially five weeks away, which makes it exactly 35 days. You are trying so many great, new restaurants.

Thanks for being the second vote for the grapefruit cake today. CP swears by it and her picture makes it look devine. You see, I am having a little trouble deciding between keeping my Brown Derby lunch ADR and changing that ADR to a 1TS meal and adding Kona for breakfast. So many choices.....so little time... to eat!

Thanks, Mary Ellen. Ironically enough, it just kind of "came out" as I was sitting down (ok, with a glass of wine, you caught me ;)) and thinking about how excited I am for this trip.

Of course alcohol made the list a few times! ::yes::

35 days for you... how exciting!

Yes, you MUST go to Brown Derby. Ask for a booth. Do it! Be sure to notice whose signature the guest book is turned to in the lobby. Not sure why but "we" like to know. Enjoy!! :goodvibes

Wonderful post...you had me tearin' up with a few of them and dancing in my seat for a few others! :cloud9: Ahhhhh!

We have done GardenGrocer.com and WeGoShop.com. Both were excellent services. GardenGrocer you select items on their website. WeGoShop will shop for exactly the brand/item you want. Either one will deliver straight to your room, or to Bell Services (who will keep your cold stuff cold) if you are not in your room.

I have heard some rumblings about resorts now charging fees for deliveries, but I believe it was for those items that come to their shipping docks-like cases of water from Costco. GardenGrocer and WeGoShop are both local businesses and deliver to the front desk/your room-so I *don't think* there is a charge. But, I'm not fully certain...

Thanks Brook! I am a combo of teary and dancing myself! I can't wait!!! You must be getting excited for your trip too!

Thanks for the review on the grocery services. I will definitely try one. I saw on another thread that you can also even order a styrofoam cooler that you can keep filled with ice if staying at a resort w/o a fridge in the room. How cool is that? Of course I'll probably order a bunch and have to leave it for Mousekeeping.

OH!!!!!!!!! I just remembered from your TR that you ordered the low fat ice cream sandwiches I can't remember the name of. Not laughing cow... that's the cheese but something like that. Unfortunately I won't have a full size freezer so don't think I can do that. :sad2:

Christine, your list is wonderful! It would make a lovely countdown calender! :goodvibes

I am glad you managed to get the event you wanted even if it is on the wrong day. I wonder why Disney never seems to be prepared as well as one would expect for those special event bookings. I often heard less than happy stories...

Thanks! I have a bare bones countdown in the basement with my workout stuff. To remind me that in 37 days I will be taking pictures that could potentially be posted in at least 6-7 TRs.... must try to look good!

I have no idea why they aren't better prepared. But if the powers that be are reading this and would like to hire me, I'd love to work on the project next year! :thumbsup2

Good news.....I know first hand that World of Disney does package delivery to your resort. And a couple years ago I had used it at Basin as well. And there are lockers down by Capt Jacks......:rolleyes1.....can you tell that I like to shop?

That is great news! Thank you, oh shopping guru!!! Oh, Basin. Just saw some recent shopping pics on another TR. I love it in there!! :cloud9:

 Christine! I LOVE your list! I wanted to responded to each and every single thing listed but decided I'd be here until tomorrow doing it!

I'm sure the next 38 days will fly by.....

Thanks, Melissa! I bet they are going to fly too! And so will the days on your unexpected but so very happy countdown! :goodvibes

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one....

Yes.

I am glad I'm not alone too! But no, I had not noticed that the dirt changes. Really? :confused3 You have a far better eye than I do! But everytime I go under the bridge I remember Mr. Birnbaum (or whoever) pointing out that this was an example of Disney's attention to detail and, if memory serves, that real human hair was applied to the leg! pirate:

Hey- maybe we'll get to ride together during MNSSHP!

Thanks so much, CP! Sounds like we were destined to be friends! I will have to tell my parents that I found someone else who read and memorized Birnbaum as a kid. They thought I was a freak! :lmao:

That's how I know some of the photos and copy are the same ones they have used since the dawn of time!

Awww C....LOVE the newest list!!!:lovestruc It actually brought tears to my eyes and goosebumps!!!! Isn't the DIS amazing, I know you and I have talked about this in the past, but it's really amazing to meet so many wonderful people here! We all have one thing in common, our love for Disney, but as people, we're all pretty amazing too!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! And yay for 38 days!!:yay:

Oh, we are SO going to ride together during MNSSHP. Quite frankly, with the amount of people we are, I'm almost positive we'll have a boat to ourselves! How cool would that be??? :lmao:

Your list made me smile!

Toast that champagne to Walt for following his dream and creating the most special, unique place that all of us so dearly love!

YAY!!!! I finally got caught up after my two week hiatus!!!! MAN your lists and reflections are so fun!! :goodvibes I want to devour the computer just reading the items you are going to "sample" at the FWF!!!!!! :cloud9: YUM YUM YUM!!! And all the lovely drinks to go with it! The wine tastings *sigh* All your planning, it looks like this is going to be a trip to remember!!!

AND I also just love your little walk down memory lane with all things WDW!!! I especially liked the Orange smell and shoes off of Soarin' and the people watching! But of course I can't agree more with you about meeting people through DIS... I just think it is the coolest thing ever that you are going to have a meet and greet with so many, I too, am very excited for you! :)

Keep the updates coming! Getting so close, really!!!!

Okay, caught up and waiting for more!!! popcorn::

I used to love that book so much! I should look on ebay for a "first edition." :rotfl: We could have been separated at birth!

Thanks Kristen! :goodvibes DIS'ers are absolutely the best. I've tried to explain it to non-DIS'ing friends but either they don't get it or I can't adequately explain the idea that we form these friendships over talking Disney. Oh well, too bad for them, I love it! :)

So glad to make you smile. I will be sure to toast Walt and the DIS at least a few times! ;)

Hi Happy! Are you back from Oregon? How was your trip? Yup, yup, getting closer. Can't wait. Are you SURE you can't squeeze in a solo trip? :rolleyes1

Oh dear. I have just realized that my first night in Disney and the much anticipated WDW Radio Show dinner at the Adventurer's Club is on the same night as the Grey's Anatomy premiere. You know, the one where everyone realizes George is John Doe. :scared1:

I'm not sure what to do! :confused3

Heather or DisneyDeeva- do you know what the times of the AC dinner are?

I know I can record it at home or even watch online but somehow it's not the same.

I'm addicted to TV and Disney... give me a break. ;)

I'm thinking that maybe depending on the end of the WDW dinner that I could hit a bar and watch the premiere there? :confused3

Or maybe my best bet is just to watch on abc. com when I get back to the hotel.

So silly that this has me all worked up!

Clearly I have no life!

It's a "special" dinner for WDW radio show listeners. You had to either book a reservation through Mouse Fan Travel or buy a ticket seperately. Honestly that's just about all the data that I have.

It's a catered dinner. But no booze. :sad2: Never fear - I have learned from the best- and will bring nips. ;)

I'm looking forward to the dinner from the perspective of hanging with fellow Disney peeps but I've never ever been to AC so I'm a bit afraid that some of the "effect" will be lost on me. :confused3

And I simply must catch up with my Grey's Anatomy friends. Speaking of which... anyone seen McSteamy's "amateur video"? :rolleyes1 Holy cow is all I have to say....

I suddenly feel a bit better about postponing my trip.

Hmmm. What to do. Because then you have the problem because you'll be there for two Thursdays right? Eeek!

I think I'd just tape them honestly. I promise I won't text you with any OMGs, can you believe it? ;)

Christine, I had not realized that the 24th is the GA Season Premiere...and I dare to call myself a fan. I did a quick check of the Facebook Fanpage for EAW - it says the dinner starts at 6:00. I'm sure the dinner portion of the evening will be over by 9:00 for the premiere.

Where is the nearest television? Can I join you? Does Raglan Road have a television? What about Paradiso 37? I'm staying at POR - that might be as close as I can muster.

I'm positive that the WDW Radio gang will be having some sort of "after the event" event but I don't have any details yet. Lou is too busy planning for the August Meet-of-the-Month and the D23 Expo. Even if I slipped out for a couple hours to watch GA, I'm sure that I could catch up with the gang later in the evening.

That is a quandry, Christine! I have been having a hard time dealing with the idea that I will be missing the second episode of the season until I get home -- the season premiere would really throw me into a tizzy -- especially after what I have been reading about it. :rolleyes1

You know what's so hilarious about this post...the fact that just today I was thinking that thank goodness I don't leave until Friday the 25th because that way I don't miss the Season premiere of CSI NY or Grey's Anatomy...:rotfl2: I cannot wait for the start of those shows!! I do have DVR so I'll be able to catch up with the second eppys...however I'm sure you will be able to catch up with it on abc.com and it will do for what you have LOL!!!

However this is quite the quandry you have yourself in LOL!! Just kidding we both know you will have an amazing time at the AC Dinner!

Ummm I would like a PM about what exactly you have been reading out LOL I want to know LOL!!!

 You always make me laugh, Jen. Sometimes I have to go peek at spoilerfix.com. It talks about what is going to happen during the season premiere. Let's just say it made me teary-eyed just reading about it.
