Christine - I

your list!
#29 - B & C cheeseburger... did you know they now have it at Hurricane Hanna's too?
#9 - Bringing kids to WDW someday... My older DD sent me an email today that made me cry. It was a list of her own; thank-yous to me for many things. Near the top was "Thank you for Disney." She will turn 31 in October. We started taking her to WDW when she was 3 years old.
Thanks, Elin!

I heard that about the burger at Hurricane Hanna's. Have you tried it? Is it as good? Or does the BnC atmosphere add to the taste? Maybe I'll just have to try one in each location!
Your daughter sounds lovely. I owe my parents a note like that! Sounds like you did a great job raising her and instilling the Disney love!!
Awww, C! Your list is fabulous.
I got a little teary at a few points.
Thanks. I got a little teary thinking about how excited I am for this trip. That's the magic of Disney, I guess.
What an absolutely magnificent list, C!!!
Do you know I used to memorize Birnbaum as a kid, too??? I think that is why I always think happy thoughts when I smell it -- it reminds me of being a kid again!
Thanks so much, CP! Sounds like we were destined to be friends! I will have to tell my parents that I found someone else who read and memorized Birnbaum as a kid. They thought I was a freak!
Great list! Love #16 and #20 in particular. It is sooo fun talking to people in Disney/hearing their reactions. And Soarin...I just love everything about that ride! 4 days until I get to ride it!
4 days... so jealous! Can't wait to hear all about it! Don't you just meet the greatest people at Disney (and by extension on the DIS)?? Love it! Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great list C!!! It really brought a smile to my face and made for a perfect ending to my day!!! I really can't wait to find out from you where the best cheeseburger on property is....of course I also can't wait to go to Les Chefs and funny its not about the food for me either LOL!!!!! I especially enjoyed #1!!
Have a great week C!!!!
Thanks, Jen. Since I have yet to meet a cheeseburger and fries I haven't liked this will be an interesting challenge! But I am looking forward to fulfilling it. And having some other yummies in between burgers.
C - I love, love, love your list. So much thought and detail went into those 39 things. It doesn't hurt that alcohol made the list several times as well!

Your trip is really shaping up nicely. My trip is officially five weeks away, which makes it exactly 35 days. You are trying so many great, new restaurants.
Thanks for being the second vote for the grapefruit cake today. CP swears by it and her picture makes it look devine. You see, I am having a little trouble deciding between keeping my Brown Derby lunch ADR and changing that ADR to a 1TS meal and adding Kona for breakfast. So many choices.....so little time... to eat!
Thanks, Mary Ellen. Ironically enough, it just kind of "came out" as I was sitting down (ok, with a glass of wine, you caught me

) and thinking about how excited I am for this trip.
Of course alcohol made the list a few times!
35 days for you... how exciting!
Yes, you MUST go to Brown Derby. Ask for a booth. Do it! Be sure to notice whose signature the guest book is turned to in the lobby. Not sure why but "we" like to know. Enjoy!!
Wonderful post...you had me tearin' up with a few of them and dancing in my seat for a few others!

Ahhhhh!
We have done GardenGrocer.com and WeGoShop.com. Both were excellent services. GardenGrocer you select items on their website. WeGoShop will shop for exactly the brand/item you want. Either one will deliver straight to your room, or to Bell Services (who will keep your cold stuff cold) if you are not in your room.
I have heard some rumblings about resorts now charging fees for deliveries, but I believe it was for those items that come to their shipping docks-like cases of water from Costco. GardenGrocer and WeGoShop are both local businesses and deliver to the front desk/your room-so I *don't think* there is a charge. But, I'm not fully certain...
Thanks Brook! I am a combo of teary and dancing myself! I can't wait!!! You must be getting excited for your trip too!
Thanks for the review on the grocery services. I will definitely try one. I saw on another thread that you can also even order a styrofoam cooler that you can keep filled with ice if staying at a resort w/o a fridge in the room. How cool is that? Of course I'll probably order a bunch and have to leave it for Mousekeeping.
OH!!!!!!!!! I just remembered from your TR that you ordered the low fat ice cream sandwiches I can't remember the name of. Not laughing cow... that's the cheese but something like that. Unfortunately I won't have a full size freezer so don't think I can do that.
Christine, your list is wonderful! It would make a lovely countdown calender!
I am glad you managed to get the event you wanted even if it is on the wrong day. I wonder why Disney never seems to be prepared as well as one would expect for those special event bookings. I often heard less than happy stories...
Thanks! I have a bare bones countdown in the basement with my workout stuff. To remind me that in 37 days I will be taking pictures that could potentially be posted in at least 6-7 TRs.... must try to look good!
I have no idea why they aren't better prepared. But if the powers that be are reading this and would like to hire me, I'd love to work on the project next year!
Good news.....I know first hand that World of Disney does package delivery to your resort. And a couple years ago I had used it at Basin as well. And there are lockers down by Capt Jacks......

.....can you tell that I like to shop?
That is great news! Thank you, oh shopping guru!!! Oh, Basin. Just saw some recent shopping pics on another TR. I love it in there!!

Christine! I LOVE your list! I wanted to responded to each and every single thing listed but decided I'd be here until tomorrow doing it!
I'm sure the next 38 days will fly by.....
Thanks, Melissa! I bet they are going to fly too! And so will the days on your unexpected but so very happy countdown!
I am so glad to know that I am not the only one....
who stares at that hairy pirate leg every time I go on POTC. Quite frankly, it's not a Disney trip until I see that leg. Do you ever notice how much dirt is on it? It changes. It's so funny.
Yes.
I'm aware that I have issues.
I am glad I'm not alone too! But no, I had not noticed that the dirt changes. Really?

You have a far better eye than I do! But everytime I go under the bridge I remember Mr. Birnbaum (or whoever) pointing out that this was an example of Disney's attention to detail and, if memory serves, that real human hair was applied to the leg!
Hey- maybe we'll get to ride together during
MNSSHP!
