So, I'm now a 30DD. I can fit into a 32D, but a 30DD is a better fit. Anyone know of good inexpensive bras at this size?
When your girls are that big, you cannot cheap out on a bra! You need a good bra that will hold them up or you are going to have back problems! It is better to have a few good ones than to buy a lot fo cheapies. And don't put them in the dryer.
Absolutely!! Buy a few good ones and take care of them but don't go cheap or your back will hate you. I like Nordstrom because they will work with you until you have a perfect fit. Once I know my size in a brand for sure, www.biggerbras.com has some good ones. Freya and Chantelle are good ones. But I would go somewhere reputable to be measured because sizes can vary so much with the designer and while you save money buying on-line, you could end up with a lot of returns.
I've bought bras for my well endowed DD (same as you 30DD) at Victorias Secret. If you keep an eye out, they sometimes have sales. I think the last one i bought was $48.00.

Totally agree. for years i've complained that i never found a comfy yet nice bra ever in my life....until i went to victorias secret. I found the sale bin...it was filled with nice bra's, and most sizes were D and DD!! And guess how much? reg price was over $50 but all bras in the bins were marked down to $14.99!!!! I grabbed a bunch and tried them on. i ended up buying 6 of them! let me tell you, theyre the nicest and comfiest bras i ever had in my life. You gotta check it out. I was always a Victorias Secret skeptic until i tried them on. Lol. BTW im a 34 D.
32D is such a common size and 30DD so hard to find. Have you ever tried just getting the 32D real cheap altering the band to make it smaller? It seems like a pretty simple sewing project plus it will save you big $$$. I googled and found a tutorial by a lady who did it http://thinkwithmyheart.blogspot.ca/2011/09/bra-alteration.html
Does anyone have advice for the opposite problem? I need a 38 or 40 A, or almost B.
I have always found luck at the department stores, and I have never worn anything smaller than a D. (Lucky me at age 14 lol...) They are not really "cheap"; most seem to be around $35 if I remember correctly. But they are great quality, and most importantly, many of those places have someone to measure you, instead of you just being on your own.
Last year I went to JC Penney's after Christmas sale. A lot of their bras were Buy One Get One 1/2 off, and they had one of those $10 off $25 coupons in the paper. I think I got 4 bras for $100. Not bad.
Thanks, though I don't think of them as being that big. When I was heavier, I was a 34DD.
