So, I'm now a 30DD. I can fit into a 32D, but a 30DD is a better fit. Anyone know of good inexpensive bras at this size?

When your girls are that big, you cannot cheap out on a bra! You need a good bra that will hold them up or you are going to have back problems! It is better to have a few good ones than to buy a lot fo cheapies. And don't put them in the dryer. It is hard to find a big cup/small band, but try barenecessities dot com and her room dot com. Most companies start at a 32 band. If you have an Intimacy near you it might be worth having a fitting. Their bras a at least $100 bucks each, but they are the best fitting you will ever find, and once you know what brands work for you, you can buy them online cheaper. I bought one at the fitting, but have continued to buy online since then. Good bras for bigger busted girls = Elomi, Freya, Fantasie some of them do make the 30 band size. The first time you order you may need to order a couple of sizes and try them on, but they have good return policies online.

Thanks, though I don't think of them as being that big. When I was heavier, I was a 34DD.

I've bought bras for my well endowed DD (same as you 30DD) at Victorias Secret. If you keep an eye out, they sometimes have sales. I think the last one i bought was $48.00.

Absolutely!! Buy a few good ones and take care of them but don't go cheap or your back will hate you. I like Nordstrom because they will work with you until you have a perfect fit. Once I know my size in a brand for sure, www.biggerbras.com has some good ones. Freya and Chantelle are good ones. But I would go somewhere reputable to be measured because sizes can vary so much with the designer and while you save money buying on-line, you could end up with a lot of returns.

Nordstroms is great if there is one close! Once you are fitted, you can buy online. I have a lot of weird color bras because I buy them in my size on clearance if I find them online. I wear an unusual size too, large cup, small band. And the brand I like most is so expensive!!!

Totally agree. for years i've complained that i never found a comfy yet nice bra ever in my life....until i went to victorias secret. I found the sale bin...it was filled with nice bra's, and most sizes were D and DD!! And guess how much? reg price was over $50 but all bras in the bins were marked down to $14.99!!!! I grabbed a bunch and tried them on. i ended up buying 6 of them! let me tell you, theyre the nicest and comfiest bras i ever had in my life. You gotta check it out. I was always a Victorias Secret skeptic until i tried them on. Lol. BTW im a 34 D.

VS does have super cute stuff and fairly inexpensive but they just don't go that high in cup sizes. :(

I have always found luck at the department stores, and I have never worn anything smaller than a D. (Lucky me at age 14 lol...) They are not really "cheap"; most seem to be around $35 if I remember correctly. But they are great quality, and most importantly, many of those places have someone to measure you, instead of you just being on your own.
Last year I went to JC Penney's after Christmas sale. A lot of their bras were Buy One Get One 1/2 off, and they had one of those $10 off $25 coupons in the paper. I think I got 4 bras for $100. Not bad.

Does anyone have advice for the opposite problem? I need a 38 or 40 A, or almost B.

Lane Bryant.

Once I tried one, I've never gone back to any other brand of bra. I cannot wear an underwire though so I'm extremely limited in my choices. Their bras have been the most comfortable bras (all day, no pain!) and give me such a better shape than the old ones I used to love frm Kohls, JCP, etc...

Definitely check into them! I had never set foot into the store Until I shopped with a Plus size friend once and she suggested I try a bra.

I have 1 in every color/pattern!

I've seen these bra band extender things before. I thought I may have seen them in the sewing notions section of a department store but I could be wrong. My DD wears an A and I think the largest I've seen is a 32 or 34. Even with band extenders the straps might not line up right. Might be worth a shot though

I find 32D at dept stores, but not 30DD. When I wore 34DD, I had no problem. The problem is the 30.

They aren't that big at all. 32D is the same cup size as 34C or 36B (or 30DD), because cup size is in proportion to band size.

Sorry, I cannot help with where to find the 30DD (I'm a 32D, or sometimes a 34C if the brand has a tight band, so have never looked for a 30DD), but I wanted to point out that you aren't crazy in not thinking of them as being that big.

victoria secrets when on sale and they have sales all the time/ as well as Kohl's and Macy's and Carson's

Ah, being someone else with a small ribcage and a large cup size, I can totally help you!

Bravissimo.com is a European website, but they ship to the US. They carry band sizes as small as 28 in cup sizes D and larger. They also make underwire swimsuits, which are so difficult to find with a small ribcage. And, they have a clothing line with clothes that fit better over a large chest (I'm guessing you're a small in shirts, but the buttons gape).

This company has been a lifesaver for me - I hope they can help you!

BTW, Victoria's Secret definitely "upsizes" their bras to make people feel "better" about their chest size. If you're a DD at Victoria's Secret, you're probably a D with a company who specializes in large bra sizes.

30DDD or 30E/F (depending on the country made in) here. :wave2: I usually never spend less than $60 on a bra, but that bra fits incredibly & it lasts me over a year, minimum.

I have always done well with www.barenecessities.com. (they're having a big sale today!!) They have a large selection, usually always great coupon codes, free returns & cute bras even for our size. You know, rather than those ugly matronly looking grandma bras. ;) Just be sure you look at the size chart & country made, as you're a different size depending on the country the bra is made. :thumbsup2

I'm a 36DD, and it's not easy to fit either. Trust me, when my sisters buy bras on sale for 10$, I get jealous that spending 40$ on a sale bra is a deal for me. When you are a unique size, it costs more. The best thing you can do, is go to VS and try on different styles and sizes, and shop during their semi-annual sales. They have lots of coupons, and the sizes they don't have in store, they have online.
