Branson, MO on a budget?

We are locals, but occasionally we spend the night in Branson at the Grand Country Inn . It has an indoor/outdoor water park. Admission is free for Grand Country guests.

There are lots of good plaes to eat. Right now our 2 favorites are on the Branson Landing, Shorty Smalls BBQ and the Mexican restaurant (can't think of the name- but very good. more gourmet mex than tex-mex).

It is called Cantina Laredo. Oh how I miss that place in Texas.;)

We go to Branson to go boating and jet skiing. I always have to give my props to Tablerock Lake when people mention Branson.

Tablerock is something that is very beautiful and if you ever have wanted to boat or jet ski, it is a wonderful place to do it.

We stay on Indian Point as well. It is right next to SDC and we stay in cabins that you can cook in.

All hotels are "run down" for the most part I would say except for the new hotel on the Landing.

We also run to Branson West to go shopping, so you don't have to navigate 76.:thumbsup2

I'm so glad this thread was started. We just discovered Branson a few months ago. We went for a weekend trip and fell in love with area. We have a room booked for the first week of August. Oldest DD is planning on joining us for a few days of that week.

Of course we are still very new to the area so I will be checking back to this thread for my ideas and information. :thumbsup2
