Hi, stranger. How are you? We've missed you. Don't know if you saw my message, but we've had to cancel our trip, so I'm counting on you to keep me updated via email or posting here.

Does this mean Casitas 5 is done?

I'm tired! The Elks wore me out!

I saw that you had to cancel your trip. :( I'm sorry that stinks.

5 is done. It was finished last week.

Just back from a May16-23 trip and the rain wasn't as bad as it looked. Our room was a waterview, but a huge tree blocked the view and I was given a refund. The offer was made to move us, but really not necessary(we were hardly in the room) and happy that the refund was given to us. That's great customer service!!!pirate:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – More than 600 teams are expected for the 36th AAU Jr. National Girls Volleyball Championships June 12-20 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, with the nation's top high school players and teams taking to the courts.

Glad things worked out - we were given a refund one year b/c trees blocked even a sliver of a water view. Time for the resorts to re-evaluate some of the water views now that the trees/palm trees have grown so much. ::yes::

Hope you had a great trip.:goodvibes

Thanks for the info. I'm going down with my DS the end of June. Looks like we'll miss this one!

Thanks so much for letting everyone know. We leave 2 weeks from today for our 30th Anniversary at CSR and really wanted Casitas 5. We've stayed in Ranchos and Cabanas, loved them, but wanted to try Casitas and 5 looks like a great location. I just put in a request a few minutes ago, so I'll keep my fingers crossed...:goodvibes

Because all of the CM's do NOT know that the rooms have been converted to queen rooms. I've read they don't tell them because ALL rooms are not converted and they don't want guests to be disappointed. My understanding is that there are only about 75 rooms left with the two double beds and these are the rooms getting the new king bed.

would you have to know if they are Casita's or Ranchos or Cabana areas?

Hi all,

Just had to post to say what a fantastic time we had at CSR once again. We stayed for a week at the end of March and it was even better than our last trip! :cool1:

The updated rooms are fantastic - so much more luxurious than before. From the bigger beds to the privacy door rather than curtain, it just makes the rooms look so classy. We loved the addition of the desk and flat screen TV which both give more workspace and more storage space to keep the odd food items. :thumbsup2

The staff bent over backwards to honour our room requests, make some last minute ADR's and bell services were so helpful too.

We managed to get our request of Cabanas (although it seems that faxes don't really work anymore, as no-one seemed to have taken note of our requests before we arrived at check-in). This was quickly sorted out though and we were moved from our original room allocation to one in the Cabanas. We stayed in 8A as we had done before and got a fantastic water view room (we had payed for a water view BTW, although last trip we were upgraded when we hadn't booked one).

We normally waited between 2 and 10 minutes for a bus, although on an EMH night at AK and going for a EMH morning at EPCOT we did wait about 15-20 mins for a bus.

We never had to stand, although those that caught the bus at El Centro sometimes did.

The Pepper Market was ok - food good but still can't understand why they shove the 10% gratuity on :headache:

Cafe Rix is great - very conveniant for refilling mugs and snack items. Also, it was great to stay by the Dig Site again and be able to refill our mugs there too.

Housekeeping was good - rooms were very clean and all our essentials were replenished well (apart from the day before check-out when we were left will no toilet roll - this was sorted quickly though). Our only complaint was that, on 2 ocassions, the room wasn't serviced until gone 3pm. I know that this happens at all the WDW resorts, but it's just so incoveniant when you've been out since 7.30am and want to relax and have a nap.

The Dig site was busy (it was over spring break!), but the quiet pools rarely had more than a handful of people in them.

There was a conference of some sort on while we were there but we only ever saw any participants in the early PM whilst eating at the Pepper Market and they certainly didn't bother us!

Even though it was Spring Break, the resort didn't seem crowded at all and during the days we all commented how quiet it was, as walking around the resort you'd normally only pass half a dozen people. That was such a bonus for us and the resot once again just seemed so peaceful. :cloud9:

All-in-all it was a wonderful stay and I'm a little sad that next trip will be spent at SSR (only because we're getting free DDP), but we're already planning a trip over to CSR whilst we're there.

Can you tell me if there are using the NEW CELEBRATE TODAY RED mugs for the resort refillable mug?

thank-you

My guess is either Casitas or Ranchos/or both. The Cabanas area is all done as are two buildings in the Casitas (4 and 5) and two buildings in the Ranchos (6A and 6B). They are currently working on Ranchos 7B and still have Ranchos 7A to go, as well as the first, second and third floors of Casitas 1, 2 and 3.

Hey all,
So I'm a Disney Hotel addict and love the pictures of the new rooms at CS. I'm going to the World in August and have 4 nights booked at the Grand Floridian. 2 Members of our party are leaving after that and my significant other and I are staying for one additional day. Currently, we're booked at ASMu, but I'm itching to upgrade to a moderate. I usually have no issues with ASMu, but after 4 nights at the Grand, it's going to be a big drop! I'd love to upgrade to CS, but I'd be looking for 2 things in particular. I'd definately want one of the newly renovated rooms, and I'd want to be insanely close to the bus stop. I'd also be paying for a standard view. What can I specifically ask for when I make the reservation to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance!

You could request Casitas 4 or 5 -- both are fully renovated, both are close to Bus Stop 2 which is the first stop picked up and dropped off. It is also close to the quiet pool and fitness center/spa. Just remember it is a "request" and not a guarantee. :)

These are the ONLY mugs that can be used at CSR (their own mug):
