Because all of the CM's do NOT know that the rooms have been converted to queen rooms. I've read they don't tell them because ALL rooms are not converted and they don't want guests to be disappointed. My understanding is that there are only about 75 rooms left with the two double beds and these are the rooms getting the new king bed.

It's around about 25 rooms now. All located in Casitas 1-3 on floors 1-3.

i read today that you can get your refillable mug refilled at the pool area... can someone confirm this?

thank you!

a little bit over a month before we are in the CSR! :cool1:

Congratulations!!! :bride::groom:

I hope you and your fiance enjoy CSR as much as DH and I do (we celebrated our 25th there last year and cannot think of any place we would have rather been than the CSR).

Sorry about the room...but glad they took care of you! Hope besides the rain you had a good time.

No problem, I'm glad they quickly offered a refund. We had a great trip and the only problem was the GF Park Fare calling my room at 10:30 pm to say sorry about not having a special dessert at dinner. I had taken care of it and didn't need to be awakened for a 2nd round of Sorry.pirate:

I'll be at CSR in 3 days!! :woohoo::yay::cheer2:

But...I have even more exciting news! :cloud9: As I was laying out clothes to pack for my May 30th trip, I was talking to DMom & DDad. This trip I am going with my friend Alice and I think they both have a touch of Disney envy.

So my DDad asks me:

How would you feel about going to WDW in late July/ early Aug? :scared1:

OMG! Um I'd feel GREAT!!

You see, my office is moving in late July/early Aug and all employees have been asked to take July 31 - Aug 9th off. Well, I was a bit disgruntled about this as it felt a bit like a waste of vacation days. I am using my other vacation days for Disney trips in May/June, Sept/Oct and Mar 2010.

So he throws a 4th Disney trip in the mix and I am ALL over it!! :rotfl:

So here are our vacation plans :rolleyes1

May 30 - June 3rd CSR standard - WDW Trip 1 (AP Rate of $108/night with tax)
July 31 - Aug 5 CSR water - WDW Trip 2 (AP Rate of $172/night with tax and extra adult fee)
Sept 24 - 29 POLY Gardenview Club Level (40% off code $360/night with tax and extra adult fee)
Sept 29 - Oct 3 CSR standard (40% off code $137/night with tax and extra adult fee)
Mar 24 - 29 CSR (Undetermined as of yet)

4 trips in 10 months pixiedust: all of which involve a stay at CSR :goodvibes

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous....especially since we had to cancel our one and only trip to CSR this year. Well, you'll just have to lay in my hammock and drink for me! :rotfl:

:woohoo: for you! One trip would make my day!! Lucky you - it's going to be a GREAT summer!!!!

Happy planning! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I can't decide what area to request, cabanas or casitas. :confused3 We would be going in late Feb, requesting 2 rooms hopefully connecting. I like the look of the casitas better but wonder if cabanas would be better for Dig Site location? My kids are both teens, we would be using busses not renting a car. Appreciate any input to help us decide.

It is kind of funny but the only time I have been at CSR was on a water park bus. The bus went around the outside loop and I thought the resort looked stark and ugly. Doesn't jibe with all these beautiful photos I see on this thread at all ! I also remember thinking how large and spread out it seemed so I guess I'm still a bit worried about that but most reviews seem to dispell worrying about that.

I've seen posts about faxing room requests in, how does that work?
How early do you send it? What should you state in the letter?

and what fax # do you send it to?

Also, when booking the trip and dinner reservations the operator asks if you have anything special to celebrate... does disney do something special for you? just wondering... THANK YOU for any help you can give!

Just wondering about experiences with DME to CSR. We've twice had great experiences with it from POP and are hoping for more of the same to CSR.

Just faxed my room request.. Keeping my fingers crossed that my mention of our 20th Wedding Anniversary will help me get that renovated room in the Casitas section :rolleyes1

Really, what a huge amount of information on this thread. I still have not read everything though. My dh was very interested in the whole ac bypass deal. :thumbsup2
It is a little nerve racking for him when I'm in the planning stages. Frankly, the more I read, the more likely "our" plans are going to change. OCD isn't a bad thing, is it?

Far from an expert but we'll be arriving on Saturday :woohoo: In addition to the room request given during reservations I also faxed a request yesterday.

The Fax # is Fax (407) 939-1001

This is our first trip to Disney so we're getting very excited!
