Hello Aubriee,

What is Pop warner? :confused3 Don't want to seem thick but from other side of Atlantic.:rotfl:

We loved CSR earlier this year.
Have a good trip.

Youth Football and Cheerleading groups. (age's 5 to 16 roughly)

Been reading all of the wonderful tips on this thread. We'll be leaving in only 17 days!!!! I called and requested a rennovated Casitas room and then they emailed me a confirmation. It says on it now "PLEASE NOTE: RETO ROOM IN CASITAS AREA" Does this mean rennovated Casistas?

Well, our plane leaves in less than 6 hours and I'm still up playing on the Dis. I'm so excited about our first stay at CSR!! I'll try to check in from my BB during the trip and I'll be sure to post pics when we get back. Thanks for all your help and answers to my many questions!!

Any live reports would be AWESOME! Have FUN!!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :yay:

I've missed you...you're already there. But hope you have a magical vacation.

Our package just arrived in the mail! Everyone is so excited - I don't know how we'll wait 30 more days. They were even excited about the luggage tags LOL. This will be our first time at CSR. I have gotten so much great info from this thread, I know it will be awesome!

Hi Everyone! I am very excited to announce that I booked our trip back to CSR this Thanksgiving. We loved the resort last year and so did our boys. We usually don't do 2 years in a row, but we had $900 in AirTran credits and couldn't let those go to waste!

Kathy - sorry to hear you "delayed" your trip. My DH has been with his employer for 2 years this November and they've already had pay/hour cuts and lay-offs so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that the economy picks up!

Has anyone eaten at the Maya Grill recently? I've been debating about having one of our dinners there. Any thoughts would be great!

I am hoping for some pixie dust at CSR when we arrive on June 26.
Hopefully, one of you will have some encouragement for me.

I bought the Buy 4/Get 3 Free package. Then my DH came home and told me that his work had to change the dates of his vacation. Then we got a great rate on airfare so we will be arriving one day earlier than originally expected. I tried to switch our arrival day up one day for the package, but if I moved it up a day, I would lose the deal. So, I had to buy a room only for the first night at CSR. We arrive early in the morning around 10:00 AM. So, we should be checking in around 11:00 AM. We are really hoping that they will release our tickets a day early.

If they can't give us just the tickets early, we will spend the day relaxing at the pool, riding the monorails, and going to Downtown Disney. We could also buy one day tickets to a water park.

So, has anyone here been able to get their tickets early?
I figure we could even plan on viewing fireworks from the Poly beach or possibly go to the Chip and Dale Sing-along at Fort Wilderness.

MDSouth - I don't think they are going to let you get your tickets early since it's a package deal.

Last Nov. it took us 2 hours to get to CSR once our plane landed (I thought it would be an hour.) We used the Magical Express and that took forever! I would think it would take awhile to get a rental car with long lines, etc. if that's what you're planning on doing. June will be crowded (sorry!) We had been up since 5:30 and were wiped by 1:30 (plus we lost an hour with the time change.) When we got to CSR, I checked us in and immediately sent the family to get lunch at PM. (We loved PM!)

If I was "stuck" without passes my first day, I would pack our swim-suits in the carry-on (Our bags took 4-1/2 hrs after landing to get to the room. I really hated ME that day.) We would eat, swim, and then do dinner. They have some delicious drinks at the bar by the pool to relax to. They also serve food by the pool so you could skip PM and swim and eat at the same time (you know what I mean.) ;)

For dinner you could do Chef Mickey's -a great way to start a trip with the characters. Both of my boys (7 & 12) loved O'Hanas and you can see the fireworks from the beach or I was really thinking about taking mine to T-Rex for dinner our first night. T-Rex in DTD isn't on the DDP so you wouldn't need to worry about that if you're doing the DDP. If you don't have ADR's yet, you might need to base your decision off what's open. T-Rex only takes walk-ups.

Not having passes the first day might be a good thing so you have to take it easy and not push the family (we did MVMCP our after traveling since 5:30 am and it was a BAD decision.)

No matter what I'm sure it will be a fun time! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Michelle. At least we still are able to go on vacation (we're going to Marco Island...using a friend's condo--free of charge). We'll just go next year and make it a longer trip! :goodvibes

HI guys/girls!

Quick check in, we arrived on Friday night at CSR, it was POURING!!! lol We checked in at 3 or so and the room was ready right away. We org requested Casitas 4/5 but when I found out 5 was just starting ren. we faxed in C4. At check in we got C5 and I asked if it has been ren and the guy told us yes. I was a little skeptical since I knew they had just started lol but to my surprise it IS a renovated room. We are in room 5420, I am guessing it would be called a water view. Below us there is a fountain ( a little hard to see due to the trees) but if you walk 2 doors down you can see it easily, however you can defintely see the "lakes" to the right by looking from our doorway. I will post pics when I get back.

There seems to be 2 conventions going on, but overall I don't feel it's crowded at all. I just posted a semi live report in the theme park folder about the rain lol, sorry can't remember the name of it off hand. Its been hit or miss showers but love my Disney Poncho!

We are off to AK today, if I can I will check in again later this week :) I am soo happy to be at the world, rain or not!!! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by while you're at Disney! So glad you have a room location you hoped for - and it must be so fresh and clean! Sounds like a great location!

Enjoy your trip - can't wait to see pictures!

Have fun!! :)

I just want to thank you for your ideas. DTD and the pool are my back-up plan. The idea to have dinner at the poolside bar is a good one! :cool1:

Thanks too to KatMark and Minnie&Nana for the pixie dust in my direction!

That would be the Elks and Pop Warner. They left today.

There is a big NCAA convention checking in today, but I think that they know how to behave themselves.
