Brainstorm: something special to do for our anniversary

My husband and I are getting the chance to go to WDW for 3 days in December. This is our first child-free trip anywhere in 4+ years, so I want to make it really special. We have some ADRs set at restaurants we love, and our anniversary present to each other is MVMCP tickets. I would still like to plan some sort of "surprise" for our anniversary while we are there. I'm thinking I'd like to try something we have never done before (it can be something creative, like a new place to watch the fireworks from that give a new perspective, a new treat to try, etc.) I am willing to pay a extra for an experience, but I am not looking to rent out a private area.

Any creative ideas? This is our first trip as DVC members and I want to try something new.

If you've never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, I'd recommend La Nouba at Disney Springs.

I've seen La Nouba 25-30 times. The theatre is well designed and there really isn't a bad seat. There are six seating categories: Golden Circle, Front and Center, Category 1, Category 2, Category 3, Category 4 (limited view). Don't bother paying for Golden Circle or Front and Center; Category 1 or 2 are just as good as far as I'm concerned.

You could take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through Fort Wilderness, and see all the campsites decorated for Christmas.

At Epcot, there's a small balcony area in Italy that you can pay to have as a private space to watch Illuminations for about $150. No food is included, although you can bring whatever you want up there with you. You'll have the space for 30 minutes before Illuminations starts until it's over. We did it this past March, and it was really fun and different.

For our anniversary dh and I did the Epcot Aqua Seas tour, then that night we ate at Coral Reef right next to the tank we were swimming in. It was pretty amazing.

Brilliant idea! DH and I are taking our first solo trip since 1978 celebrating our 45th anniversary and his retirement. We're already planning on an evening at Ft. Wilderness and I'd totally forgot this was available! Thanks for reminding me...now to figure out a time for reservations! We'll have an "extra"...have a friend from West Palm Beach joining us for the day so I'll check with him and get his thoughts. Thanks again!
