Boycott Starbucks in Magic Kingdom

Doesn't bother me, and the sign is up now and yes, I've seen it, and no, I don't consider it an insult. I think the building looks good with its new paint, actually. I won't be boycotting, but I don't drink coffee so I won't be in there much anyway. And I figure Disney has been welcoming companies into the parks for years and even putting up their logos, so apparently the issue is with this particular company.



Apparently that is what it's going to be...the concept art is still floating around the web. The employees will be Disney cast members, not Starbuck's employees. They did NOT take the Main Street Bakery away. It's still there. It'll just be improved on the inside (I can't bring myself to be sentimental about the old line and payment setup and the small area to sit - it wasn't pretty.)

Me too...sure the cinnamon rolls were good but that place was a pain to navigate.

i have to be honest, i am shocked at how this thread turned out. i so thought i was going to be the only one HAPPy that i will be able to start my day off with a good cup of coffee and no longer need to carry my VIA packs around. Disney has always been about being able to enjoy the best that is being offered, it's about time they got on board with coffee.

How many years has guests been complaining about coffee humm??? Then Minnie dose somthing about it and the guests are still complianing. There must be some unhappy people who come to Disney. i used live near two starbucks and i miss it dearly. I love starbucks and i love that my two great loves have joined up. IF YOU DON'T LIKE STARBUCKS DON'T DRINK IT. That smiple.

I'm so excited for this too! I always make a beeline for some Starbucks at Seaworld, and now MK having it too is perfect! On our trip earlier this month, we got into the Rope Drop mentality and good coffee is going to seriously come in handy from here on out I remember a few days on the last trip, forcing down the awful coffee from Sleepy Hollow and using up nalf their sugar and creamer just to make it drinkable. Bring on the caramel macchiatos!

If I thought boycotting Starbucks in MK would get me a dunkin donuts on Main Street, I'd be right there with you OP. But since I doubt that would happen, convert me over pass the caramel lattes and call me a Starbucks girl. Anything is better than what I've been drinking on Main St all these years.

I will be first in line at the Starbucks coffee shops. And I don't even like their coffee.

However, when compared to the god-awful swill they've been trying to pass off as coffee in Disney for ages, Starbucks is very, very welcome addition.

I admit I wasn't thrilled with the idea at first, but I'm fairly confident it will be done in a tasteful manner. I'd much rather "boycott" the Coke products all over the place...I'm a Pepsi drinker

Joffrey's will be at the resorts. They are a good company on their own; if you've ever enjoyed a latte at that "coffee" stand just outside the Epcot gates, or at the stand outside of Animal Kingdom (or many standalone places inside the parks, like the coffee/treat cart outside of Canada), you've had Joffrey's.

Personally, I love Starbucks coffee & am looking forward to a real Iced Latte!
We visited the original while in Seattle last summer.
Yeah, they are this big corporation now, but don't forget they started out with just one lil store in Seattle.
I congratulate them on being a lil business with a product that lead them down the road to success.
Why, oh why, all the corporation bashing?
