OK... Me and my son have our schedule...

April 8 pack and get a hair cut
April 9 get on the airplane
April 10 forget the rest of the world exists

If you bring a case of water and have it labeled with your cabin number when you arrive at the port will the porters take it along with your luggage? I remember a while ago asking DCL that question and they said the porters would take it but reading one of the post it says you have to lug it around until your room is ready. Does anyone know the real deal?
Checking a case of water is a controversial topic. See differing viewpoints. My personal thoughts on the beverages is that they would take it ... however ... leaving a case of water or other liquid refreshments in the hallway may subject it to sticky fingers.
Ok so all the talk of the princess night and tiara's made me decide to go to the mall...where I ended up buying a new dress for that night, a tiara, earrings, and a bracelet. Any excuse to go shopping I guess![]()
)I just got off the phone with Disney because I had the same question. Busses start at 10:00 am and the last one leaves at 2:00 pm. The buses do not have a set departure time. When the bus is full it leaves. They always have a bus waiting to leave to the ship, so as soon as one leaves the next bus starts loading. We are from the west cost and want to sleep in so they recommend to catch the bus at 1:00 pm and not wait until the last one at 2:00 pm.
I'm impressed how organized some of you are, and you are already packed. I haven't even started thinking about packing. Of course I generally use packing as an excuse to expand my wardrobe, so usually hit the stores the week before the cruise. Dan will drop off the drycleaning the Monday before and then I fill the garment bag.
I wish the rain would go away, but at least it's not snowing.

I always get to a certain point where I have planned to nines and then say, 'I have a credit card, if all else fails I can buy it.' Just makes me feel a little less stressed out in case I miss something. Last trip to WDW I forgot my daughter's toothbrush. She was not impressed. Hey, Brack, I have a lot of respect for the Salvation Army, and look forward to your telling me more about it!,

I'm reading my posts - and I sound like a five year old kid with a zillion questions!

Brack: I too have a great deal of respect for this organization. You must be proud to work for them.
It has been 28 years now as a vocation (never want to call it a job)

I spent 45 minutes stirring a roux to achieve that caramel-colored peanut butter consistency and NOT burn it, but, man, that's a lot of work. Makes you appreciate a good gumbo. Congrats on expanding your culinary repertoire
A helpful hint I just learned about Magic Kingdom (and probably everything else in life) - Go Left. Most people are right handed and go right when entering the park. If you go left, you'll have Adventureland (and probably Frontierland) with fewer crowds. (I went on a tour when I was there last week).
And I wish I had been a little earlier to the park - I caught the end of the CMs singing, dancing and otherwise welcoming people into the park from the top of the train station at the entrance to the park (seen from the outside).
Watch for Tinkerbell during Wishes fireworks - that is a live person flying through the air - oh, I mean Tinkerbell actually flies from Cinderella's castle during the show. Work your way into a spot in front of the castle, not too close, for some spectacular fireworks.

Hi, Brack! Do you LIKE the alarm, or is it the cookies and coffee?I have them delivered just before we go to bed, and the carafe keeps the coffee plenty hot. DW NEEDS it in the AM, and I don't have to run up to the beverage station, and there's not even a 10 minute wait for the room server.

Where did you find a tiara? I've been looking, but most of the ones I've seen are $15 or more (other than the ones with feathers).

We're on SWISS on Sunday also - BCN to Zurich at 9:45, then on to JFK. Is yours direct DCN to Dulles? Is the Best Western IN the city, or by the airport. It's the last reservation I have left to make, and am leaning towards being at an airport hotel to avoid the trip in the morning on Sunday.
We plan to tour some more of Barcelona after we leave the ship Saturday. Any ideas on dealing with our luggage? Should we go to an airport hotel, check in, and return to the city? Would that waste too much time? Are there any in-town locker or luggage storage options?

I found one at a place called Icing. It was just shy of $15 but I figure it can go to one of my little sisters after I use it. They all seemed to be about the same price.
I was beginning to wonder if my formal dress for Princess night was going to be too formal. It's poofy and fantastic. Dan says there is no such thing as being overdressed. ..

Do this for the queues as well. It particularly works well at the POTC ride.
I was beginning to wonder if my formal dress for Princess night was going to be too formal. It's poofy and fantastic. Dan says there is no such thing as being overdressed. It would be okay on HAL, but I haven't seen too many poofy dresses in formal pictures on the DISboards. But if there are tiaras, my dress is perfect. I don't think I'll bring a tiara, but I might bring my vine head piece.
