I know it's 18 pages - but - have you considered only printing one page at a time and seeing if it can handle that - do all the odds and go back and put the evens on the backs?

I've tried that also, but no success:confused3. I will attempt it again sometime tomorrow. She did an awesome job...hope I can get it to work:confused:

Ok ...I tried again...at first it appeared that I was not going to get any further than before. I did the single page approach ( Lynne's suggestion )- there was a LONG delay with nothing, then all of a sudden it printed page #3 ( I was doing odd pages first ). I then tried page 5 - slight pause than it loaded and printed:cool1:. Each page printed faster and faster. It must just take FOREVER to intially load on my system. By the time I did the even pages, I was able to do the whole sequence at once ( not page by page ) and it was really quick.:banana::banana:

I did attempt page by page previously, without luck, maybe it was loading that whole time:confused3.

Good Luck DISCruiseNewbie - give it another whirl - with a lot of patience:sad2:

oh.my.goodness. Thank goodness I'm a light sleeper because in the middle of the night I heard a pop. I thought it was the wind and then I heard running water. I peeked downstairs and it sounded like a water fountain in the middle of our home. Dh is out of town, so I ran downstairs and went straight to the dishwasher because it truly sounded like Splash Mountain in my kitchen. Sure enough the hose under the sink popped and water was *everywhere*. My first attempt at turning off the valve did not work... was fussing with another valve.:headache: ran upstairs to get my phone, ran back downstairs, dropped blackberry in water, and then was able to turn off the valve. Unbelievable! If this would have happened while we were away for the day :sad2:...I can't even think about this happening while we are crossing the Atlantic...it would have severely damaged our home. :scared1:

Now I can't sleep and I have a headache.:headache:

Hey Mommy - I did get my tickets to print - by using legal paper. Now the top and bottom of the page isn't cut off.

Mommy to 3 Princesses - Wow. I'm incredibly sorry for your mess. I'm impressed that you even knew where to find the water valve. Yes, I know that it's something I'm supposed to know....

Lynne, don't you ever go to bed?

As for me, 2 suitcases packed, everything pretty much ready to slop into the 3rd suitcase tomorrow. I'm going to bed. Good-night all.

We were able to fit the kids' suitcase inside of another one, so IF I need it, I'll have an extra bag when we get to Europe. If not, then we'll keep the smaller bag inside of the bigger one like it is now.!

Now that worked out great and I love that idea!

I doubt it. I fixed some stuff in the printed copies (Krisann's name added to the digital scrapbooking workshop info, and the number 13 in April 13 was missing from the activities planner). These are minor and I don't want to risk breaking the link on Google Docs by replacing the version that's there. Unless Lynn got a date for BUNCO, I think I'd like to leave the mini-nav as is.

Dee, I keep forgetting to thank you for all your hard work on the Mini Nav. It looks great and mine are printed and packed, ready to be put to good use.

Hey I'm an Earl of Sandwich ADDICT and my whole purpose for going to DTD glad I'm not alone in liking the Earl!

OK, but WHICH sandwich do you crave? This inquiring mind needs to know (for this inquiring stomach).

Well. we fly out tomorrow. I told ds he has to go to school and we'll pick him up a little early to go to the airport (more for the peace of his being out of the house than for a concern for school attendance). Today was going to be last minute errands before packing tomorrow.

Are you ready for this pathetic revelation? I took ds and dh to the passport office weeks and weeks ago to get their passports. Luckily mine was still valid since I've done a couple of medical tourism trips to Bangkok. And I knew just where it was stored...

I've been searching for it ever since. My house has never been so organized, as a result of my going through everything. I knew it was here, so didn't even consider declaring it lost.

Sunday my dd informed me that the time had come to bite the bullet and pay some extraordinary amount of money to get a new passport super-fast.

Yesterday I made one more effort, but still didn't find it. So today I spent the entire day assembling documents, getting photo'd, waiting in line at passport office where they put everything in a sealed envelope which I took to FedEx who overnighted it to Chicago where someone will hand-walk it through and overnight it to me in Kissimmee. I'll have it on Thursday.

Are you ready for how much this procrastination cost me? Sit down, and prepare to feel very very self-righteous for being so much better prepared and organized yourself....$250. on top of the regular passport fees!!!!!

Plus the entire day, which means the errands didn't get done. Oh well, there's always tomorrow until 2:00.

One suitcase packed. Lots of piles of stuff still on the floor ...happy evening to all,
Ann

Sorry about the passport, that is awful and not a stress needed at this point.

Well the Earl got rid of my favorite sandwich, Beef N Bleu. However I love to get kids grill cheese and tomato soup and really love the turkey and cranberry. Pretty much a total Earl Freak.

I'm a nurse and do private medical concierge. Mostly for patients traveling to Central America, Costa Rica specifically. Love it, love the patients, love the docs and the care and seen more advanced, better stuff than anything here. Have met some of the most incredible people. Never been to Thailand since Spanish is my only extra language :)

I'll try to make this quick: last month at Coronado Springs for my DB's convention. He had a horrible breakfast experience at Maya Grill - bad service, bad food... The next morning I was going to join him (& SIL) for the Market, but I suggested we try Boma buffet at AKL instead, though it would be cutting it close to get back for the meetings. He was enthralled; loved the food, the waiter from Jamaica; he promised the waiter he would be back the next day - and they did go back - I couldn't have that much food again to start the day. Am so glad to be able to share these fun places with them. They would have been stuck with a bad taste (sorry) of Disney.
.

Yum Boma, double yum Jiko. Tons of food and so good.

I can't even think about this happening while we are crossing the Atlantic...it would have severely damaged our home. :scared1:

Now I can't sleep and I have a headache.:headache:

So sorry about the water mess.

...Lynne, don't you ever go to bed?...

I was determined that the taxes would be done - no more hanging over my head. I thought I had 5 sets to do - but a stay-at-home daughter doesn't have the "income" that requires filing. And the tax forms were in a box for my dad's/late mom's. Estimated for him was a shocker, though. He goes from married filing jointly to single for 2010 and the tax burden doubles :scared1: I guess they consider that married with the same amount was 1/2 for each of them. Little do the tax people know that I am the one who spends most of the money :rolleyes1

To answer your question, don't I ever go to bed? Not at normal hours. I was born a night-owl. As a toddler, my parents blocked off the floor furnace (why were they ever put into houses? - what a safety hazard) and let me play in the living room with everybody's toys while the rest of the family were getting ready for bed. When I went to work in the hospital during nursing school and then as an RN, I worked the night shift. That pretty much messed up my system. Now I go to sleep at 4-5-6-7-8 in the morning and sleep til 12-1-2-3. I almost could be working a night shift. But then I would be working. Ugghh.

Now we've really got something to talk about during our month at Sea. I love travel stories. And especially neat job travel stories. I did one year of regular travel nursing - went to Columbia, SC and Raleigh, NC with a 4-month stint in Honolulu wedged between. That's where my Hawaii habit began. (Since we vacationed there in Jan, my DB & SIL keep talking about where they would to live when they move to Hawaii. And my DB thought this would be his only trip to Hawaii.)

Wow. only 2 more sleeps till we go, and sooooo much to do (not much time for DIS). Safe travels to those of you getting to lead and look for to meeting you all:thumbsup2

HaHa, get to see lots of neat stuff when you are a traveler. I usually only go for a month at a time and have been home for six months and totally missing it. Pay is not great because I spend whatever I am making there having fun, exploring. But usually I'm lucky and able to take a kid or two. Been great for them. We shall have to "do lunch" on the cruise :)

Morning everyone!

My DD5 woke up this morning and shouted THREE MORE DAYS! I can't believe it. We're staying at an airport hotel of Friday night (pricelined two rooms for $90 including parking if we want it for the whole cruise!) so we have two more sleeps at our house.

Got my big presentation to our local City Council out of the way - one more big meeting and a LOT of little tasks and I can walk away from the office for a couple of weeks. Also think we made the decision to offer our open full-time position to someone, so I know THAT'S been taken care of.

This morning won't be in the office, though, as FEMA has contacted us to do a walk-through at the house today. Stressful to have to take care of it today, but it will be good to know it's done. Our homeowners coverage will take care of $10,000 worth of damage, but I suspect we're going above that so she would be able to either start the process for a FEMA grant OR to activate our FEMA flood insurance (yes, we were insured - we were VERY lucky.) That will help loads with coverage caps and would help to relieve some anxiety before we left. Contractors started the demo process to remove soaked drywall yesterday, which was also good. Both our twins are asthmatic and we were very worried about leaving a wet basement for two weeks with no airflow. Talk about mold!

I did my big CVS trip last night.... I am now a walking pharmacy. :) Today I'm getting my hair cut and colored and cleaning my gross house so that I won't be mortified when DMIL arrives tomorrow. (I know that she's out there, lurking, and no doubt thinking 'Don't clean for me!' but I want to at least try to pick up a bit.)

I also told DH that tonight he HAS to start packing. We'll see if he does it or if I cave and pack for him (like every other trip).

Oh, well, must get the kids dressed and off to school so I can start my crazy day.

I'll try to be back later to help us get to Part 5!

Erin

P.S. Ann, I used to work on an international nonprofit training program, and our dept head travelled internationally 75% of the time. He actually lost his passport twice while I worked there, which cracked us all up because he used it constantly. But even better that losing it, he once headed off to meet with the president of Brazil and got all the way to Miami before he realized he didn't have his passport with him. Given the high-level meeting, and some amazing work on the part of his admin, he got special permission to fly into the country without a passport and they overnighted it to him there so he could get home. Having travelled with him several times, I can attest the man needed a keeper!

Ahh... Desmond. "See you in another life, brother." Glad we didn't miss his episode while cruising.

But Disney owns ABC - I want my episodes while at Sea. I might even make it back to the ship from Seville in time to catch it.

I'll also miss Amazing Race & Survivor. And always Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. That's my Must See List.

Auntlynne we are right there for you. My husband wants me to find out if they are going to be showing lost and what time and what channel. Worst case scenario we have them on the DVR when we get home.

I am also a Survivor and Amazing Race fan. I was watching this last weeks episode of Amazing Race and thinking that this is the last one for a couple of weeks. Again I LOVE  my DVR!!!!

Welcome back Steve and Donna! I will add you to my FE drop off list and Mini Nav :) See you at the airport!

I NEED LOST !!!!! (and love desmond and Dan)
I dont know what I will do If they do NOT have the episodes on board.... I cannot bear to think of it.... well that is a reason to bring the puter...

(although I am not sure Disney internet speed will "stream" a show fast enough to really watch.) Maybe I will call and ask....

OMG....I have to divvy up the adult FE's... close all the bags and put the lables on them....pack and clean the house....and I'd still like to get one more pair of Capris but.....
WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Why am I unable to print Stephanie's Journal? Everytime I attempt it, it loads the first page and eventually prints page one and then freezes. It never un-freezes, usually I have to power down. I am so inept at computers...but this should have been simple.

I took mine to Staples and they printed it in minutes. (Much better than my old color printer would have and it conly cost about $7 to print and bind.)
