I was determined that the taxes would be done - no more hanging over my head. I thought I had 5 sets to do - but a stay-at-home daughter doesn't have the "income" that requires filing. And the tax forms were in a box for my dad's/late mom's. Estimated for him was a shocker, though. He goes from married filing jointly to single for 2010 and the tax burden doubles

I guess they consider that married with the same amount was 1/2 for each of them. Little do the tax people know that I am the one who spends most of the money
To answer your question, don't I ever go to bed? Not at normal hours. I was born a night-owl. As a toddler, my parents blocked off the floor furnace (why were they ever put into houses? - what a safety hazard) and let me play in the living room with everybody's toys while the rest of the family were getting ready for bed. When I went to work in the hospital during nursing school and then as an RN, I worked the night shift. That pretty much messed up my system. Now I go to sleep at 4-5-6-7-8 in the morning and sleep til 12-1-2-3. I almost could be working a night shift. But then I would be working. Ugghh.
Now we've really got something to talk about during our month at Sea. I love travel stories. And especially neat job travel stories. I did one year of regular travel nursing - went to Columbia, SC and Raleigh, NC with a 4-month stint in Honolulu wedged between. That's where my Hawaii habit began. (Since we vacationed there in Jan, my DB & SIL keep talking about where they would to live when they move to Hawaii. And my DB thought this would be his only trip to Hawaii.
