Will you all be at WDW on Sunday? :goodvibes We're going after church to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours just to say that we have been on an Easter (another "bucket list" item) :thumbsup2

Brack - you make me laugh! I hope the TA is on your 'bucket list' too! Wow! To think! Two in one week! :cool1:

Our suit cases are filing up fast! I am actually getting nervous that we won't be able to fit everything on our list. I am considering leaving my crochet project behind to save room. :scared1:

Mrs. Gumdrop - forgot to say - I hope you enjoy your first trip to the Magic Kingdom! Wishing you good weather and short lines!:wizard:

So excited to meet you guys! That's need you passed through. I guess you were on the Hutchinson River Parkway?? My parents have a summer house in Montauk. We do the LIE out to the Hamptons a lot. Maybe we can do a reunion out there this summer?? Can't wait to meet your son. He can't stay home he will miss out on way to much fun. :cool1:

Actually drove thru Pelham on my way to New Rochelle (account's office).

I'm wondering, as I begin to think about packing & face the inevitable nightmare of not being able to pack all my SHOES :scared1: ...

Since there are no hosiery/nylons police, and there are no makeup police.....

what about white, open toed sandals or espadrilles...BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY??

On the west coast we don't follow many color guidelines, since spring hits earlier, and well, just because.... :hippie: but how is everyone handling white shoes (I guess I mean just the ladies, and not in the gym or on the jogging trail ;))???

bev

I'm not wearing white shoes for not other reason than I don't need them for the trip but I am bringing white pants (I usually don't break those out before Labor day either). My DD will be wearing her white shoes...

On the 26th, I'm thinking about going to the British Museum and St. Paul's Cathedral. If I still have time, I might drop down to Westminster. :rolleyes1

Kristi

We are going to London after our cruise as well, for three days! On the 26th we're taking a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. We'll probably hit the British Museum the next (and final) day.

Hi,

WE are all packed and ready to go to bed...
Tomorrow at 5am the alarm clock will get us in the mood (maybe it takes me until 7am to wake up...)

I don't know if we have internet the upcoming week so we will see you all in a week....

Safe travels!

BTW - I can't wait to read your blog for the podcast on the Med cruise!

Speaking of bucket list, A week in and around London is on mine.

I am in Florida. We wear white all the time. So since we are leaving from Florida I say follow that rule.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 It is indeed on my "Bucket List" along with meeting all you guys!

:surfweb: Finished and printed my taxes ... all of them including this year's estimated.

I will still probably wait until next Friday to mail them off. :rolleyes1 It is a conviction of mine to not pay them any sooner than I have to. pirate: Some years I am at the post office just before midnight on the day they are due. :guilty:

I'm not the "police" just a self-appointed militia :rotfl:

It'll be after Easter - that's when the white shoes come out. I'm from the South and know the Memorial/Labor Day guidelines, but weather is the determining factor in my book.

Bev, I think you meant to say:
"Dee finished & posted it last night."

Woody

I didn't even notice - cause I didn't have to make the Mini-Nav :cutie:

...The "dead weight" needs to go, but not until I get back. Oh well, a few drinks of the day will help me forget about work. :wizard:...

Let them find out you are needed!

I finally started packing!!! YAY! ...

Everytime you post, I wonder how many glasses did it take ? :) So glad to see you've gotten on here 10 times - makes me think you are really excited :cool1:

We are going to London after our cruise as well, for three days! On the 26th we're taking a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. We'll probably hit the British Museum the next (and final) day.

My DB/SIL said Stonehenge was surprisingly small and is roped off.

Bath, on the other hand, is a town I love. Went there in the rain; didn't dampen the fun. If you get a chance, tea at the Jane Austen Tea Room is superb - we are still talking about it 2 years later. I don't like restaurant cake - too sweet, density/mositure ratios are usually wrong. But they know exactly how to make a wide variety. We drove in to the outer parking area and then rode the bus into town (I suppose you are doing a tour) then walked around town. If emma'smom is a shopper, just sit back and relax - it's chock full of stores.

I've been to the British Museum in 1987 and 2008. Lots of great antiquities that the British plundered during their Empire Days, including Greek temples and the Rosetta Stone.

My nieces were 17, 15, and 12.5 when we were in England - but we had to go to Legoland for them. It's just right for your kids' ages. It's located in Windsor (we also went to the area around the castle - that's pretty neat too).

Cheerio!

It is time to pull the trigger on the Awards Ballot. I will accept suggestions or changes until 9:00 am est Saturday morning.

I will hand out ballots at the Meet up and they can be dropped off at my stateroom door.

Thanks Everyone!

FINALLY decided on my formalwear and semi-formal, which also means that I've narrowed down some of my shoe choices. I weighed them and those 3 dresses are only 2 lbs combined - yay me!

OK one last post ... :confused3

We have been on a diet since September and really do not want to go backwards. So we are planning out a strategy for eating well but staying within our Weight Watcher points system .... somewhat. :thumbsup2 Plus more exercise than normal. :yay:

Yeah, we planned to exercise more on our last cruise and we actually did! So we'll probably be able to keep that up on the sea days at least. It seems easier when you don't have so many other things taking up your time - like work! ;)

Since there are no hosiery/nylons police, and there are no makeup police.....

We're in FL too so we wear white all year round. I think white is definitely okay for cruise-wear and in tropical climes no matter what time of year it is. :thumbsup2

MINI-NAV IS UP!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! This is great! Thanks, Dee, for doing this!

As you probably have gathered, we have never done the DISboard thing. I am absolutely amazed at what you dedicated DISers do! You are such a blessing to the rest of us!

I printed an bound the travel log too. It came out great. It will be a wonderful surprise for DD.

Speaking of bucket list, A week in and around London is on mine.

We were determined when we booked this cruise (18 months ago!) that we would spend a few extra days in Europe, somewhere...based on the best flights for retunring home. For the longest time it looked like Dublin (Aer Lingus) was going to be the best, then Germany. Then in January we found a very good price on flights on Air Berlin from London to JFK (with a stop in Dusseldorf). So London it was!

Thanks for the info...DW and I went to London for our honeymoon over 14 years ago and it will be fun to get back. That said, I have been to two places in Europe in my life - England and Spain! I was kind of hoping it woul dwork out that we'd end up someplace different, but oh well....I can't complain when we are about to embark on this great trip! :cool1:

We are taking one of the DCL excursions in Madeira (the western madeira one), and it lasts until about 7pm. We have main dining which is before we return to the ship. Can we shift to late dining for this one night only? I ask becuase it is pirate night and our DD7 will want to dress up in her pirate outfit for dinner prior to the party.

Thanks!
