I gave myself an incentive to pack early -- I would treat myself to a movie.

I'm practically done packing, and felt I needed a reward. So tonight I went to the Paul McCartney concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Awesome!

Oh awesome...so jealous! Almost saw him last year in NY (was "this close")! lol And back at the Hollywood Bowl!! I remember when I was "younger" & the Beatles all played at the HB. My friends who went were taken by their moms!! Cool moms...

Threw some undies in a zip-lock yesterday. Does that count as packing? .... Will color hair this weekend so you all don't have to see my white "skunk roots".
Still not sure exactly what I'll be packing. I always bring too much. Will try to be good this time....

Agreed on all!!!!! I think that definitely counts as packing & I'm putting off the hair color another week so it lasts me through vacation, lol

Putzing around on the DCL web site, and saw that they have added the concierge suits to the online booking system. Easier to book them, but apparently not easier to afford them . . .

I had the same problem but with AT&T an my blackberry. Then I went to the store to upgrade phones (contract was up anyway) the guy at the store said it is cheaper to just buy a throw away phone when I get there than pay the monthly fee and the per minute fee for international.

Another option.... I hadn't considered that one.....

We too have been "dieting" leading up to the cruise. I can't wait to go 2 weeks without having to cook and without having to think - "how many calories is in this?" because I'm on vacation!!!

OK one last post ...

We have been on a diet since September and really do not want to go backwards. So we are planning out a strategy for eating well but staying within our Weight Watcher points system .... somewhat. Plus more exercise than normal.

My option .... turn my phone off and lock it in the safe. Turn it back on when the plane lands at Dulles.

So excited to meet you guys! That's need you passed through. I guess you were on the Hutchinson River Parkway?? My parents have a summer house in Montauk. We do the LIE out to the Hamptons a lot. Maybe we can do a reunion out there this summer?? Can't wait to meet your son. He can't stay home he will miss out on way to much fun.

Passed thru your town yesterday on the way home from the Hamptons and stopping at the account to drop off tax stuff and thought about you and your kind offer to do a play or something for the kids. I told my son he can stay home with dad and the sitter if he would rather do his play/musical than go on vacation...he said he is still thinking it over!

We actually leave home in a week because of a conference in Orlando. We are attending the first two days and then being driven to the port .... picking our DS and DDIL up from the airport on the way.

Too much left to do.

Just got back from a conference in Orlando. Thought I wouldn't get a chance to go to the Magic Kingdom - but figured out a way to sneak away for a few hours on Tuesday evening. So much fun. Had the best time! My DD asked if I had brought home any grim grinning ghosts!

I'm wondering, as I begin to think about packing & face the inevitable nightmare of not being able to pack all my SHOES ...

Since there are no hosiery/nylons police, and there are no makeup police.....

what about white, open toed sandals or espadrilles...BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY??

On the west coast we don't follow many color guidelines, since spring hits earlier, and well, just because.... but how is everyone handling white shoes (I guess I mean just the ladies, and not in the gym or on the jogging trail )???

My Mom followed guidelines like that but does anyone really do this anymore? Certainly even if they do these rules are null and void on a cruise!
