I received a letter from DCL, "Helpful Hints for Your Trans-Atlantic Voyage."
Anyone else get one?

One of the topics is foreign currency exchange. It says there is a currency exchange widow at the cruise terminal at Port of Barcelona. Currency exchange is also available on board at Guest Services.

I'm glad that you had one weekend that was totally jail-free.

Are 14 nights on this cruise going to feel like a prison sentence? Especially since we can't travel farther than 964 feet, eat in large rooms with rowdy crowds, and return to sleep in our little rooms?

If the MAGIC is prison Lock ME up.

On a sad note, I had to put my cat down this evening. She had led a wonderful, long life (16 years) - but mother nature finally won out. I will miss her terribly!

Brack... I found a nice gently worn Tuxedo jacket for formal nights for my son at the "Salvation Boutique" this weekend... a seriously good score!

It is a great place to shop. I was in another town and took time to visit the local "Salvation Boutique". I found a brand new tropical shirt to wear when I lose another 10 pounds!

the 6 inch scar on my knee just isn't "pretty" with anything other than shorts.

I've got a nice scar on my knee too Kristi but I still wear shorts and dresses...we'll have to compare

I was going to comment about this being a new shipboard activity and that my hip replacement 5 years ago left a "nice" scar but then I decided maybe we really don't want all of us to compare scars.

I am so sorry to hear this. It is one of the worst feelings in the world to lose a pet that you love so much. Our poodle passed away suddenly just before Christmas. He was a part of family for almost 17 years. I still cry everyday when I see things that remind me of him.

I will be going hoseless as well. My legs are pale, scary white, but so are my arms, my back, my neck...etc. I'm a geek that lives inside, and uses SPF 70 when in the sun.

I'll probably leave my formal sneakers at home.

8 knee surgeries!!

Wow I've had one surgery I broke both kneecaps and shattered the femur in my left leg in a car accident. And then a second surgery where they took one screw out and forcefully bent my leg as I was having issues with that.

Personally I'm just happy I'm alive and can walk it was a bad accident due to some idiot (not me) not paying attention to freeway traffic.

Yes, they are very fun, comfortable, and can dance all night in them (vs heels), but I will probably be bringing my heels on the trip, since they are lighter and I need better sneaks for the port days.
