What dry erase board? If my memory serves me correctly, this concept was never finalized. There was dicussion about two variations - but neither had much interest.

Yes....I would love to have this finalized too.

IMHO I think that we should have 1 (and a very small maybe for 2) MAIN boards. I think it will get too hard to have boards on each floor always updated.

I have the large dry earse board I can bring. Our of our staterooms is right outside the midship elevators on Deck 7. I am happy to have the board there or if someone else has another location or wants to keep up with the board then they are more then happy to use it.

I can personalize the board with stickers showing that it is the "DIS" board. I can print out our logo and stuff and make stickers out of it for the board.

I think one central location is super important for all information to be able to be passed.

I agree.

Since Stephanie (Brooklyn) has volunteered, I think we should let her handle this as she sees fit.

Perhaps we can add a note in the Mini-Navigator in the FE section: "Before distributing FE gifts, please see the DIS dry erase board at cabin #xxxx for cabin updates."

I like the idea of one central location as well.

Can't believe we are leaving in so few days! Guess that means I should make a list or two and pull out the suitcases huh? Yeah, that's the kind of time we've been having around here. Hospitals, police officers, kids issues. . .Crazy stuff. Seems to be the NORM for this group!

Cold and dreary here today so not feeling very springish yet but there are buds all around on the trees and flowers popping up.

And the big news today for us? Wonders never cease it seems or perhaps I should say MAGIC still happens. My TA just sent an e-mail. We've just been moved up to Deck7, new room number is 7008, I will change it on google doc.'s Little bit nervous about forward location but we will give it a try. Sheesh, just when I settled into my midship middeck cat11 room.

And I am now back to reading but not posting so much this cruise. Still looking forward to all the extra fun planned here on the DIS once we get onboard tho!

I agree, sounds like a great idea! One central location would be my vote.

So does anybody have any idea of what the water temps will be like at Castaway Cay? I am hoping that it won't be too cold.

Finally we are suppose to get in the 80's here in Florida this week. This has been the coldest winter for us in over 60 years!!!!

Steven,

You clearly want it your way. So go ahead and organize that.

Personally it makes no sense to have more then one board. Or maybe one on deck 7 and one on deck 2. The ship is really not that big. Any room on any deck right outside the midship elevators seems convinent for everyone.

If we have one on each deck then that means that many more people who need to get the memo and update their indiviudal board. The boards will all be updated at different times of the day, if even on that day. Besides decks 1 & 2 I know that I will pass by each of the other decks numerous times every day. When I was on deck 1 I passed by all decks numerous times a day. When a room is right outside a midship elevator it makes the most sense that the most people will see it. So if you are on deck 9, stop at deck 7 and then down to where ever you are going next.

It makes sense to me. :confused3

Last time I checked the ship is not that big. Yes, maybe from front to back it requires a little more walking but from top to bottom you can really get from one point to the other really quickly.

Just use the time to "cougar watch"

--Which reinforces my point about separate board for CHANGES in activities. HOW MANY notes can you fit on a 8x10 dry erase board? We've gone through hundreds of pages on this thread about changes in staterooms ... imagine that on a dry erase board!

Okay, now you will have 100 DISers running to one stateroom door to check for stateroom changes. What ever happened to the 3:00 - 3:45 meeting at Promenande Lounge?

The board I have is 11x11 and can fit a lot of information. How about you have a board on your deck and then we have one other central one for those of us who don't mind traveling.

Last TA we did it this way. It was one board, midship, deck 6, and no one seemed to have a problem seeing it, reading the information, ect.
