Hi all, we are going to WDW in November 2010 and after seeing all the info about the bouncebacks I have a few questions...
1. Do you usually get a bounceback offer?
2. Does it matter what hotel you stay at? We will be at Pop.
3. If you get a bounceback do you need to pay for it at the time or do you just put a deposit down?
4. Is the bounceback usually for the same time of year that you are already there for? Or can it be used anytime?

Thanks for your help here, I would love to finish one trip and start planning another!

Many times there is a BB offer in the room. If you don't see one, call down to the desk and ask, if they don't know, then call Housekeeping/catch someone with a cart and ask them if they have any (they put the cards in the rooms)

It doesn't matter which hotel you are at.

You need to put down a deposit (either 1 night's stay for room only, or $200 for a package).

The dates vary as to when the offer is for the next year. During the early fall, during FD the BB is usually for FD next year. Last year, in March the BB was for this past fall. Others are posting that the current BB is for discounts for this year.

If you don't see a card, you can call the extension 8844 from your resort room and ask them if there is a current offer, and what it is. You must book the BB before you check out! However, once you get home you can adjust dates & resorts & such. Many have posted that once they got home they needed different dates and they call the regular reservations line & make the changes.

Awsome!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info! Now I just need to make sure that I save an extra 200 bucks so when we get a bounceback I can tell my hubby that we already have the cash so why not!!!!!!! From what it seems the BB offer is for around 6 months later? That would be great to get to go back so soon!

If you book a bounce back on the phone in your room ,and want to pay with cash instead of using a credit card, do you go down to the lobby and make the $200 deposit in cash at the front desk?

Ok I am staying at POP Feb 20-22 before a cruise...was wondering if anyone has been there lately to know what the bounceback dates are? thx

We were at the GF 12/17 - 12/24 and had a BB offer in the room. Our offer was good all the way through 12/24/10, with a $200.00 deposit. Although we don't know the exact dates we'll be able to go back in December 2010, when I called the extension number prior to our check-out, the reservationist suggested I book a longer period of dates and I can shorten the time when we know more specific dates. She said it is easy to take off days, but once you have checked out, they can't add dates to the reservation.

carolinatennisgirl...thank you very much.....what was the bb offer? Thx

I would not even call the front desk. Whether there be a bb offer in the room or not, call 8844. You don't need the flyer/card. You just need to call from your room phone prior to check out. I have read posts where guests have gone to great lengths to get a bb flyer before calling. And I have not understood why. :confused3 Just call.
You will need to make a $200 deposit. And you can book for whatever type of resort you wish. Meaning if you are staying in a value, you can even book a future stay at a deluxe resort. You do not have to book for the same time frame the next year, or the same resort. You could even be staying at a value resort with no dining plan, and book a bounceback at a moderate with any type dining plan (or none).
Other than having to call before check out and specific travel dates, there really is not much in the way of limitations usually.
And the front desk cannot book a bounceback for you. No need to go there or call them for that.

If I was wanting to book a bb and pay a deposit with cash, I would just buy a VISA or Disney gift card, put $200 on that, and use that card for the deposit.

This is partially true. If you book a bouceneback free dining ressie while you are there, you can add days once you get home. I did it for our upcoming Sept stay at Pop.

Use caution though. I called to add days to last year's ressie but since
each resort only has so many rooms blocked for the bouceback free dining, we would have had to change resorts to add the days (from POFQ to CS). So we didn't end up staying longer.

I know people who decided to extend their vacation. And it was near impossible, to impossible to do so without switching resorts or rooms.
It is MUCH easier to take a few days off than adding.
I always suggest to friends when they book to book as many days as they think they may even have a chance of staying. I have had too many who made a lot of extra stress for themselves and others, not to mention the time spent trying just to add days to a res.
