Bounceback Question

I have read about bounceback offers only being valid while you are at the resort, but I have not read anything if it is just for the resort you are checked in to. We are booked for the All Star Sports and if they offer the bounceback, would be interested in maybe staying at a different resort.

The bounceback offers I have seen allow you to make reservations at a different resort than the one you are currently staying at. You just have to book your next trip before you check out.

We are going in a few weeks on a bounceback offer from last January. I don't recall what resorts were on the sheet but when we called we told them we wanted to book at Boardwalk and it was accepted. So even if the flyer states specific resorts, I'd say no harm in asking for something else if that's what you want.

The main point of the bounceback is that you must book and pay your deposit before you check out.

I have a related question. When we were there last year it was 40% of deluxe resorts, 30% of moderates and either 20% or 30% off values. If you are currently in a moderate, will you still get 40% off deluxe—provided it’s the same offer?

Yes, you can choose any resort you want for the bouceback offer.....you don't have to stay at the same resort/category . You just have to book on or before your check out day .

Yup, your $200 deposit is due when you book the bounceback offer.

Just an FYI...don't know if the offer changes every year, but the bounceback offer that was in the rooms in May 2008 was for deluxe villa resort (40%), or Deluxe or Moderate (30%) off for specific dates between August 10 & December 13 (not all dates available.) There was no offer of a discount for value resorts. (I'm looking at the actual card that was in our room at POFQ in May 2008...I brought the card home.)

Definitely a different bounceback than the one we had in 2007. Unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage of it because we were unable to determine at the time when we would be able to return in 2008. I’m wondering *if* there is a bounceback in October if it will be the same one you had gotten this year or a different one altogether…

you get the % off the resort you are booking... if you are staying at pop but book for b'walk, you get the deluxe discount, not the value

i'm hoping for bounceback free dining again!

It looks like the offers do change within the same year. I was at the POP in april 2008 and there was a bounceback rate for the values. In fact, I did reserve my fall vacation when I was there. Here were the dates and discount:

Value resorts, 20% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Moderate resorts, 30% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Deluxe resorts, 30% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

DVC/Deluxe Villa resorts, 40% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

If the rumors are true and the free dining will be two CS meals a day, I would rather pay for dining and upgrade my room to a deluxe.

there is usually a flyer in the room. WDW also has the promotion on their own TV channel. Always Ask!! It never hurts. You may not have the flyer by accident and may miss it on TV!! I think the extension to call from your existing room was 8844. You do have to call while still registered to qualify. Good Luck!!

The bounceback offer card was sitting on the dresser in our room at POFQ in May 2008 (was sitting next to the coffee maker.) It was a large gold-pocket-watch shaped card (8x10, approximate) with the details on it.

I've also read that the offer shows up on the Disney resorts channel on the television, but we didn't watch t.v. while we were there, so can't verify that.
People have also posted that they asked at the front desk in their hotels when they didn't see a card or t.v. advertisement.
