Bounce back question

so we've just gotten home from the most magical place! Stayed at POR riverside and there wasn't a bounce back offer in the room. We are still newbies (and will remain newbies for quite a few trips I think lol) though this was our second trip to the same resort.

We did want to look into booking a bounce back but the week got away from us and I forgot to ask everytime I was at the front desk.

Long story short: does anyone know what the bounce back is now? And would we be able to call DISNEY to inquire about booking even though we checked out this morning?

Thanks!!

Maybe... last year the bounce back offer was inside a booklet in the room by the TV, I believe. You can certainly call and ask. I believe its up the resort manager to decide.

Give it a try, can't hurt. And then report back on your experience. Good Luck!!!

I've read different things. Some say before you leave the resort, others say you have until midnight on checkout day. I did the same thing you did once. By the time I called that night when I was at the airport, I was told that the people who handle bounceback offers were not available and I should call back the next day. Of course, when I called back the next day it was too late. Don't let them tell you to call back. It will definitely be too late then.

On our last trip, I made sure to call and book the bounceback on the FIRST day of our stay. I knew I might forget about it and I didn't want to miss it again.

Good luck! I'd like to hear how it works out for you.

Oh- and I think there may be a specific, different number to call for bounceback offers. I called the regular Disney number and that is where a CM told me to call back tomorrow.

Have to be there to be able to get the BB. Unless you left today and just got home. As you are consider still there until 11:59pm. But I have never been lucky to call back the next day saying pops I missed it. Been has to be there . Plus there is a special number to call if you make changes . Just my view

The BB team has different hours. If they aren't in there's no one for you to talk to, so you'd have to call back. There no alternative to that.

When I left the resort on 1/3/2105 I called the number that a cm gave me after I flew home. The reservation number was open until 10:00pm. If you haven't tried yet I would do so before then. I was able to book the offer. Luckily the dates we were looking for were in July so we weren't looking for a date that was too far out that hadn't been released yet. I was also able to change the number of days almost 3 months later but that may have changed now.

So we called and after being transferred about 5 times spoke to the right area

It's valid Until 1159pm. The price quoted wasn't worth it for us so we didn't do it (same price we just paid for on a spring offer) / but he did say it's only supposed to be valid Until you check out. Not sure if it made a difference that I said we didn't receive the offer In the room at all or not - but he mentioned the offer is only good until business hours close today.

That is correct information he gave you. Frankly they don't care if you didn't get the sheet of paper. One year I didn't have one in room & I called and gave me some dates but not all. I was staying club level & one of the CM looked for it online (in house) and found the dates for me. I was able to book two for the next year.

What is official policy for Bounce Backs? Before checkout, or before midnight on checkout day? Seems that official policy is before checkout, but they will still let you book if you call the same day after you have left and someone who works in BB happens to be available. Is that right?

I just looked at the offer I used last August, and it states "Book Before You Check Out!"

The bounceback offers are inside the Be Our Guest booklet that is inside the resort information packet in your resort room. They are printed and bound as part of the booklet. It is no longer a separate piece of paper. At least that is the way it is at the deluxe resorts. It should be in every room unless a prior guest removed it and housekeeping didn't replace it. The offer clearly states that the BB reservation must be booked before your check out. It gives an extension to call and a phone number. Bouncebacks are handled by a separate reservation group.

Pretty much. It's supposed to be before check out, or while on property. I've seen a little pixie dust on same day callings, though.

In the future, you can call the BB line without an offer in room and see what's available during your trip.

What's the minimum amount of nights you have to stay for the BB offer?

They have always been inside the welcome folder inside your room when we have gone. They do have a special number to call for the BB offer and I was told you have to do it before 10PM on the day you check out as that is when they close.

This will be our 4th trip in 5 years from Canada and always assumed the 'bounce back' offer was something random people received after their stay....will definitely keep our eyes peeled for it in our room this time. Are the bounce back offers typically good? ie. we get free dining this trip, another free dining offer, etc?

Depends on the time of year. Usually mimics public offers on the RO percentage but includes more dates and resorts. FD is usually offered during the early FD periods.
