I booked the Free Dining Bounce Back when we were at the Poly in the fall for next year. We are having a new baby in June and so we decided to try and cut expenses on the next trip. I called today to try and change our resort to a Moderate and was told there was no availability at the rate we have. Has anyone had this same experience? What do you think my chances are of getting the resort changed?

It's not that there is no availability for the hotel in general...it's availability for THAT rate. They only had so many rooms blocked off for the bounceback offers. My suggestion is to wait and see if free dining is offered to the general public and rebook at the hotel of your choice.

Yes!!!

We had booked last year as well - we booked for CSR.

I must have tried 5 times to upgrade to the Poly and kept getting told no.

I finally said I wanted to speak with guest services. The CM agreed to put me on hold and call them.

5 minutes later I had my reservations at the Poly.

Try it!!

I fight with myself over this same thing... We are booked at the Poly and although I want to stay there...if we stay at the POR it will save us 1300.00...but they said nothing available.. I thought about asking for CS but I am just not sure I want to stay anywhere with out the monorail again with having 4 kids (2of of which will be in a stroller)
But glad to see if I do change our mind I could ask for CS.

Good luck...let us know how you make out

To modify an existing reservation with an expired promo you MUST ask to speak with someone in Guest Services. If a floor res agent just searches with your expired promo code it will show that EVERYTHING is sold out. Please call back and ask to speak with a supervisor who has the ability to make changes. While you could wait for the possibility, which is a quite likely possibility for free dining, it's best to change it now. This way you can make your dining ressies before the next promo comes out and secure exactly what your family wants.---Kathy

We had a similar situation, except we were upgrading from the values and adding days on to our trip. Anyway, you do need to speak with guest services/relations. They are the only ones who can change your bounceback reservation. It did take us five separate calls to them to make these 2 changes. I think it all depends on the CM you get. The first 4 told me that we couldn't extend our trip, but the 5th said she'd be more than happy too:worship: ! I would keep trying--maybe someone will cancel at the resort you want! Good luck and congrats on the new baby!:goodvibes

I had a kind of similar situation last week. I also booked a bounceback for this fall but I had to use my mom's name to hold a spot knowing she was not going. Once I called (last weekend) to put the correct name on the ressie I was told that changing the ressie in any way would void the promo!!! :scared1:
When I booked the promo I explained about mom not going AND that I was adopting a baby who would be going also but had not gotten or named her yet. The agent told me no prob, just call when I had her name and the name of the other adult actually going and change them, which is what I was doing. Anyway, it took about 40 VERY stressful minutes and a call from WDW but finally got everything straightened out. :lovestruc

Thanks everyone:hug: I'm going to try and call Guest Services and see if I get a better response. I was on the phone with them for 40 minutes on Friday trying to get some of our reservation straightened out. My parents are coming to and the person who booked our trip booked it as a Grand Gathering even though there are only 5 paying guests, so that was a big hastle. Then I told them that my husband's name was wrong on the reservation. They had it as Christopher and his name is Brian! Then they told me that they didn't even see my husband on the reservation :confused3 . They finally got it all fixed, but it was a long phone call and I didn't even get my resort changed. I'll try and try again. Thanks again!
