I saw a bunch of new pics of the new building on the beach at Humphrey's WL Facebook Page. Looks pretty impressive. Town hall, QS, or TS?
Would that be the same as the pool side service that they have at Storm Along Bay at the YC/BC?A friend who returned recently from a stay at Saratoga Springs, reported that they've started a new service where you place your order at the pool and the food and drinks are delivered to you. She believes they're also doing this at Kidani, Jambo and GF so it's possible WL will follow this trend.
Poly had it too, last summer. And CR had it in April. I thought all the Deluxe resorts offered it, no?Would that be the same as the pool side service that they have at Storm Along Bay at the YC/BC?

I seem to remember there being a change to Florida timeshare laws that Disney had helped to shape right before the announcement was made for the new development at WL concerning existing timeshares and the associations right to alter the end date? Does anyone else remember this?
It is on these boards somewhere - I remember the VWL owners speculating what it would mean for us once the new development was put up for sale.
Also for those of us who purchased VWL directly from Disney - I purchased a 50 year contract that only had 41 years to go. If they want to give me those 8 years for free I'll take them.
Those 8 years will allow my children a few years of taking their grandchildren - I'll probably be a little old for Disney by then.
Curious if anyone has any updates on a completion date for the project? The first page has it ending on/or about April 2017............we all know that's a target..........not a promise. My wife and I are looking at going home in late August 2017 any thoughts ( I realize it would be total speculation) about where things would be?
New VWL (or Boulder Ridge Villas at WL, if you will) owner here... True, the sales force is not informed of the decisions... My DFamily & I were just at a Kiosk in Frontierland and the sales person wasn't aware that the new WLV and cabins were named CCVC or that the original villas are being renamed BRV. The sales person also advised me that I was buying a car without a motor when I told him my resale was submitted on 03/31/16, before the announcement by DVC that there would be a change to member benefits. When I advised him that my contract was grandfathered in, he insisted over and over again that it was not and that I was doing myself a disservice by buying resale, that I should rethink it before closing on the property. I don't blame the sales people, but I agree that they are not brought up to speed until all of the legalities have been settled.I like that they will be apart too, because I would scream if I ended up with the horrid roof top view from over the front desk as I did the one and only time I stayed as a hotel guest. (Love to sit on the balcony with my coffee in the morning.)
Taken with a pound of saltKeep in mind the sales force is not informed of the decisions until all the legalities have been worked out, contract wording is set and they're getting everything ramped up to sell. I believe that CCC is no where near ready to sell yet. Curious, Was this person at a kiosk or in the main sales center?
DH, DD and I visited in January... Construction was not an issue. The main pool was still glorious and we loved the resort so much, we bought into WLV in May. If anything, the construction has lowered the number of guests at the resort, so dining at Roaring Forks and using the pool was delightful. No crowds.I think you'll still find it a very lovely resort despite some minor construction inconveniences. The overall feel of the Lodge/Villas remains mostly intact: the music, the main lobby, the fireplaces, the lanterns, the boats, the restaurants. If you wind up lake side, the view is quite excellent, albeit with major construction going on.
Does the resort seem crowded? Here now in WL courtyard room. Construction side interior is clearly gutted. (No interior walls are visible) It appears that they are just beginning to add new interior stud walls beginning nearest Bear Face end. Still handing out Pardon our Dust pins. Elevator traffic is very manageable (rarely a wait). We haven't gone looking for construction and haven't seen / heard any that is readily noticeable. Pool traffic is about normal. I assume because there is only 1 now. Questions?
I saw those a couple weeks ago. I thought they were old cabins from Ft Wilderness. But that was just me guessingI don't think I have seen this mentioned anywhere, and this may be WAY off base here, but here it goes. We r staying at the poly now, and on my drive in on Wold Dr. Right before you turn on timberline to go to WL there are a bunch of cabins on what looks to be a staging area for the new dvc area. Are these the new copper creek cabins waiting to be brought over to the lake at WL? I just caught a quick glance while driving and could not get a pic, but they were duplex style cabins. I will try to go back there tomorrow to get pictures to upload. Anyone else seen this or heard about the cabins being staged there?
What would they keep them for? Or do they move then often? I have never been to the cabins at FW, I thought they were built in?Those cabins have been mentioned on other threads, and the general consensus is that these aren't the new cabins at Copper Creek but removed cabins from FW to make way for more RV slots.
