From what I have read the construction at WL is going to be a 2 year project. They are adding additional buildings and the bungalows.
Keep trying. Also POLITELY mention the DIS (my TA did and it was like a code or something) and your awareness of the offer. You do have to speak to Guest Services and you may have to ask to be transferred. The only catch I know of is if your trip is NOT on/after the actual closure date of October 25th. That may have something to do with it too.I've called 5 times. Was offered nothing. Lol. I booked on a bounceback that has zero availability left.

I believe AKL and WL are the closest in price point as well similar in room and hotel type. Also, AKL seems to have availability - maybe because of the size. We did enjoy it last time but some of the crew wanted to go back to WL. I agree on requesting specific things being the best course of action while being open to whatever is offered as well.AKL must be the go to option? They always try to move us there whenever construction or pools close. I told them initially that I just really don't want to be there so we did not discuss it further. I would suggest requesting directly where you want to go.
That may well be the case because if you reserve now you should be notified of the construction since it's been made public. Certainly we are in the category of previous reservation as we made ours in April.I also wonder if the courtesy adjustments are only being extended to guests who already had Oct 2015-2016 reservations secured *prior* to the construction being announced?
Yes, almost like a Jedi - just use the force!I believe AKL and WL are the closest in price point as well similar in room and hotel type. we have two weeks booked at WL from the 29th October. but booked with the uk WDTC. they have basically told me to sod off and that no one booked with the Us WdTC has got $100 off a night. she just said to sit tight and I should get a letter at some point to advise me of whats happening.
Sounds like a delay in one side of the Travel Co. Communicating with the other. Even the U.S. Agents in Reservations and Guest seem to not be on the same page. Does the UK side have a Guest Relations or Guest Services. Here, we have to call regular Reservations, and request transfer to Guest Services.we have two weeks booked at WL from the 29th October. but booked with the uk WDTC. they have basically told me to sod off and that no one booked with the Us WdTC has got $100 off a night. she just said to sit tight and I should get a letter at some point to advise me of whats happening.
I' m sorry you are going through so much. Maybe calling again (that must be hard internationally) and make sure they transfer you to Guest Services . Mentioning all the DISBOARDS members who have been offered the discount could help too like another poster said. If you want to move resorts, that should not be an issue either. I went thru a lot of problems getting a resolution too so good luck! It was not until I said I was going to cancel or find an offsite option because of all the nastiness that they actually listened.i have also just called the usa guest services who point blank said they were doing nothing for guests. that they could just change resorts at our own cost.
