Borrowing question

I am looking at an October 100pt contact that has 0pts for 18’, but has 100 coming in 19’. If we plan a vacation the the end of December this year/beginning Jan. (2019), I should be able to borrow the points when making a reservation 7 months out this year, correct?

The points simply have to be available at the time of the reservation, so, yes.

The 100 points from 10/1/19 can be borrowed and used for a reservation between 10/1/18 and 10/1/19. If using them at 7 month window you can make the reservation on 3/1/18.
