Borrowing DVC points for BWV-can we poolhop?

I'm borrowing points for a stay at the BWV the beginning of Feb 03. Will I be able to poolhop like members get to do? I certainly don't want to step on anyone's toes and I'm sure the pool at BWV is going to be just fine, but I'd love to try Stormalong Bay if it's available to use.

Stormalong bay is no longer a pool hopping option for DVC members....

While SAB is no longer available for pool hopping, your ability to pool hop to other resorts will depend on what your room key says - if it says "DVC Member" then yes, you will be able to pool hop. If it doesn't say "DVC Member" then you won't be able to pool hop.

Technically, people renting points from members are not eligible for the perks that members recieve - however, it depends on whether the member said anything about renting the points when making the reservation and whether MS noted this in the reservation - so, basically a roll of the dice.

Keep in mind though that the BWV pool is a very nice pool, so it's not a total loss if you can't pool hop.

If you're truly borrowing points, you would the the guest of a member and be entitled to all benefits with a couple of exceptions. You could pool hop with the restrictions in place that include no SAB and no AKL. You must call ahead to the destination resort and see if they're open for PH.
