Borrowed points not reflected on website account

I had checked our account for our contracts right after they were available online and they were perfect. We borrowed some OKW points from '07 for a family vacation and I wanted to double check those numbers. Our account listing for '06 notes that we have zero points available that use year, but also has zero for the borrowed line and zero for points available for borrowing? What the ??

Is this just a glitch in their system overall, or should I call MS and try to clear up? I know that they are swamped with holiday reservations right now, and if they are aware of this problem then I will leave it for a while.......

There have been glitches for a few weeks now.
Happened to me too! I called MS to verify...and all was OK.
They said ....Don't worry what's on line...we're having problems!

That might actually be right. If you borrowed points from 2007 for a ressie in 2006, that's exactly the read-out I'd expect to see.

• You would have zero points available in your 2006 use year because you've already used the points you borrowed. Those points were used when you made the ressie.
• You would have zero borrowed for 2006 because you have not borrowed any 2006 points -- you borrowed 2007 points.
• And you have no points available to borrow because you have no 2006 points, and/or because your 2005 use year is over and you have nowhere to borrow into.

If you check your 2007 use year, I think you'll find the points borrowed and also the available points reduced by the borrowed amount.

Or...it's a mistake!

The way I understand this would be correct. The borrowed points row is for points borrowed out of that use year. Since you cannot see your 2007 use year (unless it's a Feb), you will not be able to see any activity in borrowed points. If you go to "View Vacation Points Contract Detail", you should be able to see the number of points used during that use year at the bottom. This should be the total of any points remaining in the use year where you have the reservation (less any borrowed or banked out) plus any borrowed in or banked in assuming no transfers. If this is the only transfer or banking in or out for the use year it should be your yearly points plus the number you borrowed for the reservation you are looking at.

Aargh, I wish that we could see all three years that we could be using points from, since you need all three to make it balance. And it would be nice to look online and see how many points I have available for any reservations I could make, such as those 11 months from now when I could borrow from my '07 use year.

I feel sure that my points are correct, as I found the sheet from my last conversation with MS using this account and I had them verify the balance. Hopefully they will soon be able to give us access to all accounts that are currently being used for reservations.

You can also have them print and mail you a detailed report of your 2007 points/contracts. This will show the points borrowed into your 2006 use year.

I have borrowed from my 2007 use year into my 2006 use year and that transaction does not appear in my online DVC sccount. But then again, my 2007 use year is not online at all, just 2005 and 2006.
