I'm not up to date on all the strike stuff but I've heard that if they can't come to terms they will be going bankrupt. Does anyone know anything abt this? Should I not book w/ them? :confused3

The unions and the airlines have come to agreement. All that remains is for the Flight Attendants and Pilots to vote. The media seems to think they will ratify the agreements so NW just keep flying.

I have read some speculation that DL and NW could merge in the future, but in that case your ticket would be honored....

They are already bankrupt (which means you can't buy insurance). But as Carol said, the unions have come to agreement, so chances are they will keep flying. USAir was in bankruptcy twice and worked their way out of it.
