Booking through a 3rd party

I want to make travel arrangements this August. I have always gone through the WDW website because I could make payments. If I book through 3rd party like travel agents or even Southwest, would the entire payment be demanded up front or would I still be able to make payments?

I'm not sure about Southwest, but with a TA, you should be able to make payments, although it may be up to the individual travel agent.

I booked through my AAA travel agent and I could have set up to make payments with her, but instead I put it all on my Disney Visa since I get 6 months interest free for a WDW trip and I intended to pay it all off within 6 months anyway.

This past summer I began working on the side planning WDW trips for our local travel agency. Each travel agency is different - we operate just the same as WDW. Our price is the exact same down to the penny and there is a $200 deposit for each room due at booking and then the balance is due 45 days out. You can drop by and make payments or your credit card will be charged for the final balance about 47 days out to make sure that it makes the deadline.

Just check with who you plan to use - - some agencies have hidden costs and booking fees. I have heard of one that would charge for each ADR they made which is ridiculous! WDW pays the travel agency the commission but it doesn't come until after the trip. The hidden fees help the travel agency to get more money up front.
