Booking multiple studios at Poly

We are currently talking about our next big family trip and one of the options we were considering was Poly. Since they only have studios (bungalows out of our point range), we would need 3 and I know on the member site we can't view/book multiple studios at once. Is member services able to do this? We don't own at Poly so this would be a 7 month booking and if we book at our home resort at 11 months I don't want to loose the 11 month reservation just to book one studio at a time to find out only 1 or 2 were available (if that makes sense)

Unfortunately even MS can’t book multiple studios at a time. You are taking a risk. Perhaps noting if preferred and lake view studios are available, you get the sense that there are at least two.

Often here you get the sense that Poly studios are generally available at 7 months, but there is no guarantee.

While Member Services can't book multiple Poly studios at the same time, they can tell you if the number of rooms you're looking for are actually available. On more than one occasion, I've had MS tell me that I got the last room, or that they're are "more than 5" rooms available.

I frequently book two studios at Poly (home resort). There was a brief period back in 2017 where you could book two connecting studios as a separate booking category. It didn't last very long though. I wish they'd bring it back. Made my life simpler.

Oh perfect, at least they can see if there are enough. That's really all I need. That would be nice to bring back booking connecting studios. I guess it posed too much of a strain on the room assignments.

I'm new to this and not yet an owner, but I know this situation will be on the horizon for us should we choose not to book a 2bd elsewhere. We want to make Poly home, but also want everyone reasonably close. In the event of booking 2 studios, would I make one reservation in my name and the other in my son's? We'd have all the kids in "his" room. Kids at time of (likely) first trip as a member will be 19, 15, and 13.

They will be an individual reservation. You book one and then the other. You can put any adult over 18 as the lead guest in the room.

At Poly, you can request connecting and for the most part, it should happen.

I've done this a couple of times. As Sandi said, you make two separate reservations. Best to make one in your name and one in someone else's name. Otherwise, Member Services is prone to canceling one of them as they'll assume they're duplicates. Once both are booked, you'll want to call MS and have them note each reservation as "traveling with" the other reservation AND that you'd like "connecting" rooms. Since all except 2 of the 360 studios at Poly connect to another studio, this is pretty much a sure thing request (but still only a request). Poly is the only DVC resort that has connecting studios.
