Booking car with SW RR points

I am looking at booking a car with SW RR points. I am looking at using Alamo and I am wondering If I can call Alamo and add my Alamo insiders number to the rental so I can use the kiosk? Thanks for any help.

I'm going to doubt that you can. I booked through National (part of Enterprise Holdings, who also owns Alamo) using reward points from a credit card. When using any rewards points program, the rental is essentially prepaid. As such, you must present yourself at the counter to claim you rental. I was told that you would be able to add my National Emerald Aisle number to my account and claim any benefits (e.g., free additional driver), but could not do so over the phone. Like you, I wanted to bypass the counter and go straight to my car.

Hopefully you will find out differently and maybe I too will learn something and we both can avoid the counter lines. But, I am gladly taking the "free" rental in exchange waiting in line.

You don't need to be an Insider to use online checkin or the kiosk. Anyone can do it.
