Booking 2 rooms - can we get keys for both?

We will be going to WDW next year for spring break. I have a 2 BR booked for me, DH, younger DS and a friend, and a studio booked for older DS (18) and a couple of his friends. When we check-in, will it be possible for the boys in the studio to get their keys and the keys to our room? I don't want someone to always have to be in the room if they want to come in for food or do laundry. Has anyone done this before?

We've gotten one extra key for each room on previous visits. It may not work, however, if you are on the Dining Plan, as that is also encoded on all the keys.

You can get a spare key that is just a key.
